    Two things I'm rather proud of: 1. The Intrepid Complex. This was an attempt to use two docked spacecraft for missions beyond kerbin. The main three-stage booster (right of the large docking ports), can boost the spacecraft all the way to dres, and with a kethane base, probably to Jool. The crewed section of the spacecraft contains a failed Orion MPCV replica, and an Odin OTV from NovaPunch. The Odin barely has enough fuel for a Duna landing and return. More pics: 2. Vertical Take Off and Short Landing Supersonic aircraft A VTOSL aircraft capable of using the lazor missiles and landing in a short distance.

    Answering the OP: In the long term, yes. I lay the blame for the massive neglection and de-funding of NASA to congress, and the science-hating western mentality. And the fact the the US spends billions upon trillions of tax dollars on crap it really doesn't need.
