  2. I think it would be really cool to see modular missiles in the future, with different fins and motors and such. I think that would be amazing. We just have to see.
  3. Because external pipes look wierd, and they have drag. Internal piping allows for more aesthetic design, and less drag at the cost of mass. Internal piping also allows for more complex builds.
  4. As odd as this sounds, I wish we had the ability to pick which tanks fed which engines, which batteries fed which pods, and so on. I think that with something like that more complex designs could be made. Maybe a drag and drop pipe system with valves and stuff? Logic gates?

  6. Welcome Aboard the KS-121 Konstaar BPDV The Konstaar is a basic payload SSTO constructed from mostly stock parts, except for the landing gear, which happen to be from Adjustable Landing Gear I dont have much else to say, so Enjoy! Craft file available at request.
  7. Sorry if I missed the word, but did 1.0 break everything as far as B9 goes? Every update before 1.0 was very swift, and I dont say that to minimize the fantastic work being done by blowfish and everyone else.
  8. Well my apologies then. I have yet to learn to make modifications for KSP. I dont mean to sound rude. If there is a Github where we all can work on this together, cause I would gladly start helping. In postmortem I apologise for my rude comment there. I didnt understand the circumstances on how this is being developed, and it was a very childish thing for me to say.

  12. I kinda get the idea. If possible could you upload a picture of the ospreys CoM, CoT and CoL so I can visualize what you mean. If you dont want to its fine by me.
  13. Alrighty. So I tried what you suggested and pretty much ironed out the stability issues except for one thing: randomly wanting to flip backwards. occasionally when I go into a hover, the aircraft wants to flip backwards, and even with SAS force and manual control, still flips over slowly. CoT and CoM are aligned in the SPH, and the CoM moves up and forwards ever so slightly with empty tanks. Any ideas?

  16. Another question for you: How do you balance your VTOLS? Whenever I make one, as fuel drains the COM shifts from the heavier parts over fuel.

  18. Hey Jester. I was watching your video for the V280 Valor, and I noticed that the missile bay you deployed also moved the missile racks out at the same time. How do you program it to go a certain distance like that?
  19. 600m/s is Mach 1.763... Roughly Mach 2. I'll attach pictures of the phenomena I am experiencing soon. Edit: Mach 1.763 at SEA LEVEL. This would mean that due to the thinner atmosphere, it would be higher, but given the phenomena we would assume I am going faster than Mach 1. Pictures will be added soon.
  20. Hey all, Recently I've tried making some SSTO's, and my ascent profile works quite well, until I hit around 600-800m/s at 19000. I begin seeing reentry effects, and I am pretty sure that is increasing drag by a ton. What should I do. Ascend higher to get out of the atmosphere?
  21. Hey all, I'm working on making a spaceplane with around 200m/s dV remaining in space for maneuvering. I am curious how much weight a RAPIER can handle efficiently, and if the RAPIER's are even worth it. Thanks.
