I know it's a bit late right now but couldn't you have had modules with Cans on top then connecting tubes below so the extra docking port tube would not be necessary for them to get around? Nice base though just a bit too part heavy for me at the moment. -
A suggestion for the left over science points could be that you could spend them on parts already unlocked to improve the main aspect of an engine Ie for mainsail you would improve thrust whereas for nuke it would be efficiency, fuel tanks could become stronger, solar panels more productive ect. Just a though.

If you are worried about high costs perhaps try looking into some space-X style launches whereby each stage can be controlled individually and brought down to land safely on their own for recovery. -

Instead of using game spawned space stations for deliveries why not use ones that have been placed in orbit by the player? The same could go for the surface bases too. -
You should get some funds back so long as your booster has enough parachutes to land safely and doesn't experience reentry heat or land on a mountain. Those parts wouldn't just vanish normally (excluding reentry) and you do deserve a bit if you put in money to recover them. To those of you who land your boosters vertically; Why? Putting parachutes on just one side would allow you to land horizontally with a lower center of mass and less chance of tipping over. A safe landing may not be a unlikely as some believe.

The sheer numbers of crafts that you have posted are slightly overwhelming . The modular SSTOs were interesting but did you ever use them for any purpose? Ie. removing the jet and rockets in place of a single nerva then going interplanetary before rendezvousing again and reverting to normal SSTO functions of were they just for testing purposes? -

Did you even need the parachute? That boat has so many wing parts it looks like it could float down like a feather or even fly like a plane with the jets if you wanted it to. -
I have a pretty good safety rating for my rockets because I use probe control for launching the more dubious ones, and most of my planes tend to fare quite well too. However when it comes to making vtol jets I think around 40 of my brave kerbal test pilots have crashed and burned in individual accidents in these death traps alone.

Can we have a screen shot of it carrying a cargo? Looks nice even still, probably would be good for landings in the wild with the high ground clearance. -

I once let my brother play Ksp to try and rescue some crew members stranded on minmus, he got there fine and was proceeding with the crew transfer when one of the kerbals tripped. Many people will have had their kerbals trip and fall, however not many will have had their space craft catapulted out of the system. The rescue spacecraft was sent on a course into deep space and it took all of the fuel to slow it into a stable orbit. I still haven't been able to rescue them;.;. -

I've got two here- Going in hot: -
The render with the mun is very nice and I like the blur effect but I feel that some of the textures especially the munar surface could do with a bit of work. Maybe you could add a normal texture to it to add some depth or include a few rocks to make the surface more interesting. Is this all created from scratch? All in all though very nice.

Perhaps this effect could be used on probes where KSC is not in direct control over a spacecraft but must rely on remote control. This would provide some realism and another advantage of using a manned spaceship. -
The SRB fuel tanks could work. But only in a certain way (ie. no fuel lines or cross-feed) so you could extend or shorten the length of your booster as you desired with a nozzle at the bottom and then fuel plugs on top.
