  7. That guy is incredibly detailed. He looks reptilian, and until now I didn't even think of considering kerbals reptiles!! one of our designers is making a low poly model for us, for use in game rather than YouTube

  11. We have programmers that can animate him if he was on our team hehe. Are you adding a skeleton and moveable mouth? Were not doing it for YouTube it's a new mod, tho some parts will be showcased on YouTube before releases. (Like SQUAD does it)

The programmer we were hoping to get politely turned down the offer, so that's that's opened up an amazing opportunity for some other lucky soul! Someone with a fair amount of experience scripting with unity, and that can hold their own programming with C# If your interested I'd like to ask for a demonstration scene scripted in unity for our lead programmer to take a look at. We all work full time and are doing this in our spare time to make the game we all love so much just a little bit better, so as long as you have some free time to join in the group conversations on Skype, and can help us out with the coding were looking for you! (The more time the better, but hey, it's a game!) Please reply here, or PM me. Skype will be required, as well as setting up an account on our private dev forum. Thanks in advance!

Need to authorize me for the file, I'll pm you my info for Skype if we can chat tomorrow (both of you) I listed that I'm looking for two, but that's completely dependant on how much time they can put in. Story boarding takes a while for quests that take as long as we're looking at so 4-5 people who are around for a total of like 6 hours each a week to comment and discuss ideas on what the rest of us are going over would be great. As we get farther into this mod we will need more writers and everything else to the point where we will want to slow down again from being over worked lol.
  14. What were looking for specifically is a small team of writers to help flesh out a storyline that's been roughed in, including scene descriptions and a little dialog. As a group we pick a quest to develop then in a series of scenes and chapters we get oir character through the quest to the end location and climax. Then before the modelers can really start we need to pick the specifics for each location and get them a list of what we need.

  18. We've got the plugin, the programmers, the 3d modelers, and a sound guy. What we need now is a couple of people to help with the storyline! I don't want to give many details away unless you are serious about helping the team, so nothing gets leaked before the release. Please PM me here or reply to the thread. Skype is kinda required for most of the communication (text based for now but we will do group calls eventually) we have our own forum we are doing storyboards and the like, those interested can join there as well however won't have access to the dev forum unless they are taken on as part of the team. let me just tell you this;; this is going to change how everyone plays KSP for the better, even if only half of what were up to right now makes it in! edit: this is going to be a full time type gig, not a 1 quest and its done thing. So someone who wants to be a part of something until they don't want to anymore would be great (eventually it'll end but for the foreseeable future were going to put out content packs with more quests regularly)
  19. I'm going to jump in and say probably not. What you could do is model the item as a static object then fly the ship version to the proper location, then deploy the static object. So far you can't interact with them exactly like they were a ship, can't "enter" them or dock to them properly yet but that could be changed
  20. We are waiting to hear back from two people,, a programmer and a sound engineer. Besides that we are pretty much staffed up! until we start putting out content and know how much of a load this will be on the team we don't NEED more people, however if you are interested, we could always use another modeler or artist
  21. We need some more people on our team, developing an addon package using KerbTown. The content is being kept secret except to the few people who apply to be a part of the team. What we are looking for: One 3D modeler with good experience and skill at both modeling and texturing Two modelers or artists that know enough to get by, to help with smaller "prop" type models that will be used as part of the main models by the lead modeler. One Sound engineer, experienced or novice. Many of the objects will be animated and have unique sounds that will need to be sourced or created. This is not a demanding aspect of the development, so having some skill in 3d Modeling and/or texturing would also help. Barring that, just wanting to be helpful with storyboarding can never go wrong I will require a few samples of your work if you would like to apply for the lead modeler there are potentially two or three more positions for people that have played a lot of quest based games or MMO's that will be willing to help with the story-line aspect of development. Programming skills are an asset but even basic knowledge of C# or Unity will get you by to start with. We have a development forum setup as of this morning where most of the work will take place, due to timezone limitations (someone seriously needs to update this whole Day/Night cycle being opposite on the other side of the world... its been irking me for 31 years..) Skype will be another key component Sorry for the "To the point" post, I just got off another 15 hour night shift and am extremely sleep deprived. Just needed to get this posted and out in the public You can either reply here or send me a PM if you are interested. I do want to keep the content we are developing somewhat secret so it gets a better response when it's finally released. That plus I don't want to be one of those guys that promises some awesome mod then gets flamed for months and months while there's no proof of its existence.
  22. Khaos what your saying would work as a fall back, but I like the idea he's got. The Kerbal carries it inside his EVA pack the same way he carries the flag, and its brought out via context menu when needed. No ship required!

I just got a chance to play .21 for the first time this second, and I'm coming across something similar already in the VAB. except its with All the parts. i do have a Lot of mods installed, and im sure some of them are incompatable tho im not sure which ones at this point. edit: yeah something is definitely broken. trying to place some lights bogged my system down and keeps freezing the game. need to remove some stuff i guess.
