  1. I noticed that I got those corrupt save since i use the SPH and I transfer some aircraft in the VAB.....
  2. Thank's that's exactly what I was looking for. and you do you reset trim to neutral?
  3. Is there any means to trim aircraft when flying in the atmosphere? With fuel consumption the center of gravity moves relative to the center of lift. On real plane you balance your plane with a trim so as you have no effort to make on the flight control, the same way you trim when you add power because your aircraft noses up and nose down as well when your lower to iddle. It's no so hard to arrange your plane so that the CG does not move when you make an airplane just for atmospheric flights, but if you make an orbital plane, adding 2 or 3 rockets, it's not the same thing. You don't use 2 or 3 T of fuel before landing, but 10 to 15 and the way the CG moves can leave the plane very hard to pilot in the lower atmosphere as there is no triming function.
  4. Well, I have not charged any more mods. Everything was running perfectly since months with my modes. I just design a new aircraft in SPH and duplicate it in VAB to load it on a rocket. I made many versions of this plane. Maybe it something about it....
  5. Hi Have you ever experience this on 23.5 ? Just beginning the game and after loading an an aircraft it's impossible to select the icons in the upper menu. none of them is selectable, even the Quit menu that is brilliant and seems selectable. You can select, your ship or the part in the column, but they don't appear in the SPH/VAB. I can play with RCS, DA and And Engineer redux, that's all.... Any idea, what's happening ? I restart the game many times and it's still happening always happen after the second loading !!!
  6. Maybe, in the preset, you could give the choice for the range at which the windows appears automatically when a ship is targeted? If you offer a preset from 0,2 to 2,3 kms that everybody can choose, may be it would be more comfortable
  7. You're right. What would be great would be just having an add on to plot a point on the surface and that would just give distance and heading to that point, then the system would update these 2 parameters along your path. That's all we need. knowing the fuel flow of your plane at different altitude and power setting, the fuel on board, you're then able to know your range.
  8. Map view is not accurate at all. You cannot point any position on it. what i would like is to pint a position and see what heading to go there, like in aviation nav
  9. Well, thanks for your answer, what I am looking for is something simple: Pointing a place on the map and it gives me the heading to go there as it could keep my departure location and gives me the heading to fly back. The best idea is to zoom or dezoom the cam. Themap mode it is no accurate at all.
  10. Hello Is there any means for low altitude navigation with aircraft.? When you fly in the atmosphere, is there any add on allowing you to see your position on a map, for example after having scanned the whole planet? Or the only means is to make it visually?
  11. Goal is to design a lander, including Lab, for more convenience, able to land with no chutes, make science and collect all datas, reset experiments, and make rendez vous with a refueling ship in order to land 3 times on 3 different sites. Once it's over, the Lander will be sent to Kerbin where only the Lab and the capsule will land using chutes. I design a lander of 88T able of 5200DV, with 4 1440L rockomax fuel tank. Here is the Lander The refueling ship will have a main KW Rocketry tank, the biggest one, 10935L, that will allow 2 complete refueling. I add cross with 8 700L rockomax fuel tank (2 times 4 tanks) docked on each other. The idea is to dock those tanks at the back of the lander so that they will give it additional DV for de-orbiting and landing maneuver and we can land with one of those tank dock underneath. I use TAC fuel balancer to manage them and optimize fuel so that I get maximum DV on take off. Launch of Refuelling Ship, 4710T. On the top is a small ship that will be send on 600km orbit, just for warp use, when rendez vous between Refuelling ship and lander on 90 km orbit. On course to Jool Jool interception: A first 115km periapsis and a second one at 130km, then 2 135km periapsis allows a 22500km apoapsis to intercept LAYTHE with minimum DV use Laythe interception First periapsis at 25km gives an 800-900 km apoapsis, then a 30km periapsis give a 190km apoapsis, with minimum DV use View of Jool from Laythe orbit Burning to establish a 100km orbit Now we launch the Laythe Lander. He sits on a top of 4 each other docked 720L rockomax fuel tanks. total weight is 4883T We are establishing a 600km orbit that is easier to warp for Jool departure. Burning to Jool Jool orbit Jool first periapsis at 117 km Interception of Laythe, with no use of DV Lander establishing Laythe periapsis view of Jool and Laythe Jool rise on Laythe from the Lander Mainship Lander is undocked from the mainship. I only took 2 additional tanks from the mainship Entering atmosphere, experiments in progress Retroburning, still having my 2 additional tanks Near ground, the lowest tank has been dumped EVA from my verbal Kerbal is collecting and proceeding to experiments Gathering experiments in the lab Take off to join the refueling ship Maneuver for rendez vous View of both ship Approach with docking port alignement indicator Contact Refuelling To be followed
  12. I don't see anymore the ladders deployed in the VAB when I build a ship. I do not understand what happened and what I did wrong.... I must launch and deployed outside to see what they look like.... Any idea how to fix that? Thank you
  13. Still no information with my FTmN nuclear rockets. My protractor indicates TMR 0 when I use them in KSP 0.23.5
  14. Let me know when you 'll design one lander able for take off
  15. Thank you. Not obvious to get 10500DV with a 1.55 TWR to escape from Eve. 129T for 10500DV, I don't think it so much weight and I'd like what combination of engines and tanks to do better.....
  16. Hi The pod on the rescue ship comes from this first mission:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74221-The-Rescue-of-Maldous-Kerman I had a lot of stories with my flight to Eve and 2 kerbals were stuck there because I had some difficulties to design a rescue ship with enough DV for take off from 4200m. The fairing is just an option. I decided to take a lot of DV for these 2 trips to Eve, more than necessary, just to be able to do the job without having to dock for refueling whatever could happened during the flight, so I took the fairing (It's just 2T compared to the 4500T on take off) and I used it in the first mission during the descent through Eve atmosphere. During the second Mission I did the same thing and I got a problem when dropping it, the right part got stuck in the ship, while the other part was dropping, so I had to revert to a quick save and I decided to drop it in Eve orbit.
  17. Launch of the return ship. Lot of DV to launch at an orbit of 600km to get best warp possibility. Still climbing 64000m Around Eve, fairing jettison In Eve atmosphere Landing site at 4180m and we are 6500m above Opening parachutes: 108m/s 2600m: lower stage ejected and gears deployed: 178T and 67m/s Chutes fully deployed 4,1m/s under 500m Over the ship where Kerbal is waiting: This ship has only got 10000DV and is unable to join an orbit Kerbal is leaving his ship to join the rescue ship Under the Rescue ship Climbing to the top to embark Departure: Jettissoning 50T of gear and chute: 129T to take off Firing rocket engines: It's only Vesta VR-1 from KW Rocketry Airborne Climbing: altitude 5600m 13000m 27000m In orbit the Rendez will be performed by the Return mothership because we have no Monoprop on the rescue ship: I forgot to cut RCS during descent to Eve!!! One other rescue ship is docked on the mothership Approach Orbiting earth after interplanetary return Undocking both MK& Lander Can in Kerbin atmosphere First return Second return
  18. Excellent job! How many parachutes did you use to land such a weight without using fuel?
  19. I built a 10500dv rescue ship that allowed take off to join a 90km orbit from 4200m See here:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74221-The-Rescue-of-Maldous-Kerman Take off TWR around 1.6
  20. Thank's, that's what I did with the persistent.sfs and now it works. I really copy paste Ships and subassemblies from my save folder: KSP 0.23>saves>career>Ships and same for subassemblies, but I cab't see them.
  21. Not for me. Whatever I did with the persistent.sfs, after having copy paste my backup folder subassemblies, and SPH and VAB with their ship, I can't see any subassembly nor any ship in 0.23.5 I only see my science, tech, and ship that are in space, not those I can load in the VAB
  22. Many thanks Otis. I only modify the persistent.sfs I did what Kobymaru said. It works but I can't get back my subassembly folder and my VAB and SPH folders with all my ships I copy them and past them in the default career folder I created on 0.23.5. I have all my sciences and tech from O.23. I got also all my vessels that are outside in space, but nothing to load in the VAB and SPH and no subassembly folder
  23. I tried this advise to run KSP 0.23.5 and keep all what I have done in my career on 0.23, but it does not work, or there is something i do not understand and I did wrong I understood I have to the strings "version = 0.23.0" to "version = 0.23.5" on my backup Save>persistent.sfs. What about my backup Save>quicksave.sfs ? Then, do you mean you copy paste these lines from you new career save >persistent.sfs to your 0.23 backup career> quicksave.sfs or to your 0.23 backup career>persistent.sfs In my save folder I have 2 files: persistent.sfs and quick save.sfs. Do i need to modify both ? I f I modify one, what do I do with the other ? And what about these line at the end just before "ROSTER" ? They are not on the 0.23 persistent.sfs and quicksave.sfs } DISCOVERY { state = 1 lastObservedTime = 0.02 lifetime = 1717762.28027344 refTime = 1728000 size = 2 } FLIGHTPLAN { } CTRLSTATE { If we change our backup in "version = 0.23.5, don't we have to copy those lines too?
  24. Hello this is not very clear: I understood I have to the strings "version = 0.23.0" to "version = 0.23.5" on my backup Save>persistent.sfs. What about my backup Save>quicksave.sfs ?
