  3. I'm pretty sure that they don't count as a part. Only one of the two pieces of a strut actually counts as a part, the other is just there.

  7. Yep, career mode hasn't been added yet. Don't worry though, the game gets regular updates so it shouldn't be too far away.
  8. You need to go the tracking station and click on the flight you want to return Kerbals from once it has landed on Kerbin. Then you can click the recover button to get the Kerbals back. Oh, and welcome to the forums!
  9. I picked a random Kerbal who I though had a good name, and Rorim Astronautics Research and Technology was born.
  10. Xenon tanks actually don't make a huge difference. The main thing that causes acceleration to be low is solar panels. I think the main trick in getting an ion powered probe to have reasonable acceleration would be finding a perfect combination of solar panels so that you could run the probe at full power without adding much mass.
  11. My entry: It isn't very pretty, but it's easy to use and has a ton of DV. Hope you liked it!
  12. It should have enough thrust, but you'll still need to build a massive rocket to have enough DV to get off of Eve, unless you set the ISP to something really high.

  14. I recommend crew manifest, mechjeb, kerbal alarm clock, damned robotics, KSPX, and kerbal attachment system for some really useful parts and other things that let you do a lot more with the game that you should be able to do already.
  15. Yeah, but there's no guarantee that there will be any Kethane there. On the Mun, almost every deposit can be reached and landed at easily. As for making the trip more economical, I recommend using the nuclear engines. They provide more than enough thrust to land on the Mun and have a great ISP. They should increase the amount of fuel you can get from the surface into orbit.
  16. So absolutely no mods? Not even mods like KSPX or Crew Manifest? I don't even really consider those mods because they're just the kind of thing the game should and will probably have.
  17. Somewhat random, but I think a Sedna like planet in KSP would be cool. It has a very weird orbit.
  18. This is great! I love the reasoning behind the names. It sounds very Kerbal.
  19. I like the sound of this. Kerbin shouldn't be a desolate planet with one tiny patch of life. Good luck with this!
  20. Well it would be massive if drawn to scale, and the planets would be tiny.
  21. It would be better to match planes before leaving Kerbin, but this is usually impossible as your descending or ascending node would have to match up perfectly with where Kerbin is in its orbit around the sun.
  22. Oh yeah, no problems there. Let me just go grab my warp drive and 150 million ton block of oxygen and I'll get right on this.
  23. This is a hard thing to average, since I've built ships with 20k Delta V for large scale interplanetary travel and ships with just 6 or 7k Delta V for smaller Mun missions.
  24. I assume you mean retrograde, so that would be a 180 degree inclination.
