How about unique orbital music for each planet? Each one could have a unique tune like Holst's the planets, have a listen to this tune by Kevin Macleod (who already has many tunes in KSP) and imagine your satellite or space-station orbiting Eve, it would stop playing once you enter Eve's atmosphere, now imagine all the other planets and moons with their own music too! You get the picture, doesn't have to be that specific track attached to each Eve, i am just using it as an example although i personally would love some more Kevin Macleod tracks in KSP regardless of which ones might be chosen. Now at the moment i love the way the space music kicks in and i definitely, DEFINITELY don't want to lose a single track from KSP, so i propose that the new moon or planet specific music plays just once, on approach to the celestial body in question and also when you do a new load of a mission that is in orbit, (satellite/space-station etc, anything as long as it is in orbit,) and after one cycle of the new music, the normal music which we currently have resumes. I'd also just like to say how much i like Kevin Macleod's music and how happy i am to have found out about his work through Kerbal Space program, yet another Kerbal benefit i've gained from. What do you think guys? Just an idea. Edit* I changed the way the new music might be used.

What is the game that you are the exited the most?
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to gmpd2000's topic in The Lounge
It's interesting you say that about GTA Chris, i sort of feel the same, San Andreas was the most fun one for me, i know some people said it was too ridiculous because it had so many wacky things the community wanted, but i thought it was great, it even had some light rpg stuff thrown in there, GTA4 though was a minimalist "i'l tell you how the story goes, what you do and when you do it" kind of affair, as if Rockstar thought in San Andreas they had listened to the community too much. Despite having the most astounding city i've ever seen in a GTA game (every last leaf looked hand-crafted) it had no countryside and no plethora of crazy things to do on the side as San Andreas did, since then i've grown tired of the GTA formula, a short story that is finished in eight hours followed by hundreds of hours driving around aimlessly collecting stuff or trying to find stunt ramps just gets old, and it's not the only series this has happened to me in, i think there's only so many sequels i can take where very little changes. -

I'm looking forward to Monster Hunter on the PC if it ever comes out, Mario Kart for the Wii-U, (i'l have to buy a Wii-U when it's released,) Elite-Dangerous and of course anything Kerbal related, Rome 2 was on that list but i'm not playing it much at the moment, and i haven't got any console that can play the new GTA so i'l have to miss out on that for now. -
I haven't played Kerbal in a little while having been taken up with this game the past week or so and i have to say it's a pleasure to come back to these forums, with regard to Rome 2 i'm pretty disappointed, the campaign map is fun but there's just so much that is bugged or missing altogether, it has the feel of a game that was released six months too early.

What is the earliest news story you remember?
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to Drunkrobot's topic in The Lounge
For me it was the great storm of 1987 in the UK, i was visiting my cousins and it hit, i saw it on TV but i couldn't understand English at the time, the storm needed no translation however, it was a humdinger! -
Would you buy expansion packs for KSP? How much?
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to ngianoplus's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The mind is willing but the wallet is weak, i'd buy anything Kerbal related if i could afford it, i love this game and it's not a jealous love, it's a love i want to share with the world. -
When i first started playing i learnt a few things about escaping kerbin's gravity in a rocket from a Scott Manley video, i watched his tutorial and as a result of that i fly upwards till i reach 10.000 metres then i begin my 90 degree inclination and i don't let my speed exceed 200ms, as that would make me burn more fuel than i needed to, great stuff and very useful. The point i'm trying to make here is that i personally would never have learnt these tips on my own, i'm simply not good enough maths-wise to find that out on my own, and i would absolutely love to know similar information for escaping Duna's gravity, how to do it best, so what if these tips and bits of information were dispensed to the player as a result of them doing research and experiments? Ok so i pretend i'm a new player again, i make my rocket, i have a side option of getting my rocket to a certain distance on my own, and the moment i do Gene Kerman radio's in excitedly offering the above information, says he figured it out as a result of my achievement, that gets put in a notebook for my later perusal, for as a new player no doubt i want to carry on playing around for now, but later once i try to be more professional it will be of great use. These pieces of information could be anything from optimal speed when landing on Eloo to the fuel needed to have a satellite placed around Jool, perhaps even ship designs could be unlocked so you get a feel for what you need to go where, and these nuggets of information would be unlocked when you achieved a science goal, if you managed to get near Jool, you might unlock the Spaceship design that can definitely get there and back. Now of course there would be those who would rather find all this out on their own without the help of a game mechanic, so it could simply be an option that can be turned on or off, or maybe it might only feature in career mode, well that's my idea for today, thank you for reading.

Kerbals: The Ultimate Guide
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to Rainbowtrout's topic in KSP Fan Works
Three feet tall sounds quite big, i always imagined them about a foot tall, not sure why. -
Death did not choose me, I chose my death.

I like it, it is nicely descriptive. -
Anyone else like the smell of Gasoline?
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to ZedNova's topic in The Lounge
When i was a kid my father's van always smelt of petrol, so much so i used to get a headache just being in there, i hate that smell lol. -
Nox Aerospace Mun colonization
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to noxcarakus's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
That Munbase looks really cool, poor Bill though, story mode is going to be tough once it comes along for losing Kerbals. -

I really enjoyed that, wonderful stuff. -
Who's your favourite Kerbal?
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to Brapness's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Bobly and Barbus Kerman are my favourite Kerbonauts, Bobly went to the Mun, had a mishap and had to be rescued by Barbus, i put together a short story out of some pictures and i keep them both as safe as possible, wherever there is a two man mission Bobly and Barbus go together as the good friends they have become. -
Why do people believe in these things?
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to Euracil's topic in The Lounge
A lot of the reason behind normal people being willing to believe or at least consider outlandish conspiracy theories, is that governments around the world have very often been found conspiring against their own people or outside targets, it's a matter of trust, human beings know each other to be liars and manipulators, and as a result many people are willing to believe a conspiracy happened regardless of it's veracity, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you! -
Docking has killed my Kerbal fun
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to ae35unit's topic in KSP1 Discussion
My problem with docking is how much concentration i need and how incredibly time consuming i find it to be, it can take me upwards of an hour to dock with my space-station around Kerbin, and if my original goal was to dock and refuel before leaving for another planet i often find i'm too mentally exhausted to continue there and then, the constant lining up of the ports takes a lot of concentration and is very repetitive, i just log out and leave it for another day, basically docking once is enough to take up an entire Kerbal session for me, i wouldn't want it changed though, i do enjoy it in a strange way, but yeah it's probably the least fun thing for me in the game too. -
Gravity turn to the unknown
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to yourguidepip's topic in KSP Fan Works
I really liked it, it certainly does have that "back in the old days" feel, i too imagined the narrator to have a sort of 50's style news voice. -
My trip to the Air and Space Museum :D
Custard Donut (In Space) replied to bigdad84's topic in The Lounge
Looks like a lot of fun, it's strange seeing the suit, i get a bit of emotion when i do because i think the story of the three astronauts going to the moon is probably one of the very good things we did as a species, it brought a lot of people together who are very often apart. -
Sandwiches (don't keep very well and take up space) --> Microwave-space-meals (keep for longer but take up space) ---> Paste-inna-tube (can take more with you) ---> Super nutrition pills (potent, long-lasting and easy to store.)
