  1. Preferably as part of the in-game map. There\'s an obscure old game called Noctis that has just such a feature. You\'re out to explore a vast, procedurally generated galaxy, and you can name and write notes on any celestial body that you visit. There\'s a system in place for exchanging these notes with other players, so even though it\'s a purely single-player game, you can visit interesting places other people have discovered and read their descriptions and thoughts on them. It\'s actually quite awesome. Mind you, the system for exchanging these notes actually consists of the game exporting these notes into a file, which people then send to the game\'s creator, who then compiles them into an update, which you then download and import into your game. I\'m thinking something a bit more 21st century would be better for KSP. A P2P system, perhaps? Edit: In fact I think I\'ll go make a suggestion thread in Development right now, before someone steals my idea.
  2. Well, you did. Also, back on topic. Like, now.
  3. I don\'t think even a large one is much of a problem, unless there\'s half a dozen in response to each other. (you know, like in this thread ;P)
  4. Yeah, I think I need to get my riding crop out. Wait, that didn\'t come out quite right...
  5. What\'s with the image macro spam? When did this become /b/?
  6. Argument settled, eh? Well let\'s look at some actual facts: Astronaut fatalities during spaceflight: USA: 13 USSR: 4 Astronaut fatalities during training: USA: 8 USSR/Russia: 3 Number of fatalities during the moonshot program: USA: 3 USSR: 0 And I don\'t even like the Rooskies! ;P
  7. That\'s exactly how it is. KSP uses patched conic approximation where the spacecraft is only ever affected by one body at a time. One of the shortcomings of this method is that it doesn\'t simulate Lagrange points.
  8. That\'s just a matter of tweaking the .cfg files a bit, isn\'t it? How about it, Nova? Grab the old N1 parts, tweak them for Silisko Edition, and bam, new parts! Eh, eh?
  9. Is it just me, or is this shuttle rather tiny compared to the rest of your parts, Nova?

  11. Also, I can haz 2m decoupler plz? I get the idea behind the 2m engine and the fairing base and the fairings, but even with lots of struts the thing\'s just too wobbly.
  12. Yeah, just make sure you build it into a car that can actually get to the required 88 mph without having to replace the stock engine with a Porsche one. ;P
  13. There\'s a big flaw, actually. Let\'s say you do travel to the future. Now you\'re in the future, with all the technology you want. So why would you go back to the backwater, primitive past? I\'d say if we did something like that, the guy in the time machine would just go 'so long, suckers' and we\'d never see him again.
  14. DO IT! ...and make the tanks surface-attachable while you\'re at it.
  15. Well yeah, but it is an indie game he reviewed that I forgot about. I still seriously doubt he\'ll review KSP, though.
  16. I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen him review an incomplete indie game. Or any indie game, for that matter. I don\'t see it happening. I think you\'d have had more luck with TotalBiscuit or the Yogscast.

    Paradox

    It\'s actually a tautology.
  18. I\'d much prefer if you\'d just make the tanks surface-attachable.

    Age Poll

Actually old guys of the 41st century go 'FOR THE EMPRAAH!'
  20. Oh, that one. But that\'s a 1 meter decoupler. Building a shuttle with a 1 meter external fuel tank isn\'t really an option.

  22. Click the engine icon in stage 5 and drag it down to stage 7. That way the LFEs ignite at the same time as the boosters. Once the boosters are empty, you can press spacebar to advance to stage 6, which will separate the empty boosters while the LFEs will continue to fire. You could further optimize by dragging the fuel tank icons from stage 5 to stage 7 as well, otherwise you\'ll have a \'dummy\' stage 5 that requires a press of the spacebar but doesn\'t actually do anything. Also, you seem to have a redundant decoupler stage. Stages 3 and 4 are both decoupler stages with nothing in between, which is pointless. And stage 2 is missing engines.
