Hey guys. Ive been working on this for a while now but i think its now time to post it. I have made a fully stock Mars Constellation. Everything is 100% stock however some sections are about 2100 parts at launch so I suggest you use mechjeb just to launch it of the ground. Once in space it wont have as many when the sections are docked together. I don't have many picture since I'm still testing everything but I promise I'll later on post more pictures and a video. Aerobraking Jeb enjoying the view before going in capsule to transport him to the lander. The launchers are from ethan829 on this thread Here and here are some albums of the landers being tested on kerbin however they have had some minor changes. How to get everything to Duna? 1. To get everything to Duna you would have to do a regular burn from kerbin to Duna. 2. You have to go for a direct aerobrake on Dumas atmosphere at 12.5km out. 3. The MTV and the Hab Lander would then circularize their orbit at 44 km circular orbit. The Cargo lander would get it's periapsis down to 10 km to make a perfect landing. 4. Later on the the Hab Lander would only burn 10.5 m/s retrograde from the 44 km orbit. This is the perfect landing sceneario because you would be left with a little bit of fuel on your de orbiting engines to slow you down by another 11 m/s before deploying parachutes and activating landing engines. Oh ok but is there a link for that WIP or not yet. It would just come in handy for me when I decide to make huge fairings on my rockets. I think my computer can handle it cause I've built a 2260 part rocket before, however I had to launch with mechjeb because each game second was a real life 2 min. Red robin, I suggest that instead of making the whole skin out of the small structural panels, you should leave the first, second and third stage domes like they are right now and on the rest of the skin, make it out of the larger panels. It would look less round but it will lower the part count a lot. -

Thanks. I would have to try kerbcam then. I have lazor camera and it sucks that it can't be full screen and when I record it, it comes out blurry. I would have loved if kerbcam had tracking as well but can't do anything about it. Thanks for the help though. -

This same thing happens to me. I have a six part craft but in the middle of flight, either the parts separate every where and explode or when the boosters separate the main tank explodes for no reason. In the first situation I added over 48 struts between the all of the parts but they still seperate. Also the second situation always happens if the first one dosent happen first. When I don't use any welded parts the booster seperate how there supposed to and nothing happens but when I weld a booster and/or the main tank, they explode when they seperate. When I click F3, it says that it was a structural failure but it only happens with welded parts. Anybody now how to solve this? -

Hey guys. I saw that somebody else might be having this issue as well. I downloaded the dll Locu posted and the 'Weld it' button dosent show. I put the file in the Plugin folder as well as in the Gamedata folder. I only have like 4 full mods (Procedural Fairings, TacFuel Balancer and Mechjeb 1.9 and 2.1) and only the cockpits from B9. could any of this be affecting the mod. edit. Forget it. Just figured it out. Had to download the official version of this mod and just replace the dll that locu posted. I'm so stupid. -

Hey guys. Just wanted to show what Ive been working on for the Constellation Mars. Here I made another lander but this one is the cargo lander which contains a rover and the MAV (Mars Ascent Vehicle). I'm still trying to figure out some bugs but this is what I have so far. Thanks. I haven't properly launched it yet though. What I did to do the test was that I used the infinite fuel to go straight up till 75 km and then turned of infinite fuel and landed how it's supposed to do on duna. I'm still trying to figure out how to lower its part count. It's right now about 340. It's also pretty heavy but I will be able to lower its mass once I upgrade to 0.23 (it has too much delta V but it needs those tanks to make its shape). So when upgrade to 0.23, I'll take some unneeded fuel. -

Oh my god just tried the Ares V out and it worked perfectly. It has a very high part count though so i had to fly it for 30 min till orbit since it was so laggy. I'll try to later on make it with a lower part count. Also I'll try making the Mars mission these couple of days. Hopefully I finish by the end of December. Thank you so much for this craft. I'll report any bugs if I find any but for now it's perfect. -

It's like SLS right now. They already have a definite block I version but the block IA would use a more advanced booster. However there still debating whether to use a more advanced and efficient solid rocket booster or a liquid fueled booster. The liquid fueled would most likely be powered by two F-1 engines per booster. -

Yes that is true but it was the most recent proposal and the least detailed. The one before had five engines and is way more specific in its details. Also the six engine proposal was made to carry more mass however the five engine would be more efficient. Also the five engine proposal is the most known. -
