Project Arctic Film- Be Part Of Something Great

Here, to pump up the thread I worked a tad more on the theme of the movie. Since last time (when it was private hehe) I changed almost everything, from the composition to the melodies and chords themselves. It sounds much better and is closer to my picture of Admunsen (because I made it after Admunsen which is the main character, so here it is) SoundCloud link! (It's private, please don't share it too much around ) https://soundcloud.com/refractordj/admunsens-theme-wip-arctic-project/s-MVO8T (Link is temporary, I'll delete it in a few weeks or when I'll have a better version to share, to claim back some space on my SoundCloud account) -

And that universe doesn't need to be infinite. If the number of atoms in an universe exceed a Googleplex (10^10^100, 10 to the power of a Google), every single molecular arrangements will be made, and so the structures will start repeating themselves, thus creating theoretically exact copies of things, so maybe our solar system, the Earth, and us. If there were that many atoms in the universe, then there would probably be an exact copy of you, elsewhere in the universe. Now in our universe there are approx. 10^80 atoms, so there's no cloning to be worried about.

You should ! This scene was brilliant, although we might need some more man-power to actually make it (modellers for the Kerbals and the bedroom assets, animators for, well, the animations, and renderers for people with good computer to help rendering the finished frames at the correct resolution). But it's so great though, it'll be soo sad to not have it included) On the other hand, having access to proper CGI (with all the people above) would open so much more possibilities and epicness for the movie. Best. Community. Project. Ever. -
"Jebidiah Kerman - Harmless - Clean" Best sarcastical description of Jeb ever.

Wowowowowowowow there, calm down. I never treated you like an idiot, and I never EVER said I or anybody else didn't want you on this project. You are more than welcomed here, and the point I was making is that you were talking about video editing when you brought up After Effects. This lead me to the conclusion that you misunderstood AE's goal; not that you are an idiot not capable of understanding how a VFX program is different from a editing program. Also you bring up a good point there: the VFXs. I said earlier that I could take on that part of the project, but more than one person is welcomed. And Yes, I think VFXs are much needed here on this project. -
Got a Mixtrack Pro II that arrived early ... Planning on buying a Moto 360 too if I get enough money ! If not, well, there's always Assin's Creed: Unity and/or The Crew waiting on my wishlists ^^ Merry Christmas everyone !

Erm, After Effects is not a video editing program, it's a VFX/Compositing program. And uhh, except if you bought the Creative Cloud version, that sh*t is quite expensive ! And even the CC version is 60€/mo, but you get access to all of the Adobe CC programs, which include Premiere Pro, which is a Video Editing program (and is the one that I use). -

It's here: http://solarliner.github.io/ArcticProject It'll take time to publish itself, so if GitHub tells you there's nothing there, come back in a few dozens of minutes. -

Well I don't think I can go Oblivion-level fancy, but making a somewhat Tron Legacy style end sequence, yeah I think I can do something like this. -

Boring rolling end credits sequence is boring ... Look at the Oblivion end sequence, my favorite by far: Even if we're going abstract, there's no way a "standard" rolling credits (there are, but at the end tho, and not behind a static picture, as awesome as it is ... ) Even for a short, there is an epic end credit sequence (skip to 9:48 for end credits, although watching the entire 12 minutes is highly recommended) : -

Responsive design with Bootstrap is along the lines of "One design, many formats" and if you load my langing page on a mobile site it will indeed resize itself to the size of the pocket device. With Responsive you design one website, and in theory it automagically re-arrange itself for mobile viewing (in practice, there are a couple of tweaks to do, but nothing too big, that's the whole idea behind it). I'll work on it then, see what I can do with a few hours of work. I think it's wise to get to the music stuff on the end, after the footage is done and edit-ready even. I know I need the final footage to truely compose the right OST. So the end credits stuff, if it isn't my Admunsen's Theme, will be something that I will make, well, at the very end ^^ True, it's something not that many people will see (cuz' let's be honest, only few people care about that stuff ), but it needs to set the final mood in the way the film wants it, and not have a "generic" piece that may be awesome on its own, but doesn't fit the theme and the story. -
Project Arctic Film- Be Part Of Something Great

Well I code my websites manually (well, using an IDE, but that's like coding after all, only in HTML/JS (jQuery)/PHP/CSS instead of C, C++ C# or whatever else), so all I need is a storage space (with PHP capabilities if needed) online and a web domain. The best I can do for free is 000webhost.com, it hosted the kOS Repository, a test site/proof of concept of quick source code repo for the kOS IDE, (yet) another coding project that I left alone. So I don't need no software, I just need some space ! This may be why I don't really like Wix/[insert Editor Here], because for simple websites hand coded work is always best (and brings up your ego, which is nice too ). But seeing it made its way to HTML5 is good (yep, sorry for the poor IE users !) And yes, I bitly'd it because it's a public dropbox link, so it would have normally been very long. Also if you want to access the gallery, tell your browser to stop disabling unsecured content, because it does not run on a proper server it does not have the right certificates, so they stop JavaScript from altering too much the page (in this case: background image, page title; which are all used by the gallery to show images and names). If you tell them to still run the scripts you'll see the slideshow in all its beauty If you allow me to, I can quickly craft something out of the ideas I had for such a website; I'm not trying to compete with you, I'm just pulling off ideas As of the landing page, if you want me to, same I can do it -

Hmmm, Wix isn't the best way to create a website. It still heavily relies on Flash instead of HTML5 (but that might have changed recently ,I might look at the source again) ,and its editor is kinda ... fuzzy for me to use. I'd prefer a simpler, but man made HTML5/Reactive/Bootstrap website than use Wix. Also a landing page like this one I made for Space Engine would be a quick and easy way to get people hyped for the project. But, it's your idea, you made it, and it looks nice (don't get me wrong ), so you have the priority over this. EDIT: Comic Sans MS? Are you kidding me? This is for when we'll have a clear idea of what to do ^^ For now this is random thoughts put on paper while other people add more thought while other people think of even more thoughts But yeah, thanks for the link, interesting read and good example to follow. -

Nice impact sounds ! But this is not the intro, way to light-hearted for that This is an early preview (well without the impacts it was my version ^^) of the Admunsen's Theme, which could also become the main theme of the project.
