  1. Nice design! I always liked the impression of rectangular exhaust vents.
  2. True. However after running into a few problems with CKAN I decided to do everything the old fashioned way. Maybe it takes a little bit more time but I hardly have to cope with weird bugs. I know I won't enable CKAN for my own mods ... if they're too technical for the user to install, they aren't for that user anyway.
  3. CKAN is overrated. With 90% of the mods you'd do yourself a favour when you install them manually. It's easy, hardly more work than using CKAN, you're improving your skills and at the same time reducing the risk of problems. CKAN is not without problems.
  4. You joker you! Left out the comma! But hey, that's a nice design man!
  5. Not at this time ... I need to rebuild a lot of colliders to improve performance.
  6. Made an experimental helicopter based on my new bearing design. As you can see it's fast with afterburner enabled, without afterburner it still does 115m/s. So it's a lot less draggy than my MK3 cargo bay based engines and a lot lighter while probably just as strong. This was an experiment using Panthers for driving the engine. I'm not satisfied with them, I'm going to replace them with Juno's - lighter even if it means more parts.
  7. Aha okay ... My fault, I should've written it more clearly: with no SAS I meant to say no reaction wheels.
  8. I think you might want to read the rules section again.
  9. To be honest ... despite the fact your car has rover wheels instead of landing gear, it wouldn't stand a chance in a economy challenge ... it's way too draggy and heavy. You'd need to build something from the ground up.
  10. I'm glad I don't have this information in my head :-P You'd have to use the search.
  11. Yes and no. It works but some parts have problems, there are small interface issues and in some cases shadows don't show while other parts can be seen through painted parts. Plus you need to study a bit how to fetch the required files, they're scattered through this topic.
  12. It looks allright. Might even be possible to lose some weight :-)
  13. When using sandbox and using 100% stock craft, there is no reason to worry. I have no experience with career. But as always: better safe than sorry, make a backup of your files. And instead of upgrading, choose to make a backup of your entire installation. This way you'll be able to run 1.2.2 and 1.3 side by side.
  14. I've made a smaller hybrid helicopter based on the 77I- Azi24 Cronus, because I don't always need a stock helicopter with the length of a 747. Same engines (Asura II, 50 blowers per engine) but shorter, less wide and obviously less parts. While the Cronus is able to lift at least 65t cargo, this one might be able to haul even heavier stuff and is faster because it uses cargo bays instead of fuselage plating. We'll know for sure later, this is the first flight test.
  15. It's a nice car, it really is :-) Unfortunately ... using stock parts is the only guarantee all parts have the same drag values, to prevent others having a disadvantage. So respectfully, I must decline. But put it on KerbalX!
  16. It's a control surface which is deployed when you activate the brake and/or action group (I choose AG2), moving directly in the thrust vector of the jet engine, thereby blocking all thrust while keeping the jet running at full speed. Very useful for racing cars because it allows fast braking and acceleration. If it's useful in an eco challenge ... probably not but you have the freedom to use them. To see it in action, you could download one of my cars. https://kerbalx.com/Azimech/77I--1969-Charger-RT-32 https://kerbalx.com/Azimech/77I--1968-Mustang-Fastback-10
  17. I'd love to learn to code ... someday. There are KSP mods inside my head ... and they can't get out! Edit: That's a fine little machine you've got there!
  18. All vehicles are required to maintain contact with the ground ;-)
