  1. I think (and don't quote me on the number) that the Lazor mod extends the limit past 100 km.
  2. Landing a plane on a runway (main one or island). I can take off and fly okay, but landing? I have landed, but on the flat ground of KSC and not the runway.
  3. Does the vehicle need to be manned? If unmanned is allowed, I have the following submission. Unmanned, on land, on Kerbin, stock: 18.5 m/s Imgur Album This is a screenshot at what I think was its fastest while still being a wheel. It appears to have gone faster while destroying itself, but that may have been flight and not a wheel.
  4. Watching the recording, it's a mouse cursor which looks to be sword.
  5. Made a submission for the 3 Planet Challenge.
  6. Finally, I have a submission! Pure stock, Launch mass of 442.38 ton and part count of 153. Ship at Launch Jebediah boldly went alone, to the following. He tried to EVA on Gilly, but was null-spaced, but that is why we quicksave. +5 for Duna system +2 for Ike Landing +4 for Eve system +1 for Gilly Landing +0 for Kerbin system +1 for Minmus Landing +0 for Kerbin Landing ---------------------- Base score: 13 ((kerbals on mission) * 2^(extra celestial bodies)) * (base score calculated above) = ((1) * 2^(1)) * (13) = 26 Imgur Album (Unfortunately, in wrong order and without captioning because Imgur is being annoying) Note: Do I understand the "extra celestial bodies" correctly in thinking that I went to an extra one?
  7. How about "KSP: Deorbiting space stations never looked that good!"
  8. I think this has been sufficiently covered.
  9. This is just my experience, but I made a decently complex 9-Kerbal transport in the SPH, copied the .craft into the VAB folder (without editing the file), and it worked just fine, allowing me to build a launcher. Granted, I didn't try to edit the rover at all in the VAB, but I haven't experienced the problems of others.
  10. @mr_yogurt - The original post has an inconsistency - score is defined as ((kerbals on mission) * 2^(extra celestial bodies)) * (base score calculated above) but the example shows ((3 kerbals) * 1.5^1) * 23.5 = 141. 141 corresponds with the 1.5 being a 2.
  11. I'm taking a stab at this, but I keep having stupid problems hitting shift when I shouldn't, having my finely tuned orbit messed up when reloading my save file, time-warping through Duna... Well, hopefully I'll have something sometime this month.
  12. Well, Minmus looks like a small white dot, even from the surface of Kerbin.
  13. How can anyone have problems? 0.20 is the first version that is actually playable on my home computer (not counting the 0.13.3 demo). Well, it's 8 years old with 1 GB of ram, but still.
  14. The worst part of this Duna mission, I had plenty of fuel so this should NOT have happened. Oh well... Album
  15. Seeing if it will run on my home machine. Hopefully with the memory improvements, it will work.
  16. Here was my first manned trip to Duna which returned to Kerbin: Album. It's a relatively compact package with fuel to spare for my currently rather poor interplanetary transfers. Includes two Kerbals (who both land) and a rover.
  17. Album My raw time is 40:07. I claim the All Stock and >1500m bonuses for a reduction of 25m, resulting in a final time of 15:07. For me, if it comes of the ground, add more downforce. Run out of fuel for your downforce, use more efficient downforce! The only damage I suffered en route was the air intake I landed on at the front.
  18. I finally managed a full manned mission to Duna, with Bob and Jebediah making the journey. I had a lander and a drive section, assembled in orbit. Unfortunately, the last few meters of several thousand is the worst, and this is how I landed: Album I tried to right myself; I'm not sure it helped...
  19. Do I understand right that you made the satellite, then in a separate file built a ship to launch it? Basically, the issue is that the current setup for ship building requires one unalterable command pod (manned or probe) around which the entire ship is built. Either you can take your satellite file and build a launch vehicle underneath it, or use the Subassembly Saver / Loader mod to import your launcher to the satellite file.
  20. Duna's southern ice sheet looks so...pretty...in this light. I was making a drive unit to take a lander to Duna, only I decided to take the drive section straight to Jool. I tried aerobraking at Laythe, but since I was too low and wasn't going to make orbit again, I just gunned it... Album
  21. I don't believe any repeatable causes have been pinned down, but the community calls it nullspace.
  22. Well, since the forums recently had a significant loss, here (again) is my first Duna mission, with a Curiosity-style rover: Album
