  1. awesome mod, so much immersion in combination with kerbal construction time. Love it, I hope you get a lot of rep for this!
  2. Install realistic construction time and final frontier (don't reload and permadeath) and your choice of other mods. That changes up the game in my experience!
  3. Me too, I also noticed that playing with KCT this mods is a bit too harsh...
  4. for me the chutes are free in career mode. Is this intentional (if so is there an easy way for me to edit the prices of the chutes?) or is my install bugging out on me?
  5. I have a problem: after the first launch after loading from the main menu the launch button stops working for KCT, so I go directly to the launchpad without having to wait for construction. I am using the 64 bit Windows Version of KSP. To fix this I have to got back to the main menu and load my career game again, quicksaving/loading does not fix it. Anyone else got this problem?
  6. Nice read, looking forward to more. One thing though: it's minmus, not minimus and that annoys the crap out of me
  7. It also works if you use Jeffersonflights 24.3 patch for 64 bit (at least it did for me)
  8. First of all thanks to everyone involved for making this mod. Second @ fathed: If a modmaker is frustrated with how squad treats moddevs, then I think it is their right to stop developing their mod (or any other reason that makes the dev stop developing). Yes, that means that someone else will have to start from scratch or the idea behind the mod will never be seen again. See what happend to ISAmapsat. We got a way better mod with Scansat now, why should this not be the case with KAS? It is the moddevs intellectual property whether you like it or not and only the modcreator can decide what happens to their mod. The strong reaction to this mod having an update hiatus only shows how awesome it is and that squad should incorporate something like this in the vanilla game or start giving real credit to modcreators.
  9. you need a pipe end point on both ships and then pull the 'green pipe' from one onto the other... also in the opening post there is a link to the ksp wiki aswell as to the keyboard shortcuts. So shame on you for being lazy and making me post this
  10. Its not Sandbox if you have contracts or science. It would hinder me playing sandbox, because it sets a set of rules upon it. If you want contracts play career. If you are too lazy to unlock anything cheat. But don't turn sandbox into a cheaty career mode. It's called sandbox because you create your own world. If you need contracts to guide you through the game you really should just play career.
  11. this has been suggested a lot in the past, it was how many people imagined the implementation of rovers and I for one still hope it will come, because in my opinion the launching and landing of rovers is very flawed right now...
  12. works for me, just one picture though
  13. First of all, great work Felsmark. Just two questions though: are the planets all scaled correctly towards each other? Aaaaand, can we get bigger pictures? I am thinking desktop background here
  14. Thanks for the nice feedback everyone, I am nearly finished with my bachelors thesis now, but am going on a 2 week vacation this weekend. After that I shall resume drawing brighter colored kerbals! Looking forward to you feedback on those!
  15. dang, never would have thought they had to be that bright! I must admit though, that since I started this thread I have not had the time to play (I know, I haven't touched 0.24 yet), since I am writing my bachelor thesis right now. Thanks for all the feedback, it really is more fun to draw if you know someone looks at the pictures afterwards. And now that I have the official color codes (they are official right, also where can I find those?) the next kerbals shall be colored correctly
  16. you really think? I shall try for the next picture then, but personally I feel the colour is the least of my artistic struggles right now Anyway, thanks for the feedback Gregrox
  17. finally got a new one, the colors are much brighter than they looked when I made this. Also this is my first try at illustrator and I know it's not optimal, so please be gentle with your comments
  18. I'd still prefer it if we would get that kind of info from the devs on the forum (instead of having to search through different social media sites), but oh well, we all know that that will never happen... jupp, that's what that means I think
  19. resource gathering (or would you say they are in the game too) reentry heat (don't think that is planned sadly) payloads (real cargobays) astronaut training and skills lifesupport (not planned either I'm afraid) some sort of automation (like giving rovers orders - not planned afaik) I would like to see these in game. What features are considered to be added until scope completion is reached (again), only Harvester can tell though (and it would be cool if he did) Then there is also the question of what features the dlc will bring us...
  20. and all the best for you damien, I mean it! Live long and prosper
  21. No, 23.5 has not been a full update, it's in the name and devnotes. But apart from that I was merely stating the effect the update might have in the forum not on me. As you can see in my join date I have been around for quite sometime now, so I had plenty of time to adjust to waiting for updates to release. I have been very much looking forward to contracts since the integration of a map into the game. If the current implementation will change the way I play completly remains to be seen however. Still, like I said, I am really looking forward to this release, no matter how it turns out to be.
  22. I agree, but don't necessarily think that is a bad thing... And I don't mean that damien is not a nice person or something like that, but as community manager - not for me (of course this only my opinion and should by no means offend damien, since I am an a*hole and am sure that many people would disagree with me )
  23. I disagree, it's not fun to send them to other planets. I think rover need a major overhaul so they can be better transported (end especially dropped off) on other planets. Once every planet has biomes, they will become more and more usefull though, so I am locking forward to that, espicially if get to set waypoints for them so they can drive on their own while we do other stuff.
  24. lol, if there is an anniversary they sit on a finished version to release it, that's how it has been since they employed actual community managers (so happy dr's reign is over). Still it will be out soon anyway, so everyone relax! The only problem I see is, that apart from contracts (some of them rather weirdly spawning objects in space that should not be there) and two new rcs engines, there seem to be no new features in this update, which makes more than half a year for an update a rather long time and might induce some whining after release...
