  1. Maybe he doesn't remember his name anymore. Me forgot her name after a while.
  2. Sjeez that seems like a lot of acceleration! Maybe a Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton can handle such g's. But I doubt elderly people or children can take that without injuries.
  3. Maybe the only way to "rescue" Hubble is to send a repair crew to her. I don't know the specifics of how broken Hubble currently is. But maybe we could send a (or more) Soyuz missions to the telescope with a modified docking port to dock to the Hubble. (such a docking port would be far more simpeler than the current port on the soyuz since it doesn't need to transfer any resources or allow astronauts to pass) Then the crew could start replacing the faulty gyro modules and whatnot and prep her up for a good number of years of service. The biggest trouble with saving Hubble is getting her safe and sound on the ground. This way you don't need to figure all that out and it is a progress to science.
  4. That is a very contradictory statement. The only reason there is a HST and that it still works is because of the shuttle. It was launched and serviced by the shuttle. Even is Hubble was launched on a expendable launcher it would be completely useless and the project was abandoned. The only reason she still works is because a shuttle could service her and place that new mirror on her.
  5. We place a ton of cardboard boxes on the ground where the first stage is supposed to land thus softening the landing.
  6. Link? The spacex webcast is still counting down.
  7. Strongback is still up, they might be able to refill the tanks with supercooled LOX. Recycled to 10:42 now. When the range is green they might be able to restart the countdown from that point.
  8. Still no scrub! Lets hope for the best!
  9. From a nasaspacefligth mod : Pulling guests. We're still doing ok, but the stats I now get to watch are really high already. No point waiting for it to go sluggish due to massive demand. webcast starting!
  10. I wonder what went wrong, probably something with the LOX loading. This superchilled LOX seems to be causing a lot of problems for the Falcon.
  11. Check this link. http://www.flightclub.io/world.php?watch=1&code=SES9 It has the planned trajectories.
  12. I'm quite exited for the new qualifying rules. Hope it brings some more changes in the grid line ups.
  13. I am quite fond of F1. I do agree with a lot of the negative comments on the sport (Mercedes is way overpowered, the races have less action). But things like Max Verstappen sure do make up for all that.
  14. I guess that has to be E.T. the video game. http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/jan/30/a-golden-shining-moment-the-true-story-behind-et-the-worst-video-game-ever
  15. Why didn't make squad a mod repository on this site? I remember the old days when there was some sort of website where content creators could upload all kind of stuff. Making this website filled with unusable craft files. Spaceport it was called I think. That website were better off without. But Curse seems to have a whole bunch of other problems. This time it isn't the user created content but the website itself that sucks. Why didn't make Squad their own kerbalstuff kind of page. Just mods categorized in a few groups. Latest, most popular, most downloaded & recently updated. That's it.
  16. I read a couple of books on the Apollo astronauts, and somewhere, the CMP's got the best deal in the long run. Yes they did not get to walk on the moon. but at least they got to fly there, how amazing is that. Collins had a pretty easy ride after the mission, the world tour was harsh but he got through and had the room to do what he wanted after Apollo XI. Neil and Buzz certainly didn't .
  17. Goddarnit I forgot the FES used these polar maps. But this might be a interesting idea to filter the true believers from the attention seeking 'trolls'. Come up with a idea for a company that only works according to flat world physics (whatever that is) and see who invest in it. I'm sure it'll be very few. And after that you can take it even further, write towards people like Alex Jones and David Icke, Who lso won't donate, then use there "they are illuminati who do not want the truth to come out" nonsense on them self.
  18. Okay, the latest comments made by such brilliant minds as B.o.B. & Tila Tequila convinced me that the Earth is flat. I finally escaped the lies the lizard people like Neil Degrasse Tyson, Brian Cox & the liberal media has been feeding me. Armed with this new knowledge I decide to use it to make cash. As we al know, the fastest route between 2 points is a straight line. Those of us who flew from one side of the Atlantic to the other might have noticed the weird path the planes fly. When flying from Amsterdam to Chicago the pilot flies all the way over Iceland and Greenland. Just check it on maps.google.com That's a long detour. those lizard people pilots just try to fool us. But I plan to start a airline company that follows the shortest paths on the map! That way I should be able to save a lot of fuel and flying time, lowering costs! Yet I've not been able to find any people who want to help finance my airline company
  19. Actually defining what a moon is can be pretty hard. See these fragments from QI
