Well, you know, Kerbal physics and all. Besides, the craft gets destroyed at about -200 meters, not sea level. At lease you wouldn't have glitched craft.

Apparently, Jupiter has an atmosphere of hydrogen/helium and is completely covered in an ocean of liquid hydrogen/helium. My idea was to us this and instead of a non-existant surface covering Jool, there could be a giant ocean completely covering it. This would allow for an actual Jool base to happen.

The BiPlane is an all-around, general purpose airplane designed for stability and ease of flight. It has a decorative, non-functional propeller on the nose and is powered by a clipped jet engine in the tail. It is extremely stable and can fly upside down for extended periods of time, but is difficult to land due to it's tail-dragger landing gear configuration. I found after a tower-buzzing accident that it can fly stable with 1/3 of the wings missing. Due to that accident, all BiPlanes are equipped standard with a ballistics parachute, activated by staging. It is also a very good transporter, being able to fly stable with 10 tons of rocket fuel strapped to the wings.
