  3. Thanks. Yeah, I walked, jetpacked, and drove the DEMV through the arch with no ill effects. Everything I did was in the lower part of the opening, though. I'm not sure if that has an effect. Thanks, glad you like the Venturer.
  4. Thanks, everyone. I'm fairly certain I could get this to another planet with some modifications to the launch vehicle and cruise stage. I may make a version with a three-man command module, should be as easy as swapping the part in the craft file and moving a few things around in VAB. Currently, however, I am working on a two-story, 5-Kerbal habitat cube, which will be followed up with a 3-Kerbal launch to establish a base. The reason for the small capsules on the garage (and hab cube) is simply not putting all my eggs in one basket.

Meanwhile, Jeb wallows on Eve, wondering whether he'll ever return to Kerbin.
  10. Good news, everyone! The latest version of my panels is now available on Kerbal.net! Added in the new version are panels with dimensions of 0.2 meters (as requested by TheCardinal) and 4 meters (as requested by myself). I will hopefully soon be uploading a video, or at least some images, of a rather nifty structure I constructed primarily with 4 meter panels.

  16. You might be interested in my panels mod, you'll find it in my sig. They're generic panels that can be used for walls.
  17. Triton is believed to be similar to Pluto, but we won't know how similar until 2015, and I do like me some cantaloupe terrain. I mean, seriously, what could be more awesome than a planet that looks like a moldy cantaloupe?
  18. I want one with an opaque atmosphere, like Venus and Titan. Also, moons that resemble Enceladus (Saturn), Miranda (Uranus), and Triton (Neptune) would be nice. Perhaps throw Mimas (That's not space station!) in there as well.
  19. I may once I build some new things with it. Most of my creations were in 0.16 with an older version of the mod. I did put a video in OP you may want to check out, though. No, but you can stick power-making things to it! These are structural panels, not solar panels.
  20. Enable RCS, orient to retrograde, and press "H" until your orbit intersects the planet. Then, land as you normally would, using H in place of throttle. It may take a bit of getting used to, but it gets the job done. I recommend not using Smart A.S.S. for the landing, as it is far too wasteful. Definitely use quicksave (F5) and quickload (F9) if you're not used to landing this way. If my capture software cooperates, I will attempt to make a demonstration video of the process. So far I've landed successfully on Kerbin, Mun, Minmus, and Duna.
  21. If you don't like the MechJeb pods, then you've clearly never played Portal 2. You should remedy that at once.
  22. From what I've found, it works more or less like this: Center of mass doesn't require any special positioning in most cases. Center of lift (not drag) should be as close to the center of mass as possible. This is more important for a spaceplane, rockets are generally better off with the center of lift near the bottom. Center of thrust should be positioned and possibly angled as such that the arrow points toward the center of mass. This reduces unnecessary torque on the craft, thereby making it easier to steer. In most cases, this will happen naturally. It's only necessary to do special things with the center of thrust when you're building complex, non-symmetrical vehicles.
