  1. That's like saying "My airplane needs lift, wing parts can be used here. But those are the only parts that do that, so I should only be able to throttle up to 50% or use electricity to pump air past the wings". Real spacecraft use radiators, just as real spacecraft use rocket engines or solar panels.
  2. Yes, and it has a fix capable of being done by mod makers, I believe adding a "rescaleFactor" line does this. this mod fixes it for stock parts, and that's how it does it.

  4. After playing a bit more with the LV-T15, I have come to a few bits of critiscism. 1: I do like the superthrust. 2: It is a bit too efficient. 3: It needs to overheat waaaay more. I shouldn't be able to run it at more than 75% throttle without it coming dangerously close to overheating very quickly. 4: Make it unlock in basic rocketry, with the T30. 5: Make it have a texture change as ablator is used, like the heatshields. Additionally, some thoughts on other stuff. -The poodle's tankbutt for 2.5m parts disappears when reloading a quicksave. -The KS-25 engine (and probably others) have too low gimbal. In stock, it's 4 degrees, not 1. -KS-25 single engine should be given an even bigger gimbal (Space Shuttle Main Engine!) -How about a KS-25x3 cluster built for Mk3 fuselages for Space Shuttles? -The black on the Kerbodyne stuff isn't dark enough. -There isn't enough black-striped-Saturn-like texturlyzation on the Kerbodyne Tanks. -I would really like some Venalike 5m Kerbodyne tanks and engines. This would make the previous complaint null. --Change the Mammoth to be an 8x cluster of H-1 like engines, such as the Saturn I and IB. No change in stats, just the appearance. ---Current Mammoth model used as a 5m Space Launch System cluster. --Or use F-1-alike engine cluster. --And a Rhino cluster to go along with it. -The Mk1 Pod's top node isn't quite 0.625m. -The Rockomax tanks should be made a bit darker (grey/silver, maybe even making use of texture replacer's reflections?) -Mainsail doesn't work with its model anymore, as it is no longer efficient enough to be cryogenic like the Delta-IV. An F-1 engine might be a better model again, but not the F-1B. The current Mainsail model could be repurposed as a heavy lift engine for Kerbodyne size (the sleek, white casing enspecially!), as a heavy lifter in between the Mammoth cluster and the Rhino upper stage. -I have to uninstall for now until the fleas and fuselages and such have fixed sizes. -Can you make the heatshield grey? I think it would look better than the brown/orange one we have in stock. -I like the grey tankbutts that are currently on the Orange tanks. I think they would look really really good on the 1.25m fuel tanks as opposed to the red/orange color. -Black stripes on FL-T tanks!!! EDIT: Also, I really really dislike the new girders. They are just not okay. Another thing to bring up. I believe Shaw once said that you could replace the Kerbal model as long as you used the same joints and animations and whatnot faithfully. Is it possible you could create a new spacesuit model and see if that can be put into the game?

  6. In a big enough black hole, spaghettification doesn't happen at the event horizon, afaik. What I think happens, is that inside a black hole, gravity is so strong it is a different law there, so it spirals in rather than able to be ellipses/parabolas/hyperbolas/circles.
  7. And I think... Perhaps... The LV-T15 might be a bit overpowered in thrust. Lowering Max Thrust down to 390 kN and Isp 210s, 260s might work. And to fix the bad scale of the fuselages, fleas, etc., I believe adding a RescaleFactor to the part configs or module manager might fix it.
  8. Yeah, the Ram Air Intake seems to have been replaced with another circular intake. Please give it its shape back! - - - Updated - - - I really really really like your use of the ablator mechanic to satisfy the "overheating easily" requirement of the LV-T15! Now, what about the L-V2?
  9. Yay! My LV-T15 is in-game! A drawing I made became a beautiful thing! I love this daschund! Also, the Mammoth and the other KS-25 single engine have the wrong gimbal. In the update, they upped it to something like 3 degrees, along with most engines getting gimbal buffs.

Incidentally, I have noticed as soon as I loaded the VAB/SPH first time in 1.0, that there are no female Kerbals in the VAB/SPH grounds. If you ever get a blank part list from reverting flight to VAB or SPH (which might be from the 0.90 firespitter.dll), delete the root part of the ship, and the entire parts list becomes available, including Kerbals, Flags, and Asteroids. Now, get to work impressing me with your own funny scenes in the VAB/SPH using Kerbal Astronauts that are now a thing.
  11. Propulsive is meant for SpaceX to reuse its own capsules at their own launch pad when such a thing is made, if I'm not mistaken.

  13. You can't change heat directly to electricity, you need a change of heat. Radiators allow a change of heat. That's what those fins on the PB-NUK RTG are. There's not really a good way to use radiators to produce heat from anything but that radioisotope decay. Radiators, however, would be REALLY good to have to disperse heat, and the first stockalike mod to include functional radiators will be a must-have until 1.1, assuming they add radiators then.
  14. Minor updates don't get HypeTrains. At best they might get a HypeTaxicab.
  15. I really don't reccommend using CKAN if you are new to modding. Actually having to put files where they go is a good part of knowing how to troubleshoot, and a good explanation for why your game keeps crashing if you have 100+ mods.
  16. Gimbal on engines (the Ratite cluster at least) is too low. The new engines have dramatically increased gimbal, I would do 6 degrees for the Ratite.

  18. It is weird. Especially since, in the 1.0 demo version of the title screen replacing one of the guys who was previously there. I don't think those Kerbals are any of the orange suits, they're all rather emotionless compared to Jeb and Bill and Bob and Val.
