  1. How long did the development of Skyrim lasted ? And how many people were involved in the process ? Not really comparing here the two games, but just want to give an idea. 3 years I guess for Skyrim, with a team that was used to make tose kind of games... Can't you just let SQUAD time ?
  2. I understand what you feel. Like you, I've been playing since 0.18. I had so mutch fun in the very first months, just climbing the learning curve of this game ( first orbit, first landing and so on). When I felt I was getting less and less intesting in the game I put a brake on it. The sand-box games have the limits that YOU have after all, and I reached that limit after 6 months of intensive play. 6 months without playing. And I came back with the .23.5 Amazing and exciting, I really love this game, it may be the unique one that gives me so mutch feel of freedom. But I have learn all the ropes (well, maybe not all of them, but really all the essentials ones). I can go so fast now (unlocking all the tech tree in maybe 10 launches) that I get bored in a few weeks, sometimes a few days. I really looking forward to the .24, and even more. I lack objectives in this game (and I'm affraid contracts and budget will not be sufficient, i've played around a bit with Mission Controler, and I still can break the game in a few launches, even on hard mode. Bah, never mind, I'll give another brake and come back, as I did in the past. But, hey, if there was more things to do (were are the ressources, the other planets, scipted missions ?) I'll be playing moar, for sure, erh, I mean, more longer, and still stop eventually.
  3. When I see my post in this thread, on page 2, about one year ago... Maybe I'm not playing too mutch, but too long, that is for sure
  4. My Jeb is in a polar orbit around Duna, with Bill and Bob. He is out of fuel, and I was SHOCKED I could actually fly rockets with an other crew than this team
  5. If your SSTO is just about to fly, adding more wings-control surfaces-struts- fuel will make it TOTALLY unflyable.
  6. I agree with you : I drive rovers during 5 min then give up ! I think what I need is a purpose to drive !
  7. True, Minmus definitively could be a giant peanut covered of wasabi !
  8. The Orion project is quite old indeed. I don't recall the exact numbers but I recall that the ISP of this monster was AWSOME ! Just something to get to the other stars !
  9. With the sr docking port added in the 0.20, I pratically only use the Mk2 lander can. I got rid of all the others, building multi-parts ships that are massively compatible. What about you ?
  10. If ever other stars are implemented, see the point 12 of this thread. I gess we will travel to those other stars with FTL. I'm sad about it but seems the way the dev's are thinking right now.
  11. A web-site, jeuvideo.com, tested the 0.17 version and when I saw that game I brought it in the very second after !
  12. I'm using a 160t launcher stock-parts made to put 4 orange tankers in LKO... 465 parts, it hurts my CG. Back in the 0.18, with the empty-tank technique I made a space station made of 14 orange tanks...
  13. I don't get the point myself. I've got too bad English to answer the question, but I think we got here a nice philosophical subject... Is it the structure of the actual games ? You can't have nowdays a game without some achievements, success, something that congrats the player, that puts him in a hierarchy. Is it the society ? Always be performant, be classified and so on ? See, I've got 125 sucess for the Lambda game, I'm the 12598th in the world classment ! The difficulty in this game, talking about hierarchy and so on, is that THERE IS NO CLASSEMENT, no sucess, no score, no nothing. We want to be the first, the only one, the best. And we merely can't. We have to figure out to find auto-satisfaction by our achievements. And then, when we get the satisfaction to accomplish something that we find great (put a mega orbital station into Laythe's orbit) we can see that someone did the same thing with [insert here your loved/hated addons]. And that's breaking the satisfaction we need. Is that why it is important to know why some are cheating or not ? To restaure our own satisfaction ?
  14. Yes, in Europe, we had the worse winter seen from a long time, and we are experiencing a quite bad spring... 3 sunny days in March, maybe 6 in April... And the rest is cloudy, cold and rainy... Therfore, the best to do is stay in front of a screen to play KSP I gess !
  15. Indeed, when you have the "Chase" cam, you enter a mode where your ship is the reference. Therefore, you can hit the WSAD (and/or the IKJLHN) buttons and no longer be lost !
  16. Actually MJ is quite accurate. As I recall, I was yelling at it at first times : "why do you start the burn now ? Can't you see it's a 5min burn, and you start at 7min ?" And then noticed the estimate time have changed.
  17. Just to salute this author that have let us yesterday. I love his books, all the Culture cycle is so awsome ! This man was one of my favourite authors, I'm going to miss him, really
  18. That's exactly my thought. If you delay yourself in first point with multiple things, you'll miss quite a lot of things. Focus first on what the game brings you. Then only watch somewere else. It's a sandbox game, and by the way you are free to do what you want, but when I see some post (like few days before) : "I need to go to Mün with MJ, how can I do ?" I can't help thinking that this person is far away to undersand what he is doing, and feel sad for him/her.
  19. Er... Actually someone did go Duna and back with only SRB... Here
  20. 512 : having a new realese every single day, with new content, new parts, bug free. 513 : if really impossible, OK, I will have every two days, I'm not that impatient !
  21. I landed sucessfully on Laythe. Hope I have enough D-V to reach orbit again...
  22. Hard to explain this one : in french, rocket and smaking sounds nearly the same (rocket = fusée (read fu-zai), smacking = fessée (read fai-sai)). So told this evening my 4 old son "If you're not quiet I give you a rocket" (si tu n'es pas sage je te donne une fusée)... He looked at me kinda wierd, and laught. KSP is ruining my parental authority
