    Memoreh!

Some of us aren't using anagram solvers. But then again, the game was rigged from the start.
  2. Nobody remembers this but Khyperia made a proof of concept multiplayer mod, it loaded to crafts into a client and they appeared in game. It can be found on their github. https://github.com/khyperia/Khylib/blob/e0171d5f34911bba3dfd6c1f1975d3b2d627a3d2/Kestrel.cs It would take a while to clean up the code but it is a good starting point for anyone who is serious about making multiplayer, or even co-op a reality.
  3. Lets keep this on topic and not a "How the Space Race was a facade for the Cold War" thread. Back to the OPs question, Yes Apollo was worth it. What is this it?, well "It" in this situation would have to be all the combined efforts that made the feats acomplished by these programs possble. All of the funding, the man hours, all the blood sweat and tears put fourth by the scientist and also the brave men and women who have the honor of being called astronauts. Think of this in a big picture. Every technological advancement that the assorted space programs have lead us to certinly make the programs worth it. In all reality the apollo program and its associated programs have payed for themselves alone in the technological advancements they provided to societies.
  4. I have never gotten the BSOD on any of my computers. Regular maintence and not touching things your not supposed to touch will make using a computer a nice experience. In all honesty OP, if you split your budget in half and bought a Gaming Rig and a "Gaming" laptop, about 1500 on each, give or take. You could get an Asus G46VW Lappy, and build a pretty good rig, the sky is the limit. Setup some a good homegroup and bam, transfer saves from a game you played on the go and continue on a desktop.
  5. That just my suggestion, look at some benchmarks, do some reading.
  6. The AMD Phenom II X6 1075T is $160. The AMD FX-6300 and the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 totals out at $189.00 For $20 more you will see a massive leap in performance. Its an FX Series cpu so it is unlocked and OCs very nice. The cpu is also running the new vishera architecture, and has a larger cache. The Asus board has plenty of room to expand if you need it to. Link ot list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mo27
  7. Nice Rig. Hope it lasts for years to come.
  8. An AM3+ CPU will not plug into a AM3 socket. If you are going to upgrade to a AM3+ socket board i would recomend going with a FX-6300. This board and processor will be well within your budget and will remove your bottleneck.
  9. for $270USD this would be a good option, http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Phenom-Processor-Edition-HDT90ZFBGRBOX/dp/B003FVI2KQ/ref=pd_cp_e_0 i didnt see that this was AM3, but it is so it is an option.
  10. I would agree that your bottleneck is in your CPU, it is dated and no ammount of OC will get it up to par with the GPU. Your powersupply is plenty big, i dont see any need to upgrade it. You are on an AMD motherboard, your only option up from what you have would be a AMD Phenom II X6 1075T. You can upgrade to Intel or AMD, Let me know what you do with your computer and i can help you in a decision. If you want to build a new rig and reuse the parts you have currently i can put together a list of what i would recomend. Let me know what kind of budget you have and i can get that list out to you.
  11. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($119.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($109.98 @ Outlet PC) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($124.03 @ NCIX US) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($64.99 @ NCIX US) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB Video Card ($168.98 @ Newegg) Case: Logisys CS2008XBK (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.98 @ Outlet PC) Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) Monitor: Asus VS278Q-P 27.0" Monitor ($272.99 @ Newegg) Total: $950.93 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2013-05-14 15:01 EDT-0400) This should cover the basics, The monitor is pretty big and has great reviews. The case is big enough to hold everything and doesnt look bad. GTX 650 Ti Boost is clocked as fast as a 660-670, so should handle most of anything. Most was put into processor, board and monitor. Ram should work fine, that kind should be fairly overclockable if you want to. I didnt put an OS in because that is up to you, plenty of choices. This site has a pretty good guide by country so should do you better if what i put together isnt what you are looking for. http://www.logicalincrements.com/#hsfInfoToggle
  12. Ill build something on PC part builder, dont know how well american prices will transfer to europe. Do you need keyboard or mice? Wireless or wired?
  13. +1 on this, very good advice. Also what was said earlier about close knit group.
  14. OS X is acctully a Unix BSD system, so switching to a Linux Distro would be fairly straight foreward. Look into it, Linux will eventually take over when steam for linux gets released.
  15. There are plenty of arguements agianst apple, most are discussed in this video. Not intending to start a flame-war, just honest comparisons. Laptops are a very demanding market. The day that tablets can do everything a laptop can do, that will be the day that laptops cease to exist.
  16. After they were aquired by Dell, Alienware's quality standards went out the window They used to be a company with very nice gaming computers, Dell replaced good parts with cheaper inexpensive parts to cut corners to make it cheaper for them to produce. They then raised the price up to you the end user while still trying to piggyback off of their former glory.
  17. And now Leo with the news. The GTX 770 & GTX 780 have been photographed, Full article with pictures here. http://videocardz.com/41297/nvidia-geforce-gtx-770-pictured Not going to be better than the titan and scheduled to come out near the end of this month, with the New Rhadeon HD 7990 floating around with some pretty good benchmarks, looks like it can outperform a Titan. It would be cool if people started posting all computer questions here instead of making tons of threads.
  18. Hackintosh's are pretty wild. Getting them to work can be a hassle, Apple doesnt like their OS on anything other than a Mac. The Macbook should run KSP perfectly fine with decent sized craft.
  19. If you are going to drop 2K on a lappy, i would surely hope that it comes with an SSD. That is just bad placement by samsung, an 840 pro SSD in place of the second HDD would make that thing come alive. It is probably a nice lappy, for that price it better be. Good luck upgrading when something new comes out.
  20. Some complaints about the poll. You should use unbiased phrase. People dont want to openly admit their computer is crappy. Ok and gaming are two seperate topics, as Gaming rigs are purpose built(Usually) and a "ok" compy would be most pre-builts. Other is silly.
  21. ROFL, please read the OP before trying to correct people.
  22. I managed to stump it with Kyoichi Sudo from Initial D.
  23. The scenerios a craft that we are suggesting here is so multifaceted that it becomes difficult to produce something modular enough to be a true multi-role.
