  1. http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-G505s-15-6-Inch-Laptop-Black/dp/B00CRXZUD0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387301145&sr=8-1&keywords=Lenovo+G505s This should work nicely. It's not as pretty, but it's got the power you want.
  2. For ejection seats and a hundred other things they aren't meant for.
  3. Not really, if a gun goes off in a city everyone knows it. It's not the same as computer hacking. my father got fined for killing a possum with his M1 carbine on our back lawn when i was young, and we lived in a redneck 'town' with ~60 people in it. I doubt there will be a large amount of people risking going to jail just for a package that probably isn't what you want. Plus there's the risk of damaging it from the fall and bullet even if it is what you want. People that are crazy enough to steal them will most likely not be shooting them.
  4. Guys, most cities have laws stating that you cannot use any firearm in the city limits. I don't think shooting them down will be a problem unless some nut has a suppressor for his rifle or something. You're forgetting how loud they really are, and how hard it really is to shoot down a moving target with a single bullet. The weather will be more of a problem than that.

Haha, this is cool. What exactly is your goal with this game?
  6. Could we see your Computer specs? You can find most of them on windows by typing "Dxdiag" ( No quotations) in the run box . ( Keyboard shortcut: Windows button+R) As for the price 27 USD would be about 16.50 British Pounds. Maybe a tad more. No matter how Powerful your PC is, it will eventually lag if you have enough parts. Squad will of course improve the speed of the game over time.
  7. Stay hydrated and play video games. Always worked for me.
  8. Some of these indie devs are single man teams and would like to expand and get professionals to do their Music, artwork or other stuff like that, this can't happen if you have a job and a family to take care of. Alpha funding basically allows them to quit their job and focus on the game and that alone. For Indie studios this is the same, they don't have a ton of money to start out with, and they need to promote interest in the game, get people to test for bugs on multiple platforms bugs, and pay the rent while they do this. Large game developers such as EA, Nintendo, or Sony don't need to Alpha fund because they've made so much money on previous games and other markets. I personally love Alpha funded games, i get to see it progress and change with my input sometimes helping change it. Many of these games such as Kerbal space program, Rust, Prison architect, Rimworld ect. Wouldn't exist without alpha funding. Because Major game developers rarely risk stepping out of a highly successful franchise and take a risk doing sometime new, a game like KSP might not happen, or at least not be anywhere near the same.
  9. Honestly i think it's because the US didn't take them seriously, most people here believed that they were a backwards nation that was incapable of going to space. Then when the Soviet Union Launched Sputnik it woke people up to the fact that the Soviets had the technology to launch rockets and get payloads into space. The United states had catching up to do, and i think that's one of the many reasons that the USSR got so many "Firsts" in terms of space travel.
  10. Anywhere between 11AM ( US Central/Mexico city ) And 6PM is my guess based on previous releases. But don't take my word for it, please.
  11. I thought i read somewhere that they were going to be using a simpler version of this.
  12. I don't know what to say, i've never had a stuffed animal. I was always too busy creating nations, waging wars, and basically competing with my brothers in a large sandbox.
  13. I like Squad, and i like the game and what they're doing with it. Therefore i could care less about their internal affairs, or what they think of us, as long as they get everything done at the end of the day.
  14. I don't know enough about it to give you a good opinion. I know the pros and cons of it, but it's much deeper than that. ( Pun not intended )
  15. Caught trying to steal Rocket fuel.
  16. I think this should work: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-PCI-Express-Graphics-GV-N650OC-2GI/dp/B00942TJXY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387071429&sr=8-1&keywords=gigabyte+gtx+650 If anyone could pull out a AMD one that's around this level And has 2GB Vram that'd be great, because i can't find any :/
  17. I think there's another thread in the Science lab that is talking about this, but either way, Congrats China. Maybe we can become better friends in the future and explore space together.
  18. When you really start learning to program, and feel like you're getting ready to make your own game, i'd start making mods for games first. That will give you alot of experience with programming. Roblox uses a form of Lua dubbed RobloxLua, It's got a crap community but the Engine it uses is fairly flexible and easy to program with. - and it's Free Not many games use an engine made with python, Civilization IV uses some python programming, but that's if you want to mod it. It's more of a language that you learn to understand the basic jist of programming because it's so simple to create Gui's and such with it. Minecraft uses java, and it's got a massive modding community. It costs money and is a little harder to mod compared to Roblox or KSP, ( IMO, but i'm no expert ) but there are resources all over the internet that are available to you. As for books i can't recommend any, since I've only read one on how to program with python, that was years ago and i forget the name of it.
  19. Python and Lua are easy to learn. Then i'd step up to Java, C, and C++.
  20. Holy crap, it pays to be a programmer i guess!
  21. I agree spaceflight should receive much more funding, but a manned mission to mars before anything else? As much fun as it is to go to new places and watch us land on new planetary bodies, what would a mars landing accomplish? What would the goals be? The amount of planning that has to go behind this is massive. How will they eat for the duration of their stay? How will they stay healthy on their way there? What do we do if something goes wrong? How will they get back? What if someone vital to the mission is killed? We need to build a lunar base first IMHO. Then a Mars landing, or even a colony would be much more feasible.
  22. Can we please not turn this into a discussion about Firearms and the laws pertaining to them... Thank you.
  23. There's no reason to go to mars with people yet, we have to solve problems down on earth first.
  24. Well, i'm willing to pay. But is there any software that does this? I already have MC, and that's still limited. An ALU would take up several chunks.
