[1.8 - 1.12] KSPCommunityFixes - Bugfixes and QoL tweaks
internerd replied to Gotmachine's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I think the latest release is preventing me from loading craft. Whenever I try to load craft the game becomes unreponsive and I have to restart. When I check the log, I notice there is this repeated over and over and over. I actually left my PC running for a while to see if it fixed it and it was still frozen but the logs were now gigabytes in size. The log is here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kil4yy1egw3pxqk/kspcf.log? If I downgrade KSPCF to version 1.21.0, I don't have this issue. -
Ksp realism overhaul freeze
internerd replied to Mario13219's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Hey, I'm experiencing this issue too. Can't get any of my craft to load. I've uninstalled all my mods that I installed since the last time the game was running correclty. I'm suspecting that it was related to a bunch of updates that I did at the same time so I'm starting to think one of them is the culprit. There was definitely an update to RO so that is my next suspect. Edit: I think I foudn the solution, I downgraded KSPCF and it's working now. -
Has anyone noticed an issue with the predicted land site cross going awol? I'm playing with a heavily modded install, so I can't really test atm, just wondering if it's a known issue. Example: this is what it looks like at maximum zoom but when i focus on another craft and zoom in, I can see the cross. I'm guessing i'm mising something. Thanks.

New Mission builder and carreer interactions

I’m really disapointed by this, I’d love the idea to set goals and objectives for my missions in career. Doesn’t have to offer rewards or anything. -
[RETIRED] PEBKAC Industries: Launch Escape System
internerd replied to Kurld's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
First off, i'm a huge fan of LES(es?) so this is definitely getting installed when I get home. I love that it has a separate jettison motor. Is it possible to make the tower jettison a stageable event? I think FASA and the old NP LES have this. When you stage the part the tower jettisons and sails off into the wild blue wonder. Just my preference.- 118 replies

Any news? Hopefully good. -
Hi. Mechjeb's AS is currently only semi functionally. The differences between how Mechjeb launches and RL launches are magnified by Kerbin's large size in RO. The main difference is you'll be burning for velocity a lot more than you will be for altitude. There's a guide here on how to get an approximate ascent. https://github.com/NathanKell/RealSolarSystem/wiki/MechJeb-Ascents Finally, this is how it works for me. Set Mechjeb ascent with a turn starting at 1-2 km ( below 100 m/s) with an end of 75-150 and an angle of 45-55. As the LV climbs and becomes horizontal adjust the profile slowly to your intended orbit whilst reducing the angle (so it shallows out and most of your dV is going to attaining orbital velocity.) If you have about 10k m/s dV budget you should be able to get to orbit easily with Mechjeb AS.

Chaka Monkey - Closed Development Thread
internerd replied to YANFRET's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
drtedastro, there is a very basic config for RO, but it doesn't have much work done on it, yet. I think they have been re-sized. Might be a good idea to check that out. -
:-) sounds great, can't wait. You might be able to get away with it with OpenGL. 8k Textures chew the memory. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
-
Ahh, I didn't even think of offset. Now I feel dumb.
-
Idk if this has been asked before. Is there a way to surface attach parts in a line (rcs ports for example) ? I was thinking like drawing a line in photoshop you hold shift or another key and you can only exactly along the y or x axis. Thanks, :-)
-
Thanks mate. :-) For the record, I tested Tweakscale. Didn't resolve the issue.
-
It is the latest update. Version 1.49 installed via CKAN. Because the SM is smaller than RO was expecting, the thrusters are attached too far out? Should I uninstall TweakScale? It seems to have a lot of problems.
-
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? http://prntscr.com/5jwowq FASA Apollo seems to be all the wrongs size(and the RCS thrusters are weird.
-
How's your memory? You're most likely busting the 3.5GB limit. Try a lower resolution pack (the 4k and 8k textures chew memory) remove some parts (use procedural tanks) or try using opengl.

Any chance you could add it to CKAN . It's a superlight weight mod manager. Thanks for the great mod. -
Where do I find Real Engines config. The thread linked on page 1 is now closed. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, is there anything special about the PMA from the ISS Community Pack?. They won't dock with anything for me.

Like the new parts. But then again I always appreciate the more realistic rocket design. Each to his own.
