  1. Here's my newest Apollo-alike. It's a fully functioning 'mini' Saturn 5 with single kerbal LM. I have after seeing Mulbins new Saturn 5, decided to try giving the Ibeams a go as fairings. She still needs a little work doing but shes already capable of Mun return. MJ
  2. It must be that time of the year. Ive been working on a small Saturn 5 and Lm for a while now. Its not 'Pico' small, around 450 parts right now. I'm looking forward to seeing yours Gus. Near completion? MJ
  3. WOW! Its enormous! Who made the little one? I cant tell if its using mods of the textures are just set low.. MJ
  4. The next engine up in size would be too big for Mulbins new lander. There would be no space for the fuel or the rover. MJ
  5. Very nice design Teo. Can we see the launcher you used for these craft? MJ
  6. The strut legs are quite strong. The feet are not strong. They feel (to me) fragile in a real way. The stock part landing legs (big ones) are really super strong. Unrealistically so. Its just adds a bit of fun into what has become routine to some. MJ
  7. Its possible but tough as hell. I recommend learning to dock first. Its easier than launching a one stage Eve return vehicle!
  8. Great idea! Its perfect for that. You can design new haulage for the tanker too! Like this: MJ
  9. Anyone flown this? Played with the tanker? I HIGHLY recommend you do. Its a fantastic SSTO and perfect refuel truck. Fly missions back to back! MJ
  10. Everyone plays the game differently so its just a misunderstanding. Thanks for the comment Jamie. I'm still tweaking it. And check out Capt Snugglers SSTO and refuel truck. Its very kewl.
  11. Here it is folks: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/x3-mk5-stratopigeon/
  12. No. not yet anyway. And, yeah. It is a two stage lander. The two man can detaches and is the ascent stage.
  13. I have tried girders, they look terrible. Its just wrong to have what looks like a steel girder on a Mun lander. I should make this clear, the lander is a concept and is more of an exercise in aesthetics than anything else. I have landed it dozens of times with nothing breaking off or being damaged. Weight is not an issue as she is capable of a powered decent and ascent of the Mun. Its much more of a challenge using these legs. Not impossible, it just focuses you during those final few meters. MJ
  14. Hi all, Just wanted to show off my new two stage lander. I wanted to try and design my own landing struts for this one and I'm chuffed with the results! Munar descent You will notice that the 'foot' sinks a little on the surface Which is fixed by flipping the part, shown here on an earlier model These legs are nowhere near as forgiving as the stock legs. but if you can land under 5ms then its all good. Thanks for looking. MJ
  15. Hi all, I'm not sure if this has been seen before but here goes. You can attach docking ports directly to a parachute. like this: It can be quite tricky to align the docking port correctly, but do it a few times and its easy. MJ
  16. Ok mate, no problem. Its quite a simple lander, but very effective when teamed with a decent launch vehicle. I will upload the lander and post a link here as soon as I can. MJ
  17. Hi Caelib, I thought I had updated this page. Its off Spaceport as I discovered some problems with the craft that I missed. Ive been meaning to update this but to be honest I forgot. Did you want just the lander or a launch vehicle too? MJ
  18. On its own, it doesn't flex much. by adding an I beam to one of them it flexes quite nicely.
