    Memorials

Shelgar Kerman, Alsey Kerman, and Dunton Kerman These brave Kerbals sacrificed their lives to cover up the utter failure of the Kerbal Space Center\'s computer and autopilot development program, as a result of which all \'unmanned\' probes launched by the Kerbal Space Program have to be piloted manually. Their Munprobe spacecraft successfully performed its mission and landed in the center of one of the munar mares; its design, however, did not include a return stage. RIP
  2. That\'s just the nature of the activity that Flight aims to simulate. Okay, another complaint: Vegetation collision meshes are way larger than the plant itself. Also, running over a little shrub is apparently considered crashing in the aviation industry.
  3. I don\'t recall saying that.
  4. I think a lot of the flak that MS is getting over this game comes from MS FS fans misunderstanding what it is. It\'s not MS Flight Simulator anymore, it\'s not MS FS 11. It\'s MS Flight. It\'s a completely different thing, and I believe it deserves to at least be treated and judged as a game in its own right, not just in comparison to MS FS. Comparing FS and Flight is like comparing Orbiter and KSP. They deal with the same subject matter, but approach it differently.
  5. I would say MLP, but that\'s not something I feel guilty about at all. But I don\'t feel guilty about much of anything, so... Hm. Minecraft, I guess? Oh, and I consider Speed Racer to be one of the greatest films of all time.
  6. Because flying from point A to point B is boring as hell, but you get fewer points if you skip to the next waypoint instead of flying there manually. I don\'t know if it\'s possible to have something else on the second screen, I couldn\'t find anything to that effect in the options. But the game does allow me to move the mouse cursor over there, so it is actually using the second screen, just not displaying anything on it. I am slightly baffled by this.
  7. As MooCube said, the g key operates landing legs. Be aware that it operates all of them across all stages, not only those in the current stage. Design your rocket accordingly. Other than that, welcome to the KSP Forums! Happy Launching! Arrr! Admiral Sordid
  8. Wait, what? I clicked just the first one, selected 'extract here', worked like a charm (using 7zip, of course).
  9. Yeah, the price of add-ons is a tad high (as in, by a factor of ten). That\'s one of the things I don\'t like about it. Another being the fact that it hogs both my monitors, but only displays a black screen on the secondary. 'Oh no, you\'re not watching youtube videos while you\'re playing me!' What a selfish dick of a game.
  10. Because.... um... in Orbiter you don\'t get to carry tourists in your open-cockpit biplane? Who then in the middle of the tour announce that they kinda forgot to use the restroom before getting in and if you\'d be so kind to find an airport to land ASAP?
  11. Yeah, that kind of thing is called a reactionless drive. And the most important thing about it is that it\'s impossible.
  12. Well one of them is. Which to me is a huge plus point. The other is some kind of modern miniature pusher-prop flying boat. I didn\'t know anyone even made those anymore.
  13. They do have physics while in motion. Try placing them so that their path intersects another part, you\'ll see.
  14. Um, so what? Can\'t you make your own big legs for your pack? Also actually attach them to the spacecraft with, oh I don\'t know, nuts and bolts. Or something else that won\'t cause them to snap off if you so much as sneeze in their general direction.
  15. Oh, here\'s something I bet you don\'t know: It automatically recognizes a 360 controller and comes pre-configured for it. Not a hardcore sim anymore, no sir. I don\'t like the business model, admittedly. You get two planes and then it\'s ten bucks or more for each additional one, as far as I can tell. That\'s a tad steep. But the game itself seems pretty solid.
  16. Well they\'re too short for one thing (shorter than the engine, oh snap!) and apparently attached with velcro. Just ignore him and make your own.
  17. How about bigger landing legs for manned lunar landers and such? I find the stock .14 ones a bit... wimpy.
  18. You know what? I gave it a shot and I actually like it. So bite me.
  19. You can do this... But as you can see, the legs are far too weak to withstand even a very gentle landing.
  20. It\'s hard to say if it was deliberate or not, but there are scenes where it\'s extremely difficult for an adult viewer to keep his thoughts from going in that direction. But yeah, best to change the subject. Otherwise I might be tempted to start posting screencaps from one of the many, many occasions on which the ponies exhibited a curious fondness for prodding each other\'s rumps with their noses. Last time I did that in a forum I was shouted at quite sternly.

    Hello!

Welcome to the KSP Forums! Happy Launching! Arrr! Admiral Sordid
  22. Yeah, I\'d like to know where you\'re going with this as well. I mean, I do have a certain idea pop into my head every time I look at that picture, but then my mind is constantly in the gutter, so I\'m not going to elaborate until I\'m sure I\'m not misinterpreting your point.
