  1. What are you people doing?! YOU DON'T NEED TOOLS! Each craft has a specific mode. To change it, open the files that look like notepads with notepad (irony) where it says file type SPH, change it to VAB. Easy! Then transfer your craft over to the file named VAB!
  2. When your ever pondering why the rocket is tumbling over the horizon and not in space, think about real life! Take for example, the rocket above. It isn't really designed as a rocket. Its a slap together of rocket parts (as much as that sounds close to normal kerbal rockets) That doesn't work. Think logically, use initiative (not plans dug up from some dudes who build them) for example, you'd want tail fins on the 1st stage, not the second, You'd want a smaller but powerful engine for a smaller sized rocket (because the rocket loses mass after separation) etc, etc. For making it go up, you don't have to do much. Advanced SAS installed on your craft will steer you to your direction (Toggle with T)
  3. That's pretty cool... and rings alarm bells as to what happened to the crew I left for 110 days
  4. Corona Crater, Jerlin's Ridge - Primary Crew 1st Trip [Exp. Juno] Tomtrey and Jerlin, Primary Crew, on their first drive with the new rover AND first Trip. They observed several rocks near the landing site: Rover Trials complete, first observations underway Tomtrey, Geo-scientist of the mission, he studies the rocks age and how it got there Map of the Trip A little card home would be nice... Jerlin and co stop to observe a rising sun. Images are sent to KSC from the rover to KSC via the Lander then the CSM Higher up the ridge - Jerlin ponders on the location's name: Jerlin: "I don't know what it is - a ridge to a flat bottomed crater would suggest that the land was mountainous, yet there are few hills apart from this one" Tomtrey: "What are you rambling about man?!" "What should we call it?" "What should you call it you mean? I don't know Jerlin, think of something" Jerlin ponders, Tomtrey drives on Jerlin: "Beautiful... tranquil and calm" Tomtrey stops talking to KSC "thought of a name?" "Myself..." "Yourself... yourself ridge?!" "No! Jerlin ridge" "Y'know, it kinda has a ring to it... we'll stick with that" Tomtrey taps his helmet, then acknowledges some conversation from KSC. He then continues the ascent Tomtrey: "Smile..." Jerlin: "Its flipping mesmerizing" " Really..." Drifts over to Jerlin "It is a breath taker.... come on" Jerlin and Tomtrey with the rover and Flag Tomtrey and Jerlin continue traveling across Jerlin's Ridge towards SESEOR Mun-Base Glints of the White panels of the base can be seen. Tomtrey and Jerlin can now see their new home [Exp. Juno] - 1st Trip: Complete
  5. ^^^ I agree, been watching this for a while, nice progress! Very good effort, much better than me
  6. Touchdown Primary Crew, Expedition 1 [Exp. Juno] Jerlin & Tomtrey steered the L6 lander "Corona" to a plateau on the surface of the Mun! Exciting news indeed! The Crater the landed next to, "Corona Crater" is about 12.5 Km in diameter. You can see the Base postion; A small darkened area on the northern tip of Corona Crater, a plateau between some another crater ridge. Jerlin Dismounts his craft and prepares the rover for Exp. Juno
  7. Up, Up and.... Away? As the 2nd Stage lifts the rocket away, ground crew begin trajectory assessments: Green for now. The ascent stage has done its job and is discarded after its final elliptical orbit burn for the next orbit TMI burn window The CSM, small but powerful fires up its engines and propels the explorers to the Mun Transfer of Crew to LM, orbital inclination burn and deceleration result with the lander un-docking, prepared for landing Coming over the Ridge to the crater that is adjacent to the SESEOR Mun-base's location 5000 Meters, preparing for Descent
  8. Its a go for launch Primary Expedition Team : Tomtrey, Newbree & Flt Cm Jerlin - Expedition 1 [Exp. Juno] A intrepid crew of scientists are on platform here today at KSC! The First true Kerbalnaut Expeditionary members will be taking off from the KSC launchpad! Its a go for launch.... Newbree, Tomtrey and Jerlin are onboard this enormous craft T-5..... 4...... 3.... 2...... 1...... Ignition Liftoff!
  9. Good news and bad news: After roaming around the craters of the sub equatorial plateau, the sun dipped behind a cliff and temporarily took away light and power. Unable to steer, or see, the Arka probe valiantly flung itself over the crater it was studying. Out of control, the Arka probe careered into a dip and subsequently broke up into many pieces which in turn made a wonderful fireworks display Here are some images of the liftoff to arrival:
  10. I'm impressed with the fact that he's actually got past the Mun unlike some... Very well done
  11. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get some images of the work... yet. I did this today because it turned out I was far to busy on the weekend The Rover, Arka, 80% solar powered touched down a fair distance from the base. Still in control, KSC handed over control to the base team which began tests to make sure it was in good condition. Test completed, the Arka was left to charge and for a new area to explore
  12. Those are realyl cool, keep them up!
  13. That is totally cool! I like it too
  14. http://i.imgur.com/NInKBxq.jpgThat is soooooo cool zzz! Looks so real! Plus how did you get them to dock all together?
  15. I admire your usage of mod(s), especially the folding rover! Might use it myself
  16. Such little activity! Hey guys, I'm back, no I'm not dead and this thread is still alive, there will be posts this weekend i promise
  17. This is really interesting bsallis! I haven't got to anywhere apart from the mun and duna yet so this is really interesting!
