  1. I've made my own little repository of parts modded to suit for desired size parameters. How about the ability to do this on the fly within the SPH/VAB or a WYSIWYG external application that can be used to make a new part with the desired scale change along with appropriate scalar changes to other part parameters.
  2. I fear the day that mods like KW and NP stop working because of lack of updates will be the day that KSP looses a lot of players. This is not pointing a finger of blame and spite at those people who contribute, I am very thankful for what they do and am relieved to see my mods still work with every new patch. That being said, I hope that Squad takes the modding community into consideration with every next patch as (permanently) breaking a popular mod may cause people to give up on KSP.
  3. Just rebuilt KSP. 100% clean... these parts are now missing their textures. What did I break?
  4. SAS on and off on the shuttle. Certainly NOT on on some little truss assembly. I have caps lock on for slow movement, I have tried the keep it moving approach but as soon as the item being transferred moves any appreciable distance away from the CG of the shuttle it all goes pear shaped. I'm thinking its lots of docking rings and mules to assemble it all in space.
  5. Moderator, please move this thread as appropriate. I have searched but am unable to find a specific thread related to the matter... ... Anyhow. Space arms, specifically the one on the Buran shuttle. I cannot utilize them at all for fear of ripping my shuttle to pieces. Any time I move anything remotely out of the cargo bay, oscillation starts up and builds to the point of destruction. It makes no difference how small the attached part is, once I start lifting it clear of the bay, all hell breaks loose. I am using the slow movement toggle. What am I doing wrong? This issue makes an otherwise very cool addon completely useless.
  6. Frustrating.... I really wanted to pick apart your Apollo stuff. Trying to get an effective launch vehicle/lander combo that will send a rover somewhere up there. I use work like yours as inspiration as I tend to be quite dry in my designs.
  7. Maro, I notice your signature includes many mods/plugins but my understanding is that this is "stock" stuff. Is that not the case? Is there some mod you are using to build the pack that I must have?
  8. Not sure what the issue is but I have some incompatibilities with the 0.20 version of this download..... Apollo LLRV Saturn V - Apollo 11 Ssaturn V - Apollo 17 Titan II - GLV Gemini Titan IIIE - Viking 1 Zenit - Phobos Grunt All simply state "incompatible with this version of KSP". I am using whatever is the latest update via Steam. Is there something I need to change?

  10. Anyone else getting killed by launch stability enahncers? My ship(s) start shedding these intermittently about 1 minute into flight? It like they materialize in position as if I were still on the launch pad. They are quickly left behind but not after doing damage if they strike anything. Ive been trying to snap a screen shot but I am not of ninja like reflexes. By the time I hit esc, they are too far away to visually ID.... but they are plain as day when they first appear.
  11. Catullus, All good here from inventory standpoint. Tallinu, your mod to the KWR service propulsion unit has a typo... 0.1 instead of 1.0. Otherwise no issues found. I was plunging into the cfg's for all components when I saw your post. I guess you have faster fingers than I when it comes to typing/cutting/pasting.
  12. Solved!!!! I have the programming skill of a monkey (... strangely the logo for Squad.... hmmmm) but I can read configs and make changes with the best of them. Here's the rub... Go into any .cfg associated with fairings and add scale = 1 // --- asset parameters ---mesh = model.mu rescaleFactor = 1.875 scale = 1 There are 18 part.cfg files to scrub. 1m base wall and fairing 1m expanded base wall and fairing 2m base wall and fairing 2m expanded base wall and fairing 3m base wall and fairing 3m expanded base wall and fairing

  14. Did fairings go boink with the new verion? Previous assemblies are ok but anything made from scratch is all misaligned.
  15. Sorry for asking a dumb question.... but are any of these assembleable (sp?) in orbit or are clamp-o-tron rings necessary?
