Agreed, nothing alike. Though, if KSP looked like this I would lose my stuff I've put over 10 hours into Take On Mars. I sorta like it in the sense that it's relaxing. But all you do is drive around in a rover and scan stuff pretty much, so it gets boring fairly fast.

I don't mind most of the sound effects in game. Some of the engines are ridiculously loud compared to others though. When I was streaming the other night I had to change the volume down and up a few times because people were complaining they couldn't hear me talk. I get sound bugs fairly often too. During multiple missions to Mun I noticed how my engines make a burn sound, the fade to nothing, repeat over and over every 10-20 seconds or so. Or sometimes I get that crackling/popping sound bug.

I haven't had any crashes yet. Though the new Space Center loads obscenely slow compared to everything else. Sometimes after being in space and around planets for a while, I wonder if my game has crashed while loading the new Space Center, but it always finishes.

If it has a ü it should be pronounced like moon. I tend to pronounce it like sun though, not even sure if it is "Mün" or "Mun" in game, don't remember at the moment.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

I previously used Quantum Fuel Transfer, but apparently it's not working right with .21. Does anyone know of a working one for .21, or seen a fix for Quantum anywhere?
-
Dxtory is probably the best I have ever used. I generally just use Xsplit now to broadcast, and that in turn records to Twitch. After that I can highlight it etc. there.

Do you retract station solar panels before docking?
Dortmunder replied to Oddible's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I just leave them open. Unless for some reason there's one really close to the port I am trying to dock with. Then I might close it. I don't think I have ever had to though, and never accidentally smashed into whatever I am trying to dock with -
Yeah. The only way to do a "clean install" is to re-download stuff. KSP isn't that big though, so I don't know if you have a very small limit or not, but it's no bigger than 1gig. The only way I can think of doing what you want without re-downloading is to go through each folder, and delete each mod, save file, and ship you've created etc. Which may or not be a large project, depending on how much stuff you have going on
-
You can just delete folders and right click on the game in your library. Right click > Properties > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Shrug, by the time the Standalone comes out, a better Arma III DayZ mod will be made by others. The more I see about the DayZ Standalone the less I want to play it. Looks to be getting dumbed down a lot. It was supposed to be released at the end of 2012 too

[0.20.2] Mission Controller v0.10 (06/24/2013) [ALPHA]
Dortmunder replied to nobody44's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ah, that explains it. I had seen it edited on the 24th so thought the links in the main post were updated. Thanks! -
[0.20.2] Mission Controller v0.10 (06/24/2013) [ALPHA]
Dortmunder replied to nobody44's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Every time I try to install this it just doesn't work. I get a blank window with no missions. Extracted into the KSP/GameData folder. -
Updated engine or some sort of work around so KSP uses modern computers to their full ability. And of course, multiplayer That falls under that "otherwise" category I guess, since it will probably never happen. Resources are a big one for me, but that's only a matter of time. Kethane does the job just fine for now.

The new A/SAS
Dortmunder replied to Comrade Jenkens's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
It also works like MechJebs I think, where even if you have it on you can still make directional changes, then when you stop, it locks the new position. Which is awesome. -
What do you guys think of the Mun's new surface?
Dortmunder replied to bigdad84's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It looks pretty good to me. Driving around on it on the other hand... -
Yeah, providing we stop sending stuff up there for those decades Some of the ideas they have for de-orbiting stuff were pretty cool.

I was looking for a current picture of actual estimated space debris around earth and came across this: Pretty interesting, sad, and scary at the same time. I remember about 10 years ago my dad telling me about the amount of crap orbiting our planet and how one day it's probably going to be pretty difficult for us to even launch things into space. The amount of debris created from each collision is nuts, which in turn will likely cause more.

The last patch was a Wed or Thursday I think -
All games go on 75% sale eventually Hell, the new Bioshock has already hit 50%
-
I'll probably buy another copy or 2 if/when it goes on 75% sale Either give them away while streaming or trade them for other games in the steam trading forums.
-
I probably would, if it were possible. Check out the movie Transcendent Man if you're interested in this type of thing
