[1.3] [Kopernicus] New Horizons v2.0.1 [2JUN17] - It's Back!
Ohm Machre replied to KillAshley's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I installed this earlier today and ran it for roughly thirty minutes, with a six-minute flight test. I haven't experienced any crashes Kerbin-side, but if I encounter one via Sonnah or beyond, I'll let you know. Check your crash report, and check to see if you're running 64-bit. 64-bit will improve your memory load immensely. -

Hype Train Express 1.0! (Pic Heavy)
Ohm Machre replied to Ival70's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
KerbalX no longer seems to have the Hype Train. This makes me very sad with the advent of 1.1. :c -
It'll be a good sight to see even partial proper hyperthreading. On Scott's end, it was a 150% FPS improvement, with no freezing during the collision. I don't care if I get that 150%, if I get more than 50% improvement, I am astoundingly happy!

No problem, glad to help, lol. -

So, I pulled those very drop tanks from teh legacy pack into my own game. And I noticed something interesting about them. The decouplers have drag, but not the tanks. So they do this weird flip when you remove them. Also, they weigh next to nothing. -

No. It's right on the front page. Do a CTRL+F for mediafire. It's just not a HYPERLINK anymore, due to the ban on MediaFire links. -

I don't see anything that stands out to me as being wrong. Try adding a fuel line from behind the cockpit to the wings, then towards the engines, and see if that does anything. -

Hm. You mind taking a screenie for me real quick and uploading it somewhere? Preferably in the SPH? If not, I can try to figure this out later. It's been a long night for me, and I need some rest, eheh. -

Then you're running out of LF, it sounds like. You need about 1/6 (maybe 1/5) dedicated LF for the J-92 Shcramjets. -

Yes. Hm, now I have to think about this. Remember that the Linear Spike requires Oxi, as well. -

Don't know if you saw my edit, but the Dark Drive requires both LF and Oxidizer. -

Ohm Machre replied to K.Yeon's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If you're putting fuel in the wings or on parts attached to the wings, they do not cross-fuel. You need to add fuel lines leading into the wings, then off of them. Also, if you're using the Dark Drive, it requires Oxi and LF. -

I agree. It's not worth it at this point if the release is stable. -

Jimbodiah, have you tried Kubuntu? I'm in exactly the same boat as you: owned computers ever since I was 8, worked on the technology, then the components since then, and mostly Windows. Kubuntu takes a lot of the guesswork of installing a Linux distro. I highly recommend that you use a secondary hard drive for installation, however, because it is simply the easiest option. Trying to split a hard drive in half, making sure the partition tables were in place for BOTH OS's, and installing Kubuntu all in the same go is very tricky. Another thing you should be aware of is BEFORE YOU GO AND DO IT, MAKE SURE THAT YOU EITHER USE ETHERNET CABLES OR A SUPPORTED WIFI ADAPTER. It is a PITA to have to 'sudo mod make' my drivers every time I log into Kubuntu, and it's why I don't do it often, even if I want to play KSP. And before it is said this is offtopic, no it isn't, it's about helping someone run OPT better, -
It's not out yet.
-
Okay, that second thing I forgot about. :/

JESUS GUYS. It's a beta. A closed beta at that. Why is this such a problem??? You WILL still get 1.1!! This just happens to be a closed beta test that they can't do entirely internally, so they're turning to their customers to help test out. Just because it's not on the store doesn't mean you don't get to have it. Literally all you need to do is convert your store key to a Steam key if you want it so badly.
