  1. ...Zoo, you've played the equivalent of a Kerbal Grand Strategy(RPs for those who don't follow). Suddenly if something like that becomes official it's evil?
  2. Forza, Halo(including Bungie's), and Age of Empires come to mind immediately as Microsoft games that are terrific.
  3. The company nose dived because they specialized in a genre which died out. Correlation doesn't mean causation. Because there isn't much support for it here? And you posted it on the wrong KSP reddit!
  4. Those two are not mutually exclusive. Cult following isn't good enough to fund a well sized company.
  5. You mean the company that hit hard times because all they really made was 3d platformers which died out, costs of making new games were too high and ended up becoming an in-house developer for Microsoft. The same are releasing a new game this year which looks good and isn't a 3d platformer?
  6. Damn, out of likes. But yes, I would pay so much for a collectors edition of sorts. ^ooooh, QA. That's going to speed things up greatly I'd imagine.
  7. That's plenty. And it's 8. Don't know who the 8th is. I liked it a few days ago.
  8. This is the nicest prank I've ever seen the internet play.
  9. Why stop after 1.3? To prove a point? To spite Squad for making a smart decision?
  10. No worries, sometimes there's a bit of miscommunication and the post I was replying to got spaced out by others. Was worried you missed the context.
  11. You are aware that I'm not serious and simply showing how far @Tykylo's method of thinking outside the box in regards to what will now happen to KSP can be taken. Bringing it to a ridiculous conclusion that's still within the realm of possibility.
  12. Then if you're thinking that way KSP could become part of the borderlands franchise by the end of the year. Expect a shift to an 18 rating by august.
  13. Thinking outside the box is often thinking unrealistically.
  14. Worst case scenario in my mind TT makes the KSP devs add features like autopilot to ease the learning curve and make KSP a bit more accessible to a wider audience. But that's one of the most popular mods out there so it's not like it's against the wishes of the majority.
  15. What existing mod adds a mission builder?
  16. Yes, thank you. People want new stuff but the stuff needs to be paid for somehow and KSP isn't selling like it did before. You can see it on steam.
  17. This? Or this? Because Long-term franchise sounds encouraging.
  18. I'm afraid not. Making history is the first paid DLC. Asteroid Day, The NASA parts, and the Football. Were developer made Mods and the first 2 have been incorporated into stock KSP.
  19. It was free to anyone who bought before April 2013. There was a fuss because they announced they'd be making paid DLC at some point in the future(4 years apparently) so they promised free DLC to those who owned it and bought before the end of that month. And they've kept that promise. Something that can't be said of everyone.
  20. Squad decided to make paid DLC in 2013...
  21. Your point is KSP will be ruined because it will be very successful under TT? Are you some kind of Video Game Hipster? Publishers don't have as much sway over developers as you might think. That's partially my point. Games aren't suddenly ruined because the Publisher changes that in the end lies with the developers, 2K and Rockstar are wildly different developers despite being under the same publisher. This is a good thing.
  22. Please, do go on and on. Because I don't really know what you're talking about. For one KSP had barely any writing so even if that were true does it matter? GTA is shoved down everyone's throats by everyone else. It's sold 80 million copies. About 40 times as many as KSP. Being one of the 5 biggest sellers of all time. That type of game has the air around it of "you haven't played GTAV? Why not, Go buy it" and then they do and pass that on because it's a phenomenal game. I'd choose Shark Cards over Missing content any day. EDIT: The game isn't going to go from KSP to Angry birds overnight although you probably have only been here that long.
  23. Only example I know of is when someone made a Multiplayer Mod for GTAV, competing directly with the company. I don't blame them for the reaction they had. We're talking about the same publisher that owns Civ V, one of the more mod friendly games I've seen. If someone made a mission builder mod I wouldn't blame KSP if they told them to stop.
  24. I see a lot of mixed reactions but I am very happy about this. This is a games company at least and this is a publisher who've created my favorite games. I'm seeing rumors about poor funding further up but is that all that much more than rumors surrounding Squad? After all they've brought Civ, GTA, Bioshock, and modern Xcom into the world. At the least they are definitely not a publisher to push for unnecessary DLC like others.
