  1. Also have to account for how many rads/sieverts any Kerbalnauts have taken.
  2. Good thread, now I don't hafta start my own \o/ I'm lookin to start a new career with realism mods for greater career immersion. I'm thinkin: FAR Deadly Re-entry Ioncross (or TAC -- which is 'better' or more highly recommended, and least buggy, most 'polished') possibly RemoteTech -- not sure how it works with the new comms tho. thoughts? what others? not so interested in the re-scale, modular fuel, or ISP scaling. perhaps the latter, maybe.
  3. This really would be awesome to include. Agree completely! Just radiation in general tho, not just cosmic rays. .. also, this really belongs in the Add-On Requests and Support forum, no? =D
  4. +1 for ships/probes to continue scanning or doing whatever job they're intended for while not the focused ship. It may be resource intensive, but there's GOT to be a way to make it workable. I mean, isn't that the whole point of sending out multiple missions simultaneously? Having to actually have a craft focused impedes the implementation of a 'real' space program here. PLEASE Squad. Please figure this out.
  5. Currently there seems to be no advantage to the "higher tech" antennae. Many people have noted this. Sure hope Squad addresses that, since it's clearly not right.
  6. I'd really really really like to see snapping to apokerb, perikerb, AN, and DN. Pretty please? Also, as mentioned above, keyboard controls for node editing would be GREAT. Another annoying thing. If you've got nodes set up for burns, then EVA, then go back into the ship, your nodes are GONE! not cool. very not cool. All nodes should be saved per-ship, regardless of the ship being focused or not. Please.
  7. mmkay ... I wasn't sure if the .dll was updated separately or something .. thx
  8. First attempt at a flag. Not the greatest, but it's okay enough.
  9. Well, he just hasn't realized yet what's about to happen LOL
  10. Well, manned capsules also require electric power. The lack of batteries in the very beginning really needs to be addressed IMHO. At least some other way to generate electricity without firing the rocket engines -- which shouldn't really generate electrical power anyhow. And, yes .. more scientific instruments from the beginning too please. Thermometer, barometer. Simple stuff that logically would exist if rocket engines exist. We know how hot the engines are, but DON'T yet have thermometers? uhhhh LOL
  11. Not to suggest? That's a shame, since 'random' failures are a big part of rocket science. Better tech should fail less. oh well i guess.
  12. Plus 1000. And a Kerbalnauts experience should really should affect how well things go. ... Which brings me to: Kerbalnaut training. I'm sure it's planned, and I hope it gets there soon. GREAT update Squad!! \o/
  13. I haven't played career much yet, but I already agree with all your points. One thing I'd like to add: PLEASE give us unmanned probes from the very beginning. BEFORE manned capsules even. That just makes sense.
  14. Thanks Pontiac ... ... this post (above, thanks to Spektyr) was deleted ?why? now? That's utterly ridiculous. If it's due to models, I'd be happy to make you some. AFAIK the source is open, and you're legitimately forking it. And fixing what has pretty clearly been abandoned.
  15. FALSE!!! A) Your rant is indeed an opinion. Just because you believe it to be a fact does not make it so. Modders do indeed have a responsibility to at least keep the users of their mods updated as to what is going on. The don't "owe" us anything per se. But to not at least make a simple forum post about what is going on is disrespectful to those using the mod. ESPECIALLY an incredibly popular mod such as KW Rocketry. C) One of my primary reasons for preferring PC games over consoles is modding. Most modders do indeed keep the users updated, especially with the more popular mods. Mods that don't at least have forum posts about status end up dying; which is fine, someone else can take it over unless the modder has been one of those who refuses to let go even when it's clear they will no longer update it. I recognize that what I have said is also an opinion, not a fact. subnote: people sure do like to throw the term "entitlement" around a lot these days to try to discredit and belittle people they disagree with. The thing is, people who release software to the public (mods are software) DO INDEED have an obligation to at least let their users know what is happening with said software. Even a simple, "I'm ending development of this." or "I can't work on this for 'x' period due to reasons(stated or not)" ... That's all we're looking for here. People who release software and DON'T do this are being at least a bit disrespectful to their userbase. Are they doing this for free? Of course. But that doesn't absolve them from responsibility the their userbase.
  16. Yes! Exactly. It's not that hard to tell us what's up. I can't agree with your post more, and you said it well. Thank you.
  17. The creation (and deletion, if possible) of categories. I've requested such many a time. Also, could you look into removing the "No available nodes" thing to remove that restriction, please? Pretty please? With <insert preferred sweetener here> on top?
  18. Well, you must know I love it!! Thanks. Very much needed feature IMHO.
  19. re: B> they already plan on implementing it at some point, so why NOT add it re: A> the effort to integrate officially something that is already made is minimal. they'll have to expend the effort at some point to implement it, so instead of re-programming it from scratch, why not just add this .... (see re: B>)
  20. Considering that this is a planned feature for KSP, I don't see why Squad can't just incorporate this mod directly into KSP already. It pretty much fills the requirements, with a couple tweaks ... Like being able to add/delete categories directly in the in-game interface. I even considered posting a [suggestion] thread about that, but figured it'd be best to bring it up here first. I mean, the wheel has already been made here. Why should Squad re-make it when this works perfectly well?
  21. I've got space I could put it on. I just use it for general whatever stuff I might need accessible from anywhere at any time. I could actually put it up on any (or all) of FileDen, 4shared, and Google Drive. Let me know here or PM. .. EDIT .. AFAIK 4shared and Google Drive require the downloader to have an account, but FileDen does not. .. Also, I'm unsure what (if any) download limits may apply.
  22. @DYJ .. Hey, thanks for the post DYJ. Sorry about the confusion there. I'm not trying to spread mis- or dis-information. I SWEAR when I looked at your forum posts the other day there was only 2 pages and the most recent was indeed September 2012. Now I look today and there's a BUNCH of pages with plenty of recent posts. I blame the forum Kraken. Again, so so sorry man. Really all I was lookin for here was a word from you devs on what is going on. Having no word at all is disconcerting, and I thank you for your update. I'll be patient, and do indeed understand IRL busyness. I very much look forward to an official update to DR, and will use IR in the meantime. Thanks again!
