  1. Am I the only one who dislikes the fact that so much of the space in a rocket body goes to waste? I mean, just that one little engine at the bottom? I know the long cardboard tube is needed for stability, but still. I wish I could have a really long engine. Maybe that's just the "big boosters" feeling from KSP.
  2. Middle School is the toughest time for everything. No matter what people tell you about asking someone out, it's really really going to be hard. Don't even a little bit expect it to be easy with the advice others give you. But that doesn't mean "give up."
  3. I think in Star Trek, laser weapons are useless against starships due to the hull plating, but phasers can do damage, and shields protect against that. Of course, that's just Star Trek, no real bearing on reality.
  4. I'm a veteran of the community, and my numbers show this. I for one enjoy +rep more.
  5. The LV-T15 looks great! Excited to see the L-V2 Liquid Rocket Motor!
  6. You forgot my favorite part, where Maxmaps said he really liked the HypeTrain
  7. These look great! Any chance you could do a deployable grid fin? I especially like the Docking Port, they look much better. What ever happened to the L-V2 and the LV-T15 Engines?
  8. DINGDINGDINGDINGDING! We have a winner!
  9. I found this leaked screenshot from the dev builds of Valentina.
  10. I can fly without SAS. I had to back in the pre-0.21 days, and currently I'm using the demo to host a Kerbal Space Race at my school, so I have to be able to fly without SAS there.
  11. I deorbited randomly, and I managed to come in right down near the Jeb-Un Somethingorother monument. (It does have a name, try crashing into it or installing RealSolarSystem and crash into it in deep space) It's a crappy Planet Express Ship, incidentally. And it didn't exactly land successfully. I guess I should probably harvest some stem cells from adults that I killed and put the Kerbals' dead heads in a vat full of placenta or something.
  12. Am I the only one who really wants to fly the Planet Express Ship in Kerbal Space Program? I request a Kerbalized (Stockalike styled*) Planet Express Ship be made with support for RoverDude's alcubiere drive and also as a functioning thruster engine. http://theinfosphere.org/Planet_Express_ship *Like C7 Aerospace Parts, except with "Electric Mucus" and red colors.
  13. When is that blog post coming? After looking through the previous parts of the thread, I've remembered the possibility of manned exploration. So I thought about the low budget of the MEA, and... well... How could they afford a space suit? Pretty happy. I discovered an easter egg that no one else did. Not even the Microverse is free of the Munoliths. I can't believe no one tried looking at the dark side. It's not actually, floating, btw, it's my camera angle. When your camera gets close to it it plays a sound effect. EDIT: Better picture.
  14. As a big fan of things rotating very fast, I like Corson. - - - Updated - - - Because I don't like the lore around Slate and Eeloo, I've rewritten their descriptions. Slate Evidence suggests that Slate once had an atmosphere only a few million years ago, when an unknown cataclysm stripped it's atmosphere away, leaving only a dry husk behind. It's yellow and brown colors have inspired many painters since it's discovery, including the renowned Vincent Van Kerman. Eeloo Discovered shortly after Plock, the squareheads in charge of the records and history department confused the two celestial bodies in the history books for several years. The surface of Eeloo is covered in brown scratches, full of cryovolcanic wibbly stuff. It probably has an ocean somewhere beneath it.
  15. I would like to say that if we do get more planets, it will have to be after 64 bit is stable on windows (and thus making 32-bit the less recommended one, I mean seriously who still has a 32 bit computer), and that they should definitely hire the guys who do Outer Planets Mod to do the artwork for them. Maybe not directly porting in the planets, but they are the only planetcrafters who have mastered stockalike planet making.
  16. I cheated to put a Super-Heavy Lander (the stock craft) on Priax and Polta, the moons of Urlum. It removed the sense of accomplishment I got when I sent out a mission.
  17. The new IVAs look so unbelievably spacious! I want to be able to get out and walk around them! Movement would be first person through the same control scheme as jetpack, including being able to grab onto ladders. You could interact with individual sciencey bits in the science lab, and maybe some command pods might have special features. Maybe the Cupola would have a control panel for a robotic arm, and you could only control the robotic arm in IVA with a Cupola? Maybe the Hitchhiker Storage Container has a map-view computer built into it. When on the surface of a planet, walking is based on the orientation of the pod. And if the pod is spun up, then you should be able to walk against the centrifugal force.
  18. A thumbtack of static gravity on the fabric of spacetime.
  19. The Venusians hadn't had a Moon to encourage space exploration, but they had something the Earthlings hadn't. The Space Department of Krakojass had their eyes on Earth. Something that held the possibility of being just like Venus. But they never invented the radio. Every single space probe they ever launched was Kerballed. They started with a Moon landing, and the mapping effort found interesting debris. Upon returning to Venus, a full expedition was planned...
