  1. Could you have the trim on at any point? If I recall properly, the trim remains on after quick saves and loads. If the trim is enabled, then the craft will spin no matter whether you have ASAS on or off. Reset trim by pressing Alt + x
  2. I know it is boring playing stock, but my point is to keep a stock account to entertain yourself with. Plus playing stock tests your skill as a designer and pilot too!
  3. The you should create a stock account where everything is stock so you can play on new versions of KSP right after downloading it.
  4. Guys, what's the most efficient way to install a fuel depot on the Mun and keep it filled without too much docking and still be able to refuel many crafts from there? Edit: the fuel depot should be in orbit.
  5. SDIR

    Moon Base

Just a question: How do you guys standardize the height of the vehicles so that they can all refuel landed vehicles?
  6. Dock with a fuel depot in an elliptical orbit as fast as you can and then refill it to full.
  7. I think I have around 45 flights. About 19 probes on and around various bodies, 3 space stations, at least 4 tugs and 5 refuelling vehicles, and the rest is just unknown. And boolybooly, you probably brought the vehicle toward the base too fast or the base was extremely large.
  8. You'll have to send smaller refuellers to dock with the fuel station to top it up every now and then.
  9. KSP is so awesome mostly because of all of the helpful people on board. And it's not an easy game either, which makes co-operating even more vital.
  10. You say Scott Manley launch a capsule like a space elevator right? Try making a new account on Ksp and see if you can modify the save file there, since there will be no other crafts.
  11. Thanks very much. It will be very nice if rcs is added.
  12. Multiplayer will certainly be difficult to achieve in ksp simply because of its time warp feature. But, the possibilities are endless. You will have plenty of fun in single player. And even if you get bored of that, chances are that you will participate in forums, post youtube videos and even contract for others building ksp space craft.
  13. OMG I love you guys. Thank you sooooo much! I'll take all of them to Laythe. I'll post images if I get around to it. lump, RCS is not a necessity (I have a tug or I can use another rocket to dock it) and has to have at least one kerbal in a cockpit of some sort. Seats are fine, as long as it has docking ports in two locations. And Nao, I will be launching it tomorrow onto my tug to Laythe, should have no problem getting there. I just want to know if it can land with 90% fuel load?
  14. I know this is not part of the challenge, but, I am in need of a very small 3 man ssto for my space station, hopefully under 15 tonnes, no mods. Can anybody help me?
  15. Also make sure you are using the same size docking ports for both craft. But again, we need a screen shot to confirm
  16. It's too bad things don't work like that in real life. But sometimes simplicity is really the best option.
  17. You can try double clicking another ship in the map mode. Usually it takes a few tries for me to select the ship and not another orbit, as sometimes KSP thinks I want to set another ship as a target.
  18. I usually go to extreme lengths to make sure my debris going only into a sub-orbital trajectory. If it stays, I usually disable it, although now that I have learned docking I might add docking ports to parts and re-enter them with a trash collector.
  19. I tend to quick save after most of my maneuvers, as they tend to be hard to correct. But I very rarely have to quick load. It all depends on your playing style and how much time you've put into it.
  20. A flag on both Mun and Minmus. And re-establish my refueling network.
  21. If you want a fast cheap computer you should learn to assemble one yourself then optimise it for gameplay. That way you can get the most out of every buck. And yeah, it should be a desktop.
  22. Wow. I've never actually used slingshots to that extent. They've always been more of a pain in the ass when I want to go into orbit around Duna or something.
  23. Another way is to have a single jet engine and two rockets. That way, if the jet flames out, then there will be no spin.
  24. I still remember my first rocket...it escaped Kerbin infuence on the first launch.
