1. This is the thread where everyone can post their experience with eclipses of any sort! (Kerbolar, munar, mohonian, kerbal etc.)
2. I'm curious for the co-ordinates
3. Here it is, it has been there for a long time though
4. I would like a Saturn planet, and probably a Titan-like moon. Also a planet like Uranus with it's 97º inclination. Or a dwarf planet like Ceres and a asteroid in Kerbol orbit like Vesta.
5. I have been playing with KSP for some time now. I really want to make a video of me playing it. The problem is that whenever I start recording, KSP's framerate would go to as low as 1 FPS, even at the VAB. And I am too lazy to increase my RAM. So, what are the important settings in Graphics that I would need to tweak in order to boost performance in KSP? Thanks.
6. The only bad thing I can say is the fact that you can't land on Gilly. and you can't dock yet.
7. One way is to build separate sections of the elevator. Launch them and dock them with Erkle Warp Clamp mod *chuckles*. This is a feat never done before. Or another way is to build an animated winch mod. Very long one. 2,500km one.
8. Hi, I'm back again. Thanks to recent innovations by Mumech (Launchpad Obliterator), and a carbon nanotube mod I made myself and many logical positions of making a space elevator, I finally did it. I will go about making something taller soon.
9. My attempt at an ACTUAL space elevator. Used a mod I created myself. It toppled, HARD.
10. A long discussed topic, quite impossible. But can be done. With carbon nano-tube mods.
11. Laythe is much of an ocean world. I was thinking, someone should make a submarine that could go underneath the waters. I am planning to build my own soon. I would like to see how others create their own submarine. Here's a link to a Laythe Topo Map. http://kspwiki.nexisonline.net/wiki/File:Laythe_Topo_compressed.png
12. I just need textures. But the wiki only provide textures for minmus mun and kerbin
13. This is a video I just did within an hour in After Effects CS5. I can do more, as long as there are textures for the other planets and moons.
14. I use Sketchup, my old time favourite What I did was trial and error. But it was worth the effort.
15. Hi guys. Some people requested for a circular solar panel. (I myself also wanted one) So I decided to make one myself. The model and textures not based off ashrutoraman. I actually wanted to help him but I couldn't afford the troublesome conversion of his .max file. As I don't have 3DSMax. DOWNLOAD Tested and tried. Hope everyone apprieciates. 16. This is how I build boats. Parts and Mods used: Structural Wings um3kcorp Multifuction Utility Panels Jet Fuel Jet Engines DSM Command Pod Others... They go at about 40-60m/s before breaking apart. How do you think
17. 1. Find the second Kerbal Space center on Kerbin. 2. Build and Launch a rocket from the original KSC. (Screenshot) 3. Fly it to KSC 2 (Screenshot) 4. Land safely on that launchpad (Screenshot) 5. Launch again from there. (Screenshot) Bonus. Go into orbit. (Step by step sequence for proof) Difficulty Rating: :0.0::0.0:/5 Challenge accepted?
18. I have a command pod. But do not know how to add a hatch to it. Someone?
19. Not scientifically explainable, but nice storyline.
20. Many people wanted me to explain how Minmus was formed. Minmus is probably a dwarf planet or comet nucleus. Minmus might probably be flunged out of it's stable orbit from the outer Kerbol System by probably a giant planet like Jool. In the outer kerbol system, minmus is fully solidified. Somehow, Jool flunged minmus into the inner kerbol system. Sending Minmus's Perihelion (Periapsis) below Kerbin's Orbit, and into a eccentric orbit. Once it approaches Moho's Orbit, its "ice" melts forming lakes that are seen around the equator. As Minmus begins to be flunged out back into the outer kerbol system again, it had coincidentally been captured by Kerbin. Kerbin, then slowed Minmus's orbit. With the help of the mün, Minmus gained stable eccentricity but due to other gravitational influences, Minmus orbit was inclined. As Minmus's ice freezes again at Kerbin's orbit, frozen lakes on Minmus are basically frozen. These are theories of course.
