  1. Is there a way to disable the mod from replacing the default Kerbal skins? CKAN installed this as a dependency for a skybox I installed, but I wasn't wanting to change my Kerbals. I looked into the config file and Googled but haven't had any luck finding a way to disable that. Hope you can help
  2. Wow... THANK YOU! Turns out I'm a dummy and just hadn't unlocked them in the tech tree yet. I have tanks that hold all sorts of stuff so I didn't even stop to think I hadn't unlocked the right tank yet. Duhhhhhhhh.
  3. I've tried to manually add the ability to store hydrates to the large holding tank just so I can keep playing my save, but I don't really know entirely what I'm doing and nothing has worked so far. Kinda stuck in my current playthrough until I can fix this
  4. Some of the more advanced fuel mixtures don't become available until you unlock later tech tree nodes. That might be what you're experiencing. Not sure if you knew that or not
  5. I do have the various IFS tanks, but I don't see hydrates on the list of things it can be switched to contain.
  6. So, I've run into a new issue and I'm wondering if this might be another conflict with SCON. I've setup a base on Minmus with the intention of mining ore and creating metal and then rocket parts to create ships to send out further into the solar system. I built a solar probe that I planned to fuel with liquid hydrogen. I have all the equipment on Minmus to mine and refine hydrogen, but I can't seem to switch any tanks to store hydrates, the resource I need to mine to create hydrogen. Is this another issue with the storage of that resource getting turned off because of other mods possibly?
  7. I don't seem to have any tanks that can store hydrates, meaning I can't mine it on Minmus to then turn it into hydrogen and further into liquid hydrogen. What gives? How do I store hydrates???

  10. @zer0KerbalSorry for the delay! I don't seem to have that file, at least not in any of the places you listed. There's a PartDatabase.cfg in the root directory along with several other cfg files, but nothing close to ConfigCache.cfg. It's not in GameData either and my PluginData folder is completely empty of any other files/folders.
  11. I'm not really sure how to answer that question. It all got installed with KSP Interstellar Extended. I haven't built anything that does any mining yet so I'm not using anything for ore currently. I just need containers for metal and rocket parts, and some part that will allow me to build ships/bases out of the stored parts.
  12. @zer0kerbal Any luck yet? No rush but I'm starting to get to the point in my save where it would be nice to start getting an offworld base setup Is there some way I can just unhide the parts for now until you come up with a more permanent solution? Thanks!

  14. @zer0kerbal I'm not 100% sure what that means, but I am running KSP Interstellar Extended, which seems to have installed something called Interstellar Fuel Switch as a requirement. From what I understand, that's the mod that allows me to pull up that window to select from a bunch of different options for what goes in the tank. I do need tanks that will support those resources so I can fuel my KSPIE engines/etc. Whether metal/rocket parts become another option on that list, or if they are separate parts that aren't compatible with those other resources doesn't really matter that much to me. I guess if I had to choose I'd rather they were all in one menu, but again, just getting them working is my main concern at this point (As you probably already figured out, you can see all the mods I have installed from the CKAN screenshot I posted a few posts up)

I have a bajillion hours in KSP, but mostly without mods.
  16. So I tried that, and it did add a new Simple Construction tab to the VAB part list. But I only see two tanks listed in there, and neither seems to be able to hold metal or rocket parts. Same as the screenshot I already posted.
  17. I can't seem to find any tanks that will store metal or rocket parts. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Not had much luck finding any answers anywhere else about this. Please help!

  19. Hey guys. Anyone remember me? I did some KSP videos a couple years ago, some of which made the rounds here on the forums and elsewhere. Time/money/all the usual excuses sorta put a stop to all that for a good while, but I'm finally back to it again! I'm doing a full on long form career mode series, and I plan on doing some smaller more "bite sized" stuff here and there as well. Annnnd there will probably be a bunch of other space/flight sim/etc related stuff sooner or later too, but I realize you guys may not exactly be the audience for that I hadn't made a thread so far because I didn't wanna just be like HEY GUYS LOOK AT ME, but I've gotten a number of messages from people who remember my videos from before and were glad to see me back.   21. Some really neat designs in here, but most seem to rely on using mods on top of mods. Sounds buggy and unreliable! Have things held up or are you constantly battling problems?
  22. Starting to wonder if I shouldn't just put rover wheels on the damn modules so they can move themselves around

This is still a work in progress so major changes might occur, but here's what I've got so far: http://imgur.com/a/yMkO3 Just behind the cockpit is the rover, drilling module, power module and refining module. The ship lands, the modules are dropped a few feet to the ground, then the rover comes and picks each up and moves them a short distance and sets them up. Can't figure out a good way to move them or to redock them with the ship. I do have KAS but that won't entirely solve my problem. I could put winches above each module to hoist them up and attach them to the ship from the ground, but something still needs to move them out to deploy them and bring them back under the winch again.
