Hi, You mean the Serious SOI is now 'NOT' beyond Sentar?? Where is the fix? PF works in Science mode with bugs meaning you have to replace a previously created Science Tree each time; a minor issue there as the node lines dissappear; it will work this way until the game memory craps out which for me so far is a good long hour to almost 2 hours (memory issues are mostly number of parts, mods etc; PF itself is about 48 megs and otherwise seems to work nice)... I need to find this BLOG and update ! Cdr Zeta

Hello, I have had troubles working on my launchers so I will be workin on those...I will probly send out more Science missions on Kerbin now that I have the large Science can... Hello, Awesome MOD ! I am using it in Career mode so far so good... Not sure if it has been suggested...build a small base on an asteroid...parts must included certain stock parts??? Or have a record of certain parts landed on a particular size asteroid?? Cdr Zeta -
Hello, I added costs to Science about 1/3 higher than normal; use Achievements, Ribbons, Career mode and quicksave only if the game bugs out...this is actually my first real game missions-wise tho I have played sandbox about a year on and off so I was ready to start 'for real' - IE Kerbals can die and get lost now no more missions simulations for me !!! Just in time this patch came out so I was pretty excited...its about time for me !! Cdr Zeta

Disabling is easy - dont track them and they will go away? Also, I use Planet Factory and altho it isnt the best, Serious is a SUN and all future asteroids go away and dont bother anything; I just park them in an orbit of my choosing to make challenges with hyperedit; not as the game is intended. I fought with Serious in PF to get the patch to work; fails so I gave up as they just end up orbiting Serious; but now I will have a pool of roids to take from... Cdr Zeta

Hi, Planet Factory doesnt work in Career mode; it causes the game to reset the science to Stock for one; and the asteroids and future asteroids get caught in Serious orbit no matter what I have tried; I have given up on it as I want to play the game finally... Now I do have PF installed however and am making it work ! I collected a bunch of asteroids in the beginning and just set them in orbit in various ways around the various bodies of the solar system; there is an ownage issue, but I seem to be keeping the ones around Kerbin...I just dont do anything with Serious/Joker at all now its just a waste of time; any future asteroids will orbit Serious no matter what; if I need any to mess with I just grab one from the pool I created at the start of this fiasco....we defintely CANNOT have another sun with high gravity in any system. As far as the Science - yes it does work but you have to save a previous tree; hope it holds together which so far mine have; save the Science you get until the end of the mission; add whatever Science you want to the tree; save the tree in a seperate folder as a previous save-tree; that way you can overwrite the stock tree that is created when the mission ends!!! Hello, So I send Serious out to pasture...that and 80 some asteroids along with it and 6 hours worth of satellite deployment work down the tubes.... I am backtracking again tonite to get PF to work in Science mode...the stream may be good for a laff if anything ya never know. Cdr Zeta -
Hello, I am trying one more final attempt to get PF to work with Science Career mode tonite; I may have lost 6 hours more or less of work trying to get satellites up cause I neglected to check their status. I think maybe 1 gadzillion on the velocity is too much; I dont know what is a 'SAFE' number as the Traxking Station is crashing the game so I am gonna try to get a good number for an escape velocity... As for crashing; it detects orbits on the fly - thus crash boom... Greetings, Planet Factory fix is finally figured out...I ran up about 80 days of time to generate asteroids for tracking; on game/mission start SUN Serious pops back wanting to mess it up...Luckily heres the solution... Save game in a folder...get Serious/Joker out of system with Hyperedit - must be done at EACH GAME START (not mission start)...this then also messes up the Science node lines. Do the changes in MAP mode not in Tracking Station... Back out of game...replace mission with previous backed up one which may not have the previous-previous Science backup; then restore the prev-prev Scioence backup. When collecting Science, wait to spend it in the working mission; assure Science node lines are ok; save Science Tree to a folder; dont add any Science during the mission; add Science at the end when yer ready; check it twice; then save the mission in a new folder...then yer ready ! Greetings, Yes indeed...the SUN Serious is now gone thanks to Hyperedit...a simple velocity change to 1gazillion and out she went - along with the Joker too... Tonite we land on the poles to get Science then make for MUN?!... Cdr Zeta -
Greetings, It seems as though we now have the capabilities to monitor various close encounter asteroids; we have catalogued over 50 of these asteroids ranging from 5 to several meters in diameter; in fact we now have 2 of them on a collision course with Kerbin... I, Cdr Zeta, have informed the KSC that there seems to be glitches in the new software; some of the NEAs have already seemingly collided with Kerbin; we have developed seismic technologies for recording the impacts; however we have yet to train any of our estute spave engineers to take on the task of this project. Perhaps tonite we can gleen some clues as to what is going on with our Science teams...will they ever get it right...!? I have good faith in our Space Engineers...watch them live in action on the Cdr_zeta streams...if yer lucky ! Cdr Zeta

Hello, I will do a troubleshooting test with Planet Factory - I increase Serious/Joker velocities to get them out of the system at every game start...I think...its a mess but it works - I think... The first group of vanilla game asteroids I set them in orbits around other bodies. The rest should appear in their correct orbits we will see today ... Else I am running Science missions on Kerbin... Cdr Zeta -
Hello, The modder needs to ercompile and get rid of and not have HIGH GRAVITY bodies like suns in the mod or it will fail the new asteroid production not to orbit the sun. Use hyperedit to increase velocities to 1000000000000000000000 on both Joker and Serious to get them out of the system; may have to do this on every game start as it doesnt save with the mission; only the inherant game mechnics; this even still interfered with new aseroid production and it took a few tries to go from vanilla game save to modded to get it to work. My next stream will show the continuing process and I will test the theory again... Cdr Zeta

Working in Career: I have these mods installed Acheivements toolbar boulder texture compress engr redux - not sure graphotron - not sure hyperedit kotysoft mechjeb2 mission controller nasamission final fonrtier planet factory ********** precise node remote tech 2 romfarer lazor scansat resource transfer panet station science kuargs???? tree edit warp plugin All of these have been tested singularly to work to some extent and not break the game; Planet factory - Works as follows: Use hyperedit to add 10000000000000000 velocity to Serious and Joker to get them out of the system; this may have to be done even after a mission is completed and the game is restarted; I have yet to verify new asteroid production is not interfered with...this is the first thing that must be checked on game start...if they can get rid of STARS with HIGH GRAVITY in this mod it will not affect new asteroid production. cdr zeta -

Greetings, I will need to drop a note on the forum about Planet Factory...anyways I managed to get rid os Serious and Joker in the system using Hyperedit; then I stuck the reamining asteroids around some other planets and moons...it looks like the new ones will appear as they are supposed to...ending up near Kerbin at some point later in the missions...what a job it was to figure this out...2 days and notes on this - it still breaks science - no archives and the tree node lines die sometimes - I simply replace it with the master tree I made for my Career Mode and give myself the Science back with Mission Controller, which I now dont use except later for the repair cans maybe... I am finally playing the game - finally!! Greetings, KSP V23.5 is now up - this will be the first runs using the new systems...REAL missions are up and running...saved game continues as there wasnt much anways... Science Career Mode Tree is updated for the new parts... Let's find an asteroid? Maybe so but it will be awhile before we can grab one...quite a few 100's of science in fact...thus is the career of the Kerbal Space Engineer ... Hello, I had alot of problems in early game versions; used it in v23 and seems to work great. I use it to setup some simulations for MOD part testing - basic tests to see that the parts work to whatever point I know about them. Then I play the game and learn the rest; its a very good MOD to learn things from at a quicker pace. I leave it out of the real missions. Cdr Zeta

Hello, I am in somewhat of agreement however I myself had made my own Science tree (for example); I set the rates going up a tad logarithmicly and I am talking hundres of science; it is pretty crazy in stock the amount you need, but adding modded parts, more resources to gather, life support - the mods are what is making this game; while vanilla is nice, it is the mods that make it seem realistic... I am not even sure but I think Remote Tech tech forces relay satellites; first time I saw it on the map I was in awe - kool stuff goin on. I know I know the DEVS should be doing this; and honestly I dont know how the modders do it; but that is what is making the Science Career game for me now... Now if we can only get 64bit Unity or they use a different engine to make this game... Cdr Zeta
