The KSC needs you to assist in removing debris from the ocean! We may be able to boil away the ocean if we had enough time and Sunbeam lasers, but loiter time is the enemy! The obvious answer is a vehicle that can travel on land and propel itself through water at a reasonable speed, while carrying a laser system to the target. Goal: Build an amphibious vehicle that can travel on land and on water safely, while being able to travel no less than 15 km from the shore! Requirements: - At least one Sunbeam laser system, to be used to eliminate floating debris on site. You must be able to operate the laser without many obstructions [rotating the vehicle is allowed!]. - Land and water travel. How you solve this is up to you! - Range of 15 km or more! Restrictions: No Gravitsapas or other 'cheat' parts. All entries will be judged as they come. Usage of any mod pack is allowed, as long as it\'s balanced well! This is possible! I have a prototype ship that is able to drive somewhat safely on land and float in the water -- moving through the water is another thing entirely.

Quite fun, isn\'t it? Now, start landing planes at the same spot. I\'ve got two, and I plan to just see how many I can fit in this area

Quite Possibly the Hardest Thing I've Landed Yet

300km/s is pretty darn fast. Are you sure it\'s not 300m/s? ;P -
NO FRIGGIN WAY. I have that set as well! It\'s scattered throughout my bins, but I still have it!

There\'s a reason why I will never let my younger sister use my computer...

Windows Movie Maker works, but if you have access to something like Premier Pro or Vegas, I would definitely use it.

Cheddar all the way.

Ooh, nice idea! Thing is, we need 10K supporters to get the project to be looked at, and last I checked, there were about 26K people registered on the forums [probably 32K by now] and only a small, small fraction of those post semi-frequently. TLG would also have to buy the rights from Squad to produce these sets. Seeing as KSP isn\'t even finished yet, it might not be a good idea. Keep in mind Minecraft LEGO was only put onto Cuusoo after the 'final' release.

I like the Mechjeb. It allows me to do stuff I would never have been able to do! I guess that I could work backwards; use plugins to show me how to do stuff, and slowly work my way towards independence. Most of the time though, I\'ll launch a rocket and have it set into a parking orbit while I talk with somebody. It\'s a matter of convenience.

A little help with visibile orbiters?

There was a flare part that could make such craft barely visible at the right angle. -
Could we get little blocks to mount the claw parts on? I want to make claws with two or three grippers as well!

Wow! Very well done, and I quite like it!

Try putting some ice at the top, to increase the temperature differential.

How so? You\'re talking about how some older computers can\'t handle 64 bit, right?
-
I\'ve noticed that KSP in the Task Manager is entitled 'KSP.exe*32'. To me, that suggests that KSP works in 32 bits. If so, does that mean KSP would get some sort of performance boost if it ran in 64 bit?

If I had to guess, that\'s Carl Sagan. I also just realized that 'Rascal Nag' is an anagram of Carl Sagan. Is there something we need to know?

Now that I\'ve been growing out a beard, I should add a new picture of myself.

I see a microscopic cross-section of a plant leaf, Sphess Krakens, UNS Pingas, and the Normandy. Someone likes Mass Effect!

To be specific, your weight will go down as you burn more fuel There was a bug a long time ago that caused SRBs to gain weight as they burned, however.

Every year, WIRO [Wyoming Infra-Red Obseravtory] opens up their facilities for people to visit. Not only did I get to see a cool telescope, and look at the moon through a standard optical telescope, I saw a satellite pass overhead

Artfulshrapnel's Radium Powered Retrofuture Pack!

Am I the only one that noticed the screaming Kerbonaut in the window? The models look nice. I can\'t wait till they\'re in the game! -
Here\'s a fictional vehicle I made up for the Kerbal universe! A long description of the vehicle: This is the Kerbal Transporter. It is an all-purpose cargo vehicle, designed for moving equipment and materials around a factory or the Vehicle Assembly Building. This model comes equipped with the optional headlamps and cautioning strobe light, for added safety. It is pictured here with an aluminum blank used in the production of the FL-T500 and FL-T250 fuel tanks. There is enough aluminum in this blank to make eight and four fuel tanks, respectively. Cargo is loaded onto the top platform and strapped down. To unload, the platform tilts back, allowing the cargo to slide off in true Kerbal fashion. This is my most complex model to date. I\'m quite pleased with how the strobe light and headlamps turned out! Made in AutoCAD 2012, Student License. Six light sources, no refining, Presentation quality render. Took about five minutes. I would have liked to add more details, but I got bored.

I think it\'s a cross between Funk and Electronic.

[PLUGIN, PART, 0.17] Bigtrak KSP Edition v.30 Liltrak
Phoxtane replied to chickenplucker's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don\'t necessarily want to unload the rover; I want to be able to attach it to the side of a lander stage, and then tip over to use the lander stage\'s SAS to keep Bigtrak stable.
