  1. Weather/Fog/Atmosphere/Re-entry effects/mechanics, OR proper sounds (while driving rover, depending on surface, wind, different sounds for different engines, metal crackling under big G-forces, etc.), OR economy mechanics/budget constrains introduced to career mode.
  2. Ahhh - got 'Too many heap sections' error while trying to access tracking station. Not enough RAM?
  3. Thanks. It varies - I'm mostly using royalty free music from Kevin McLeod (Incompetech.com).
  4. That's awesome. Voiceover and title screen are spot on.
  5. Almost out of kerbal "1970s", with robotic Triton Program completed: 1 - Eve satelite, and Gilly flyby 2 - Eve landing and Gilly landing 3 - Duna satelite, and Ike landing 4 - Equatorial Duna landing (success) and Polar landing (failure, probe destroyed by G-forces when parachutes deployed) 5 - Jool flyby, and Sun escape .
  6. @UbioZur - worked, many thanks for the hint I am in the middle of huge campaign for the purposes of let's play series, and thankfully I can transfer my sandbox game to continue it with about half tech-tree completed.
  7. I had 'zig-zaggy' projected trajectory prior to entering Gilly's sphere of influence few days back, in 0.21.
  8. No problems with FRAPS here, even though I'm using an ancient computer to play and record.
  9. And yet another program completed: 'Prometheus' Program: 1 - Skylab style space station 2 - Munar Mobile Laboratory mission, ended with fatal accident at the 'Canion of Death' 3 - Rescue mission of MOLAB kerbonauts 4 - Manned mission to Minmus
  10. Yep - Kerb Cam is an awesome tool. Still learning how to use it, but for purposes of such videos it's a must.
  11. Don't let the thumbnail fool you, this video has no commentary. Just filmed footage, music, and a few sounds. After fatal accident of MOLAB rover, during Apollo style mission, Jeb and Bill were assumed dead, and lone pilot on the orbit returned to Kerbin. Crash happened in Grand Munar Canion, some 40 miles away from the lander. But are they really dead? Enjoy:
  12. Awesome. How did you manage to get such nice and smooth shots? Camera panning in post production?
  13. Another program completed, and Kerbal media technology progressed to the equivalent of poor quality 70s TV 'Ulisses' Program: 1 - Minmus impact probe, via gravity assist from Mun 2 - Duna impact probe 3 - Moho impact probe, via gravity assist from Eve
  14. Currently at the top #36 most played on Steam. Not bad.
  15. I've flew to Eve today (using it's gravity assist to get to Moho's orbit) simply by using this for planning: http://ksp.olex.biz/ Just wait for proper planetary alligment shown by calculator and plan your maneuver.
  16. Good point. I've landed in one of those huge canions, and well - it was not as awe inspiring as in previous versions. Now, if only devs could combine this new realistic look with these pronounced terrain features...
  17. Terrain is indeed more rugged. Up close, you will see nice rolling hills and new 'sandy dunes' texture on the ground. Places like canions and craters do not stick out of place like before - there's nice fluid transition. Atmosphere radiates some light at night, making terrain faintly glowing dark red. Huge improvement - it looks vastly more realistic. Same thing was done on Eve and Moho.
  18. For interplanetary missions. Using Mun for Minmus transfer, or Joolian moons within Joolian subsystem is perfectly reasonable.
  19. Regularnie tu zaglądam (tj.-na anglojęzyczne forum) .
  20. Checked save from my let's play series. Luckily, all satelites, flags, debris and rovers on the Mun are still there (although landscape of these spots changed dramatically).
  21. To be frank, graphics are pretty bad compared to modern high budget titles (from texture quality to lighting and resulting renders), and sound effects are almost non existant (there's 16 of them if you look into 'sounds' folder). KSP still has a long way to go in those fields.
  22. If you're Polish speaker, you might want to check this video, in which I'm sending probe to Minmus with gravity assist of Mun . Maneuver planning from 9:10 onwards.Basically I've waited with launch for optimal alligment of Mun and Minmus for Mun->Minmus transfer using this: http://ksp.olex.biz/. It would be much more difficult with inter-planetary assists if you want to hit target in the 'first shot', since Kerbin, planet A and planet B would have to be in a very specific alligment. If you don't mind waiting, orbiting few times, then it is possible. I've made Kerbin->Moho transfer with gravity assist from Eve that way, that saved me some fule as opposed to direct transfer. (as can be seen here http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/38196-Using-gravity-of-Eve-to-get-to-Moho-easier?p=486916&viewfull=1#post486916)
  23. When it comes to amount of fuel, engines, etc. I'm relying on intuition and experience. But when it comes to interplanetary transfers, I use this:http://ksp.olex.biz/
