  1. I think nova wanted to give terrain scatter a collision model. The only reason why it does not have one right now is because of the lag it would produce.
  2. This might be the most stable plane I've ever built. Yes, I knocked off the tip of a wing and an engine and it still was able to land like a normal plane.
  3. Then why not just place the reactors in old mines that have no use anymore? Cable can't be that expensive.
  4. While I was reading this thread, I was thinking of burying the reactors underground too. If we did that then the dangers of the plant releasing radiation wound probably be much smaller.
  5. He's the Kerbal who inspired the mask during KerbalKon 2012. (Skip to 45:00)
  6. There was a thread before the forum was reset where someone tried to reach light speed. He/she almost did it, but I think the rocket broke randomly at 90% - 99%. Congratulations on reaching light speed, its quite an accomplishment to do that.
  7. I know that other people have been using this model, but it reminds me of something other than a Kerbal. Still don't know what it is though.
  8. I don't know why, but that model reminds me of something... Animation looks good, well except for the part where the Kerbal's hands clip into its shoes.
  9. Me tooo! It's taught me so much about orbital mechanics and reawakened my love for space! Well I guess this proves I'm not alone. I don't plan to study aerospace engineering though.
  10. It depends on the difficulty of the mission. I wing it on simple Kerbin system missions, but plan out how most of the mission will go if its out of the Kerbin system. I'm actually planning a reusable Duna, and possible other planets, modular transportation vehicle. I'll probably post something about it on the weekend when I can finish the rocket designs.
  11. Great, you hit the maximum time that KSP can display.
  12. The Kerbals are actually not as advanced as you think. They don't require food (ATM), its easier to get into orbit around Kerbin (I believe it takes more delta-v to get into orbit around Earth than to get to Jool in KSP), they are immune to radiation, aerodynamics are almost non-existent(ATM), and they have an unlimited budget(Once again, ATM). If real life was applied to KSP, it would be much harder to do anything in KSP, but that will never happen because KSP is designed to be fun.
  13. One of the most hilarious craft I've ever seen. Your next challenge is to make a single touch to surface craft.
  14. What if a planet was spinning at 2 m/s slower than its orbital velocity and 4 m/s slower than escape velocity? Then what would happen?
  15. I will never look at Duna the same way as I used to.
  16. I have the feeling that when Mars is colonized, the rovers and landers will be in a museum.
  17. Hopefully NASA has the budget to do that, Curiosity needs to be saved from isolation.
  18. You've got to love the explosion force.
  19. And lets all hope the community stays this way for a long time.
  20. It probably was, like you said, icons clipping over each other. That was happening with 768x1024, but they were able to fix it. It could be that there was no easy or working fix that could have been used.
