  1. Artyom isn't "everyone", and he has been doing this for years, mate. It's quite literally what he works with.
  2. They're not "kerbal" because Artyom specifically made them not to be. Like he said in his blog, they're skilled engineers. The new KSC is beautiful, you're not allowed to have any other opinion on that. Even if the models aren't as optimized as they could be, they're still a lot more so than the old buildings. You would get more lag with the old buildings than with the new ones, that's a simple fact. If you're lagging, it's not because of Artyom's work.
  3. Decided to give this a try. I can't decode it (my mic seriously sucks that much), but the encoding seems to have been successful. Let me know if it doesn't work, kay? https://www.dropbox.com/s/g98b8vu85js5nmq/Capture_32f98c0.wav
  4. Artyom's use of SketchUp has nothing to do with your performance issues.
  5. 8/10, bread and fish in one single dish. Genius!
  6. Don't be too sure about that, von Braun was far from the only rocket scientist. It would have been a setback for the space race, but both the US and the Soviet Union had more scientists than just von Braun and Korolev. You overestimate the importance of select individuals, when it always was a group effort. It would have set the US back, but they would have figured out the German designs either way.
  7. I've fallen down the same set of stairs four times, three of them resulted in broken bones. I was running in a forest for some exercise once, tripped on a root and nearly shattered a leg. Still have metal in me from that one. Broke a rib during sex once, put a rather abrupt end to that. There's also the time I visited Spain and got very sick for the duration of the trip.
  8. It was probably for the best that von Braun wasn't an option. The man employed slave labour and would order the guards to execute labourers that "underperformed".
  9. 7/10 Too small to really see what it is, but it looks like a rocket, and rockets are cool.
  10. Write a plugin to make it kill your crews when it approaches Jool.
  11. It's only against the law if you directly use assets from the game itself.
  12. As a matter of fact, yes. The post above me celebrated victory with a tease. What you did was an outright attack out of spite for losing. Quite the difference between the two if you ask me. No thank you on the water though, I've got orange juice instead, and I prefer the flavour. I dare say we play more of it than you.
  13. No need to try and start a fight just because your favoured choice didn't win, Specula. Such behaviour would be quite childish, don't you agree?
  14. What error messages do you receive when you try to install them, then?
  15. What? Seriously? Did you even bother to read Mr. Zuev's developer blog?Neil and Buzz aren't what I voted for, but they are a damn sight better than what could have been. Nice poll everyone, always interesting when there's a tight battle between two choices at the end. So which rover will be Neil, and which one will be Buzz?
  16. Good point. Perhaps only activate the mouse controls while pressing Alt, or locking the camera to the same button.
  17. After having played Take On Mars for a while, I find myself in love with the mouse controls for the robotic arm. Basically, by moving the mouse in control mode, you can control the robotic arm in two axis. I believe this could be a superb addition for docking mode, or precision RCS in general. My idea therefore is to have the mouse able to control attitude while in docking mode, freeing up WASD for translation controls, and leaving RCS a lot more intuitive to use.
  18. Soviet Lunar Programme. Start off with simple Mun flyby probes, perform a soft landing with a probe, deposit a rover, and finish it all off with the manned landing the real Soviet Union never got around to.
  19. You don't need a list of games that work without .NET and Visual C++, you just need to install those two framework suites.
  20. Afraid not. Artyom's devblog was a big step in the right direction, but the lelsokerbal people aren't going to listen to it.
