Should We Launch a Kid to Space?

Why you think so? Why you think it would be PR Disaster? what could go possibly wrong As kid i dreamed to go into space, i began dream it as young kid as i watched one movie in TVP (Polish Public National television) in it's weakly Saturday with Walt Disney with was usually classic Disney Cartoon and one feature length movie for kids and teens in my case it was this move In this case was accidental launch of Space Shuttle full of kids (very Kerbal if you ask me ) but i wonder if we ever do real space mission under adult supervision pf course it would help people understand how our Earth fragile is that that, is our home cradle of life as we know it, but as someone wise told, no one rest in cradle forever that colonization of space is not only possible but it's necessary, the sooner we realize it is the better. LOL That's good one- 128 replies

As for collecting medical data even adults have temper tantrums As for G-load is on normal rollercoaster is more higher than astronauts can experience on Space Shuttle or Soyuz http://rollercoaster.wikia.com/wiki/Highest_G-Force_on_a_Roller_Coaster yet kids are allowed there Agree on that it would probably 14-19 years old, until we invite rocket that can pull manageable G load on launch, but we had still left with re-entry g-load sensationalist garbage? Why you think so?- 128 replies

Should We Launch a Kid to Space?

Why not someday we will live in space for generation, and kid's could certainly handle it's better than 77 years old man with all due respect for that man, Plus form i know space travel can be deeply psychological changing experience, maybe it would inspire such kid to do something great? That school is not complete wast of time, despite all that teachers that constantly prove them that it is- 128 replies

they would survive, if they are prepared enough 3 Gs on launch and reentry is not something that kid in good health could not handle if 77 years old guy can handle it so on will be with 12-16 years old teen Kids could do more dangerous and stupid thing than that- 128 replies

Should We Launch a Kid to Space?
Pawelk198604 replied to Pawelk198604's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Maybe it's pure marketing but it's had value in itself, see someday we might colonize outer space first our own solar system than other System like Proxima Centauri and so on Beside kids do dangerous stuff already, and it's good if it's goes to right direction, kids, teens and young adult goes for extreme sport, like this boy And it's don't diminish with age Because that make us human our adventurous spirit, berceuse we want discover new thing to boldly goo.... Not compare space exploration to giving vodka to kids, soon we would need to leave Earth anyway- 128 replies

Agree i chosen rather poor wording, But Gagarin while he was first ever human being doesn't have active control over Vostok 1 spacecraft everything was fully automated thanks to this man ingenuity- 128 replies

Exactly it would mainly public stunt like Yuri Gagarin or Valentina Tereshkova first flight but it would be scientific endeavor as well to learn how young human organism works in space :-)- 128 replies

testing new fairing and Jool IB rocket for upcoming missions

I means does you setting thrust limiter settings in VAB editor, Often happens to me that i lose control over my rocket on low attitude when i put pedal to the metal to much on 1st stage I remember old days on KSP when you only had just accelerate as fast you can and than tilt rocket in direction of orbital plane you want usually 90 degree ;-) on altitude about 20 km and you ware on orbit Now i's more demanding but also give more fun and realism So i wonder does you use thrust limiter, because if i do so i usually do it only for 1st stage, because i like speeding to much (Good, there is no any Kerbalian police patrol here )

Moho Kerbstone 1 humiliating test flight failure :-)

I always get little bit laugh when i intentionally put my Munar probe into collision course with Mun, or when i intentionally de-orbit my old satellites and make them burn up in upper Kerbin Atmosphere get "Catastrophic Failure" description on mission report, it was not "catastrophic" but "planned" failure

Does landing on far side of the Moon is possible?
Pawelk198604 replied to Pawelk198604's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I know that but they can just place relay on Moon orbit. -
I just wonder why during Apollo era no one tried to land on back side of the Moon? I just wonder, because today landed on opposite side of Minmus on KSP, i did not play KSP for long time and forgot how wonderful and intellectually enriching playing KSP is to make a long story short, when i played KSP and landed on Minmus i forgot that i put on Minmus a satellite over month ago (lin this case literally and figuratively ) so i landed on back side of the Minmus and satellite bounced my radio to KSC So i wonder, Hey why NASA not tried this IRL The obvious is that NASA could not have a permanent direct connection with LEM, but a relay in orbit around the moon would solve the problem. I know there are more geek in this forum who know better about orbital mechanics than me, and probably many of you will find this idea stupid, but still I would like to know your opinion?

What do you think about my mission i get 170 tech points from it And i have one question what you think about "leadership initiatives" strategy does is worth spending on it instead unlocking techs tree?
