  1. You've installed it wrong or have the wrong versions. 0.23 KSP and EL 3.6. Try again.
  2. Spitzer or Hubble would look good. They would also be challenging to get up and placed because of their dimensions and limited attachment point. 3D models at the bottom http://www.spitzer.caltech.edu/explore/24-models
  3. I've never seen a millisecond countdown. 1 > 0 > high warp to next rendezvous. Rinse and repeat. Pick a number between 100 and 161. I've used most of the builds.
  4. You should have a settings.cfg file in your kethane folder. It should read something like this: ShowOverlay = False WindowLeft = 526 WindowTop = -2 The window numbers are where your map window are. That should fix Matry0shka's problem. Set Overlay to True to fix others problem. If these don't work then you may have a corrupt zip that you got your files from. Redownload. If none of this works then I don't know what's wrong. You should also have a grid.cfg in the same kethane root folder. It should read: Sun = 0 Moho = 1.012 Eve = 1.012 Gilly = 0.091 Kerbin = 1.012 Mun = 1.012 Minmus = 1.004 Duna = 1.012 Ike = 1.012 Dres = 1.012 Jool = 1.012 Laythe = 1.012 Vall = 0.1012 Tylo = 1.012 Bop = 0.099 Pol = 0.10 Eeloo = 1.012 If you have none of this, make those files by creating a txt file and copying the text into them and changing the file name from whatever.txt to the respective .cfg. If you don't see file extensions then I can't help you. That's a problem for a more basic/intro computer usage forum.
  5. I think the scanner beep is configurable on the scanner part on the vehicle. Right click the scanner on the vehicle. Your other problem? If you've been updating KSP and Kethane on one save over the past half year or so you probably have some old file somewhere or something in your save file that is causing problems. New versions of KSP should have new saves. Some mods make drastic changes that require new saves.
  6. Delete the Kethane folder in GameData. Download the newest Kethane. Unzip the Kethane folder to reinstall. In map view you should have a little window in the top middle of the screen with a clickable box that turns kethane deposit view on and off. Can we get a proper faq in the OP? This type of issue comes up all the time and you end up with 3-4+ posts with every one.
  7. If you're only putting up one satellite, sure. How about 3-6+ per solar body? Every one of them would need the extra parts you want. It's likely to dupe your first or second time booting up KSP regardless of mods. I use a much different mod set than you. I think firespitter.dll would be the only common ground. It's RT2.
  8. Do you want MORE parts to shove onto your vehicles? Parts that could be integrated into existing parts? Do you have enough RAM for that?
  9. That's way outside Interstellar. You might want to go hit up the BioMass mod.
  10. If you don't have a pod attached a lot of the parts are just considered debris and KSP planetary surfaces eat debris.
  11. Since when? This has never worked for me. It always rolls into the next rendezvous and high warps immediately after 1 in the countdown.
  12. An official release of habitats. Very cool. Kerbals need some space in space.
  13. You're using the wrong version. It sounds like you're using the version from KSP 0.21. Mods are not forwards compatible. Remove every single Kethane file. You might have a cfg laying around somewhere or even some erroneous data in your persistent save file. Are you using a .21 save? That could be the issue.
  14. If you put 3 in kerbosync and aim dishes at each other, they'll pair up. If you put in another three and rotate their orientation so you end up with a pentagram of connection lines, the two sets of three will talk to each other through omni if you also put 5Mm omnis on all 6 satellites. Three of those satellites should also have omni to Kerbin Command. Omni should take care of any drift and you'll have very little outage. Dishes should be 50 or 90Mm. With 4 dishes on each satellite you can use two to pair up with partners in the 3 set and two for the Mun and Minmus. Add a couple huge 350Gm dishes and you will only lose connection out in the solar system if eclipsed by a planet/moon.
  15. I think 1.2.7 was the last 0.22 stable release. Old mods are rarely forwards compatible and typically only if they have no plugins.
  16. The first 12 minutes is theory and MATHS. The guy does a pretty good job of explaining things if you at least had some middle school math.
  17. It's back to back holiday time. Vacation time for many. Heck, some Europeans take a month off. Give it time.
  18. You need the 5 million meter for a simple yet effective setup like this: http://www.polaris.iastate.edu/EveningStar/Unit4/Graphics/PicES4_8.jpg Three is enough for basics and it's easy to make. You won't have to worry about drift.
  19. 2.1.1 has been burning a lot better for me. Less suicide burn than a few weeks ago.
  20. If you don't know Interstellar intimately you're going to have a hard time coming up with good missions. And yes, RT2 has all sorts of weird issues if you change speed, change SOI, use the map in Kerbin Command, and generally just play KSP.
  21. Look at where those mods actually go. There should be similar patterns to all of them at the folder level. Think about where they go.
