  1. I can't wait for The Resources Update.
  2. For most craft the .22 SAS is great, but I did encounter some extreme wobble when I stacked 4 probes on top of each other. It was stable through launch because I strutted it down, but when I jettisoned the struts the SAS went nuts and shook the craft apart. Everything else I've launched has been rock solid though.
  3. Maybe kerbals aren't dimorphic? You're making a big assumption about their physiology.
  4. I would hate to see the guidance on real rockets wander as much as the new ASAS. I like the concept behind the new ASAS (it is intended to hold a heading, btw). It just needs to be fine tuned to hold a heading more precisely instead of wandering around like it currently does. edit: I mean attitude, not heading.
  5. The new SAS definitely needs to be tuned a little, its not aggressive enough. I put together an SSTO a few minutes ago, and when I get into space and do my circularization burn it allows my heading to drift quite a bit. Also, on the ascent it doesn't seem to be very precise. It drifts slightly and settles on a heading about a degree off of what I want. Then when I try to correct it, the SAS zeroes out the trim that it was using and causes the nose to drop, which requires more corrections and so on and so on. When I finally get it back to where I want it, it drifts a degree off again. /ragescream
  6. I bought KSP right after 0.18 came out. I still can't believe that this game flew under my radar for so long...
  7. The Stayputnik mk2 says that it is constructed from aluminum. Its a stock part, so I think we can consider it a canon source and put it on the table.
  8. In .20.2 I've named my primary save "Capsule Corp", and my goofing around save "Testing Range".
  9. I first heard about KSP on a fan forum for DDO. The demo got me hooked so fast that I bought the full version later that day (this was right after .18 came out).
  10. Scott Manley is by far my favorite. His tutorials were extremely helpful when I was starting out, and his reusable space program series keeps me coming back to his channel for more.
  11. Try setting your trim (alt + [w,a,s,d,q,e], alt + x to zero it out). If your plane is properly trimmed, the ASAS/avionics won't have to fight so hard to maintain its attitude. If you end up maxing out your trim and still can't maintain level flight, you need more control surfaces.
  12. Nuclear Thermal Rockets don't spew radioactive waste. The nuclear fuel is only used to generate heat. That heat is transferred to a propellant which is then ejected out the back. The radioactive materials stay in the rocket, unless there is a containment breach.
  13. I don't understand why people argue about how to play a single player sandbox game. Just do what is most fun for you let others enjoy it in their own way.
