  1. 1) what moment made you say: "I have to buy this"? when I played the demo 2) How hard was it to really get going? Not too hard. you can set your own goals. If your first objective is to land kerbals on the moon you wont have fun 3) Setting up space stations and bases by what I read seem a real challenge, are they? The amount of mass in a station or base launch makes it more difficult to make efficient launch vehicles, that coupled with docking or precision landing makes them more of a challenge 4) when exiting the planets atmosphere should you go at a angle to get a semi circle orbit? sort of. Eventually you'll need to raise the periapsis the atmosphere 5) Is it possible to make an actual "spaceship"? i.e can enter/exit orbits and have interplanetary travel. Search grand tour 6) general tips? rendezvous: down is forward up is backward backward is down forward is up
  2. I used to use mechjeb for almost everything. Now i only use it for the information readouts, calculating launch windows, initial approach for docking and launching refueling tanks to the station.
  3. The great majority of the texts are fine. The reaction wheels are the only ones I've noticed any weirdness about, and that's only the new description
  4. You need each part to have a least a probe core in order to control it. Though once it's attached you can discard it.
  5. Speak for yourself. I'd love to be able to send a lab probe to do soils analysis, then have "R&D" call and and say "we've developed a way to bring back soil samples for a 'more complete analysis'" way I see it I would be almost like a tech tree irl.
  6. More work on the planets and moons clouds, weather, more variety in ground features, tides, soil and atmosphere composition, i'd say resources but I don't relly care if they are usable, I want to know what ****s made of
  7. Id really like them to do more with the planets we have now. mineral sample, atmospheric analysis, interesting terrain(kerbbain?) features, clouds, underwater features (and exploration), TIDES! we must have tides! I'd love to find life, I know the devs said no aliens but hoping they were thinking "little green men" not "bacteria living in hot springs". I'd like a Blue gas giant, and it looks like lots of others do too.
  8. what if it's not actually purple but the atmosphere absorbs higher wavelength light.
  9. It's not salt it's fuel from all the probes I've crashed into it.
  10. I would be okay with the game itself. I've got my money's worth. I wouldn't be happy with them throwing out the stuff they've been working on, but I'm sure modders would
  11. might i recommend procedural fairings? It's similar to KW but you dont need to build the fairings, they're generated automatically. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/procedural-fairings/ http://youtu.be/UADznLqWaUw?t=2m14s
  12. If it's a booster stage: I put those little solid rockets on it pointing retrograde along with a parachute, when the tank runs out the rockets fire and the chutes arm at the same time as the decoupler goes off, then the whole thing is deorbited and "recovered"(deleted in the atmosphere) If it's a interplanetary stage: It gets decoupled on a collision course with the planet if it's a one way trip or it's deorbited and recovered at Kerbin. That's assuming it's a one use thing and not a reusable module that can be docked to the refueling station. It's all fun and games till someone loses a kerbal
  13. Hmm, If you're already high up and moving fast does that mean it takes less energy to get into orbit?
  14. Don't overlook the possibility of stuff kicked up by some asteroid impact on earth. Some microbes can lie dormant essentially forever
  15. Anyone care to calculate how high a resolution you'd need for duna to be visible?
  16. I prefer to fly using a joystick and getting everything set the way I like it was a chore. I'd prefer not to have to do it again. Is it possible to transfer the joystick settings to 0.20.1? (from 0.19.1 ) If so which cfg file would I need to move and is there anything i would need to change?
  17. The best I can tell the fastest way to scan is to place the probe in a circular polar orbit at the minimum altitude you can get without hitting the atmosphere or mountains. Other then that it's all patience.
