  3. OOOOOOOh I've joined the masterrace and got a picture at the KSP site!
  4. He is saying russia is a nice country so smash glasses on the wall.
  5. WoW, we've beat the 0.24 hype by a margin!
  6. 2 hours ago, Maxmaps tweeted this: So i would expect at least 12 hours till release. Maybe more.
  7. A plane doing stupid stuff in the atmosphere? Otherwise bringing career onward and checking the new game balance out from the beginning. Should go fast as someone with a bit of experience.
  8. Come on, that 'vast number of people' is more like 'some people in a games forum with mostly no game development and business experience'. But this isn't about sending squad a message. They heard you and they have decided, that's it, and no, i'd bet most forumgoers wouldn't want a release delay at this point. Now, while everyone else is looking forward, some maybe a bit anxious, we don't have place for this kind of thread. There is no point because it won't lead to anything positive. Frankly, it sounds petty, indeed almost as if OP is partly wishing for KSP to have early issues to be in the right. We don't even know how stable or unstable 1.0 will be. It would make a lot more sense to make a thread after release, making a small post-mortem about the state of the release, the reactions from the fanbase, as well as reviews. Now it's just negativity for the sake of it, because OP wants to feel negative. Which is dumb. Battlefield 4 needed around 8 months to reach a good state, and it's imo still a flawed, if objectively good, game. The movement system is sluggish in a way that restricts movement, and the weapons are lot less controllable while more stable. I play BF to play BF, those advances are kinda pointless when there is CoD to go to otherwise. BF3 was imo the perfect balance.
  9. It would just remodel the ranking of used engines. There won't ever be some magical engine blowing everything else out of the water. Yeah, maybe an EM drive would do that if we had it now in a sufficiently advanced version. We just don't, and there will be a bunch of alternatives in the future, as well as some unsolvable issue. Take KSP: A nuke does indeed trump everything else in space-travel. However, it doesn't break the game and it isn't the only engine used.
  10. Seems like some people really have to try to spoil the mood.
  11. I'm staring since hours at the maintenance page and it won't budge. :<
  12. You mean https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/ ? Text only for me. Petty class society.
  13. Wiki is apparently hosted together with the KSP-site, and they are currently being moved to a stronger server which might or might not survive the release for more than 2 minutes.
  14. Why do you have a background picture? Mine is text-only.

  16. KSP is not using SI units because it's a game simplifying complex concepts far enough to make it understandable for normal players without the respective scientific background, with the aim of creating a fun game. So it's perfectly logical to use common systems instead of scientific correct ones. Makes the whole thing more intuitive and easier to relate to.
  17. Well, it kinda is: There is always a best thing for a very special purpose, and that purpose can be very specific. Which is similar to the decision making process what part to use in KSP.
  18. It is. There is some incredibly useful stuff, like arrows showing the current lift effect of every part or parts showing their heat-level via tint. Squad didn't yet implement the feature into the actual gameplay. Maxmaps said Delta-V values will come as a engineer-ability at a later date, so i assume the overlays will be similar. Which is, in my opinion, a pretty cool way to go about this, continually giving your more data-tools.
  19. Yep. I did the kethane scan thingy, and despite looking better in concept it was really just pointless waiting time. Even went as far as to optimizes scanner satellites for higher time warp.
