  1. Very nice! sounds like a dangerous craft to operate though.
  2. Extra Extra! Read all about it! Astronauts starve to death on first manned mission to Mars after a sandstorm sweeps the supply module to an unknown location! 7 month emergency supply journey is too late, astronaut cannibalism imminent.
  3. Still want real multiplayer, not some synched save singleplayer bs.
  4. Very nice, what engines are those? Have you tried making a Stock Aerospike version? That plane looks way too maneuverable to be a spaceplane lol.
  5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venturestar The Venturestar was an proposed SSTO craft that was undergoing research until a couple of years ago. It uses nothing but aerospike rocket motors to get into space.
  6. Sounds like it has far too much lift for the front or not enough. Have you tried a horizontal takeoff yet?
  7. An excellent tribute, did you make that today?
  8. There generally is nothing that a person can do in a mission that a machine can't do for a far lower cost. Not to mention oxygen, food, etc.
  9. I use fraps myself, but it has slight lag spots during the joint parts of the videos.
  10. Solution was that it just needed MOAR! Note that the I needed to shut down the jets after starting the rockets since the jet exhaust knocks them off now for some reason. It's also a bit of a handful part way through the burn... had to cut the engines once to get it aligned again. So... no joy to fly, but it gets there. Very nice! I never thought that this design could make it to orbit. Awesome job!
  11. The craft is still a WIP. When I get it to take off from kerbin, land on Mun, land on kerbin, take off from kerbin, land on mun, and then back again I'll post the craft file. Those of you who can't see the video have you tried using the proxmate plugin if you're using firefox or chrome?
  12. A video I made a few hours before the news was announced. Rest easy rocket man.
  13. Take that space junk! I'm going to have to try this sometime.
  14. SRBs were the first rockets and the lowest tech rockets.
  15. Is it tilting during takeoff or during flight? If the craft is tilting during takeoff, the angle of attack might be too great. If it is tilting during flight, the aerodynamic symetry might be off or the center of thrust might be off.
  16. This SSTO not only can reach orbit and land, it can also land on Mun, Minimus, and then return to Kerbin for a perfect landing in one trip. This is a video of the Exelion class shuttle I have been building for a very long time. Initially designed as a re-usable SSTO cargo shuttle, a few modifications has turned it into an interstellar SSTO capable of going great distances and breaking orbit of Kerbol. I eyeballed the whole journey with some help from Mechjeb, so the orbital calculations aren't 100% and a lot of fuel was wasted.
  17. Here you go, landed on Mun, Minimus and then returned to Kerbin. With a max orbit of 48839048 meters. Takeoff weight is 126.7 tons.
  18. Lol, you should look at my interstellar SSTO if you're looking for the heavyweight king.
  19. Have you considered ditching the jets and going 100% Rocket engines?

    Updates

Heh, I've been waiting for this moment.
  21. I can instantly tell by your pictures that your center of thrust for your space engines is way off from your center of gravity. Remember, building an SSTO isn't a fashion show, it's about what actually works. SSTOs are far more complicated than buiding a simple rocket, have you tried building a smaller SSTO first?
