  1. My max so far is 70 tons to LKO, and that is still not large enough sometimes. I'd be interested in seeing this new lifter.

  3. Crew Transfer Vehicle, designed to take up to four Kerbals from a space station around Kerbin and back, intended as a rescue vehicle. Uses small rockets when nearing the ground to soften the landing of the capsule

  7. You'll want to check out the tutorials section here. Covers a lot of the basics of orbital mechanics. Struts are your friend. If something is wobbling, add some struts to it stop it. And learn gravity turning to launch loads. It will allow you to lift much more than going straight up. And don't be afraid to fail. Just keep going, the learning curve is extremely steep. If all else fails, then go watch some youtube videos such as HOC gaming or scott manley and copy some of their designs. That's all I can say for now. Welcome to the game!
  8. I think "heavy duty lift vehicle" is a VERY big understatement here. Extreme Heavy Lifter is more like it.
  9. I think it's very nice. It fits the theme well, although in terms of appearance it looks more like the old carrier with interceptors (sc1). The only thing you need now is a swarm host. Hope you're up for it!
  10. To be honest, the video is pretty bad. But, it does have the same outline as a TIE Interceptor and does look quite nice, even if it is dark. The only thing needed now is a TIE Defender.
  11. Try putting you RCS thrusters near or at the center of mass of your craft.
  12. So far as I know, you can't actually create new Kerbal names, only change their names to something else.

  14. Not if you have no more than 3 pairs. Anymore, then yes, but asparagas is much more efficient, even though it is a bit unrealistic in real life.
  15. Solid fuel is nice for small craft. Get any larger and you need too many of them. And about the topic on asparagas, I find that even if you don't use asparagas or crossfeeding liquids get you higher.

  17. I'm currently trying to build a Mun base, but I can't seem to get the hang of moving modules precisely. I specifically placed my hab area 3km from the main base/ landing area but still I am unable to land close to my target (it's just a flag). Does anybody have any ideas on how to hop closer to a target?
  18. Try approaching your base at under 10 m/s. It seems the bug can be avoided that way.
  19. All building a space station is is a lot of docking. But try to have an image of what it might look like in the end so you can plan out how things are going to work.
  20. I have a question. Does anybody have tips on how to land accurately? So far most of my landings have been within 3km of my target which is fine, but any tips on how to get closer after touching down without using too much RCS? Like, within 200 m or so?
  21. My god, you either are a total genious, or have the most time in the world. I'd never have the motivation to pull any of this off, hell, I'm having trouble assembling my Mun Base!
  22. I must say, very nice. I only was able to learn docking when Mechjeb 2 came out and basically taught me how to dock.
  23. To address the problem about fuel, if you are willing to install some mods, refuelling will be easy. First install the Kethane mod to start mining for resources. Then install the KAS mod for easy refuelling (only needs to attach a cable to refuel). That's my current system so far.
  24. True. We should be happy for just being able to be able to play such an amazing game. And there's always the Kethane mod (if it ever gets updated before 0.21 comes out)
