Gemini Kerbal Style. -
Been awhile since I forgot to put chutes on a pod. Now landing wheels from my shuttle, lets just say the MK3 cockpit can take a beating.
-
I ended up using one or the other as my primary part pack, along with bits and pieces from the other. I love the 5m parts from NovaPunch and I love the look of KW, especially that SPS engine. Looks perfect on my Apollo like SM. So neither is really better then the other. Just a choice of looks.

Thats why I recommend instead of having to wait on the rockets to be built, one has to wait on the parts to arrive from the manufacturer. Add in a budget system, this will add a more "space program" feel to the game. Like you put in an order for 5 mainsails for your mission to Duna, but they will not arrive till 2 weeks after the window. So instead of using those 5 mainsails, you use what you already have in inventory to complete your mission. Or because of a budget cut back because of the failure of your mun mission, you can't even afford to order those newly researched Mainsails and are once again forced to use cheaper parts or what you already have at hand. Also, weren't we always talking about Career mode? Sandbox shouldn't have any restrictions.
-
They could always implement something similar to what BARIS had. In that you have to order the parts each season. But BARIS was turn based. In KSP you can have delivery take a certain amount of days or weeks that the player could easily warp past. But this would also implement a set of strategy to missions. Like if a rescue mission needed to be launched quickly, the player would have to use what parts they had available, instead of those fancy newly researched Mainsails that Rockman is schedule to deliver next week.

Why I should never be left alone and bored on a three day weekend. <iframe class="imgur-album" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" src="http://imgur.com/a/qxRfD/embed"></iframe> Using KAS and Hull Camera, I was able to rig up a first person view for EVA, which resulted in the last 4 pictures. Next up is Landing and Mun walk. -

What did you name your first rocket?

Magic. Which considering I have been playing since 17.0, there has been a lot of Magic I, II, III and so on. -
What do you think the Mystery goo really is ?
Camelotking524 replied to ouion's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Kerbals = Humans Goo = Apes and other primates. So the Goo is the same was when we use to send monkeys and other animals into space. Now we just have to watch out for KETG (Kerbals for the ethical treatment of Goo) -
Yeah and the Dynasoar was suppose to be the transport for personal to the base, if I remember correctly. Glad I wasn't imagining things.

I remember reading something about the Dyna-Soar moon landing somewhere. I cant seem to find it on google. So maybe I am imagining things.

Best Action/Hilarious Scenes You've Produced
Camelotking524 replied to Pengwertle's topic in KSP1 Discussion
My first two man lander was designed with a science module that would decouple when the lander docked with the command module for return. Problem was the lander was just under the delta v requirement to make munar orbit. Jeb's and Bill's plan? Decouple the science module and hope that the decrease in weight would give them the delta v needed. This failed because the decoupler failed to remove the module from the top of the lander. Jeb's solution? An Eva pack assisted shoulder charge to the now decoupled science module . After getting the height, Jeb slams into the science module , sending it toppling off of the lander can. After that, the lander barely made a very lopsided orbit, and Bob came to pick them up. -

I love my Cross Rocket. Payload is an Apollo style CM/SM and LM. Third stage has more then enough power after making orbit to put the payload into either a Mun or Minmus intercept. Now for the fun part. Apollo style Eve flyby. Too bad this launch was how I found out that you can't transfer reports and samples between command pods. Stock parts are not bad at all. -
.22 playtesting being waylaid by mods?
Camelotking524 replied to jpkerman's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I like the fact we don't start with a probe. It fits with the theme of the game that you start with manned mission with Jeb being crazy enough the ride the first thing that the Kerbal Engineers came up with. That being said, this is just the toe tip in the water of career mode, I can't wait to see how else the game will evolve. -
What I like: Career mode is wonderful and I can see the direction they are heading How the entire KSP starts with Jeb and the bare minimum. Science is fun and adds another purpose to your missions. Going back full stock with no mods is a lot more enjoyable then I thought it would be. What I don't like Not having enough time to play. I still hate the maneuver node system. Very hard to get precision with the current setup. Doing DeltaV calculations. Doing phase angles the hard way. As you can see most of the things I don't like are not the fault of the devs. I very much enjoy the new update and having science gives me more stuff to do and another reason to go revisit all the bodies in the Kerbol system. Otherwise, my basic complaints are the same. I still believe that a system to give us more information such as deltaV and phase angles should be built into the game. But there are mods for that. Also like a visual of the Goo. Just a static picture that would show when you review the data. Like it in a brittle ball or happy (How do you make Goo look happy?)
