It is Asmi's ECLSS Life Support Mod: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/58127-0-22-asmi-s-ECLSS-Mod-%28current-version-1-0-12%29-Life-Support-Mod -

I have been busy with R&D.... -
I think there is something coded in our instinctive behavior that compels us to always move into new areas. Probably part of a survival drive that we all have to some extent.

FlyingJackal, you can add 1.25 meter batteries to each end of the HAB and then attach landing legs to them like this. Although the current updated landing legs can't support much weight and this is still touching the ground. I'm worried that multiple HABs touching the ground will cause collision mesh issues and wobbling. I may try resizing a few non-stock landing legs next to work with this mod. Edit: Escepadie Suspension Leg mod will work if rescaled (rescaleFactor = 0.6 ) http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/escepadie-systems/ -

TouhouTorpedo has an Omniwheel mod that is basically this, but not really big enough for most of Lacks parts. -
I personally imagine any species that could survive even millions of years of advanced technology would have almost "magical god like" technologies, at least from our perspective. If they had machines that could create mater and energy endlessly, would it matter what was going on outside. They could just make solar systems as they needed them or create a bridge to a younger universe in the greater multiverse.

That is a nice accident TheSuperintendnt. Inflatable rover wheels......that has potential. I think I have my next base "if" I can get the new "improved" landing gear to behave. The only time it wiggled was when all four HABs touched the ground together. Then it ripped itself apart violently, but it's a KSP core issue I think and not the mod as I have seen this many times before with other parts. -

Nicely done and very "Thunderbirds Are Go" too. I have to fit that onto an Eagle before Logan does. -
Oh well another boring Christmas then. No Mayan apocalypse last year and no comet of doom this year.

I was thinking maybe a one time event seeing that it was passing near Earth (about 60 million kilometers) and it might spread out that debris field a lot by then. It might also be above or below the planetary plane by then too, so that won't help any. Well just a thought.

Hummm, Facehugger Kraken....

Is there any chance that the break up of ISON would create a Perseids like meteor shower?

I'm not sure if this has been asked or not, as I have not read all one hundred pages of this thread, but I'm curious if you are planning to add any side or end loading ramps for your hollow cargo holds in the future? -
I was thinking you could use the xenon byproduct as a fuel for a xenon RCS thruster. The thruster would have an isp of say 900, but the thrusterPower= 0.33 You would probably need to go with it consuming Fuel and oxidizer though. This does give it a purpose for using it on a non ion drive ship.

Try this one for your Hellenistic lander, although the link seems to be broken. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/32952-Octagon-Corporation-release-zone?highlight=Octagon+Corporation

Fractal_UK, I have been recording the radiation levels displayed in the command pod menu and noticed that the radiation peeks at around 850,000 to 950,000 meters with about 77mSv/hr. Is that about where you placed the Van Allen Belt and is there an inner and outer radiation belt? It also goes to zero at around three million meters and stays zero up to at least nine million meters. I haven't gone much farther out yet. I would like to make a small radiation detector part for unmanned probes based on your plugin and was wondering if there is a parts module text I can added to a part's cfg file to do this? This is just for personal use and not for distribution.

But comets do out gas and change course......I would imagine it will be out gassing quite a lot at 1.2 million km from the Sun or breaks up into millions of fragments like a big wide shotgun blast. I'm not predicting the end of the world, just saying.

I had a chance to play around with the microwave thermal rocket and it was quite fun. I started out with just four unlinked 2.5m nuclear rectors in orbit powering it and the power to weight ratio wasn't great. Then I launched six 3.75m reactors up with multiple transmitters and receivers to form a network, at that point I ended up with massive power ratios. It is a little hard to guess at the delta V as it seems to depend partly on how long you let the rocket heat up on the launch pad. It makes for a great SSTO craft.
-
Great idea, although the amount of Xenon produced seems much too high. Maybe cut it down by 100 times less or even more? If you used this on an ion drive it would have unlimited Delta V.

I wonder if this was done as a safety feature because of the issue with hanging parts and warping/reloading. -There was an issue that came up with the M-1x1 Structural Panel. I set it up so I could load it into a storage box, to allow it to be used like the ground pylon. When I went to use them on the Mun and place them onto the ground the structural panels just explode. Is there something I need to do to the part cfg of the panels to make them work like the pylons? I have used the Modular Girder Segment XL this way without them exploding.
