Looking for that Crawler transporter mod for KSP
The Destroyer replied to exospaceman's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Hi! I'm TD Channel - I had a link to the mod in the description, but apparently it's dead now. So, I've rehosted it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GcdyUT4tUlBL5XPor9AF_8QYycQTQHig/view?usp=sharing Should note the tracks are grey and not orange, and this is a reupload of a reupload of a reupload, but it should work. -
I saw pretty decent gains in both KSP1 and KSP2 (patch 1) going from a Ryzen 7700 to 7950X3D - generally about a 50% FPS gain or so. I also had a 100% FPS gain (20 > 40 fps while flying a small plane around KSC) in one scenario, though that might be an outlier - my testing may have been imperfect, but it was definitely a benefit. KSP1 tests also showed about a 50% gain to FPS usually, though in some scenarios like 4x phys warp burn of a large craft, no gains.

This video was a *very* large production for me, featuring up to 1500 parts in one scene for a giant space battle in the end... it's fun, come check out what happens when America finds oil in space II! -
Escape from Eve! | Eve Return mission in KSP 2
The Destroyer replied to The Destroyer's topic in KSP Fan Works
Haha, thank you! Yeah KSP2 at launch was very rough. It's still rough now, but better than it used to be. -
I might be the first to do this on YouTube, not sure! Figured I'd try a reasonably challenging mission profile and see if I can beat the bugs to do it!

The Destroyer replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Were you able to make any progress on the issue? If not, that's fine - I know you maintain a lot of mods, and I thank you for it -

Honestly, thought it was definitely a mod interaction. But, seems to be a fault of AirPark itself. I completed testing on both 1.10 and 1.12 with the same result. I've included the example "airship" but even the most basic craft is sufficient. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZMV8ixK6NRXnuCV81Dqhl3GvQzFrOzcQ/view?usp=sharing Video demonstration: -

Apologies, let me get a fresh log with just the incident... Initially tested on 1.7.1.4 , then tested with 1.7.1.7. Initial incident would merely teleport the airship fully intact, and the collision between aircraft and airship would cause damage. In the logged tests below, the teleportation kraken-destroys the airship outright. Video: Log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BWi9rL100yvl6twGTor3TT8qhrAv2UYR/view?usp=sharing -

The Destroyer replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I've been having some pretty unusual behavior with airpark - if I park an airship, then fly an aircraft to it, the airship teleports into the aicraft, destroying both. Using KSP 1.10 & RSS/RO -
I recreated the space shuttle pathfinder and its mission with Sea Dragon 17 from the show For All Mankind!

totm may 2022 Crewed Mission to Pluto with RSS/RO/ROkerbalism
The Destroyer replied to The Destroyer's topic in KSP Fan Works
I can agree with you on that - this project started well before the war, it's a shame what's going on right now. Glad you enjoyed the series! Heh, finally someone recognized it. Haven't actually seen the show, just always been a fan of how SBY looks. -

The Christmas tree does make a little easter egg appearance in the video I wanted something more serious and unique to be the surprise than the existing tree though. This video took months to make - TRAPPIST-1 will come, but not for awhile. Possibly even in KSP2, or next year. -
Thanks for the mention, it's an honor

After months of work, the biggest mission I've ever built and longest cinematic I've ever made is here - a Crewed mission to Pluto!
