You can double-click on the windows of the aircraft you're talking about to change the camera. It helps a lot, but you can definitely fly with instruments only using these planes. Out of curiosity, what is the COMOffset doing? I've read your mentions of it several times in reference to reducing the frequency of autocombusting flight surfaces, but what's it relieving? Is this a Gas-ex for wings?

I can get the parts to load, but the Mk2 chassis is not correctly sized. From what I can tell, the pod parts are their correct size (based on the 1m node on the back of the crew module), but the chassis itself doesn't seems like, 75% of it's original size.

Possible bug or "unintended feature." Using the right-click menu (I don't have AGs set up to test this), if you have 'light' or 'interval' selected, and then click 'flash' while the light is on, the flash period is "reversed" for the light. Example, the strobe stays on most of the time, then briefly flashes off. Tested as well on the blue nav-light, but not on other lights. I suspect they'll do the same.

Possibly Bug: Lazor Cam, with a camera opened, if I go into Map, it shows what I see on the map (!) instead of what the craft sees, so the camera can't be used to fly while in Map mode.

That doesn't do anything for me. Normal parts place fine, only a second set of PWings doesn't place correctly. That jump to the edge everytime.

As far as the lift is concerned, I feel the same way. The image in my bug post there, those wings provide plenty of lift, but the "Delta" wings in the game provide more lift than similar sized wings made with PWings. There seems to be a bit of an imbalance.

I was really bored today. I^3 Parachutes This started mostly because I wanted to make my own canopies. Which ended up into making one for each size rocket. But with eight parachutes in the Utilities menu looking the same, I needed an easy way to identify them--I ended up with a retexture of the parachute parts and I messed with the configs a bit. I'll probably do the stock radial parachutes tomorrow in a similar color scheme to match. To me, a .0625m parachute shouldn't create the same drag as the 1.25m parachute, which wouldn't create the same drag as a 3.75m parachute. Since the canopy scales with the part, I scaled the drag of each parachute. It's going to need some balancing, but it was a place to start. Speaking of canopies... Any square png will work, but the image has to be distorted since it's going from a square to a hemisphere on the parachute. Photoshop or GIMP, it's Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates... > Polar to Rectangle. .

Weirdness on build 0.20.0.162 I can't place a second procedural wing ontop of a first to create things like vertical stabilizers. For example, if I try to place it in the middle of Wing 1 like so. It snaps to the wing-tip instead. Other objects work properly, but PD wings don't. Sometimes in flight, this second part jumps around the model. It's been causing weird problems.

There are still a number of mods out there using the deprecated CleverBobCat plugin, so it's nice to see support for it.

I made the .20 config change in my "latest" update just so others won't have to guess. Considering this is a stock part with a new paint job, I can't imagine it wouldn't work.

I think you mean F-16 Fighting Falcon. The F-14 Tomcat (and Super Tomcat) are twin-engine twin-seater interceptors. The F-16 is a single-engine single-seat multirole. They don't look anything alike.

An update to this oddity of loading: I poured through my bootup and noticed I had a few extraneous programs running I normally don't. Adobe and Java always seem to reinstall their updater at the beginning. I'm _really_ not in the mood to test this, but after having disabled Java Updater, Adobe Reader and Flash updater, Steam Client, Spotify, Google Update, iTunes, Kies and Kies et al, Cyberlink, and Logitech Updater, everything seems to be back to normal ~ 3-4m load times. Based on my recent install history, this is probably either Kies (Samsung's sync software), Cyberlink, or Spotify causing me grief. Everything else has been on here for a while (I'm just normally good about stopping those services\programs running at boot time). If anyone really wants to know, I'll do some testing to find out what breaks it.

I'm doing a mod-by-mod test to find out what's going on. So far I've noticed that on clean installs, Romfarer's Lazor mod takes about 10s to load each part, Aviation Lights2 takes about 6s to load each part, and ISA-MapSat takes about 10s per part. Interestingly, the entirety of the B9 Aerospace pack takes almost no time at all--the names of the parts fly by as fast as stock ones. I do have almost two-dozen plugins loaded--if each plugin causes it's parts to load for several seconds each, I can see how that'd easily increase my load times, but at 20+ minutes to load, I'm thinking it has to be an interaction. But alas, I must work today and play later.

Wow--you see, I thought "slow load times" were normal. Vanilla it's about five minutes for me coming off a 10,000RPM Velociraptor through SATAII. I'm going to copy the install over to my SSD to see if it makes a difference. I'd kill a herd of buffalo for three minutes with mods. I intend to convert everyone over to the 7zip master race slowly and subtly by forcing adoption of their compression format. Or I'm lazy. Really only one of those two choices.

Last week, I was having load times that were taking about 26 minutes to get the game to the main menu. I'm happy to say that I managed to get it down to a svelt 22 minutes before the main menu comes up, all by simply removing the Nova Pack. Now, before I play KSP, all I have to do is watch an episode of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Some days, I feel like I could be setting a record.

There should be four files. The model, two textures, and the config.

They're compressed into the .7z format.

It's the stock texture just recolored. What a pain in the male-parts to 'convert' this to work with.
