  1. I was just thinking One mod that would be fun to do here would be the sunbeam mod. Especial in multiplayer mod
  2. Hey I told you how to handle bayonets
  3. I may have a craft your looking for. I ll posted later though due to HW and crap
  4. Here is what I meant Edit: it wasn't suppose to be that small
  5. Y'all I just realized. It has been over a year sense the Battle of Vultures Drift
  6. Dang….is Zeke losing his touch?
  7. With it being Saturday…I kinda expected much more activity
  8. Kerbpaint and Hyper Edit are allowed though
  9. Yeah give it that single racing stripe look
  10. I would have done Blue one the outside and white on the inside, or vise versa instead of all blue
  11. One does not simply fire and SRB accidentally.
  12. Could be. You should try it out. If i tried out every new idea for a weapon I would loose all mine
  13. Could be If its really 999 (haven't checked or noticed but wouldn't surprise me) then it might be. Only problem is the way its shaped.
  14. Ok. So what? (not being rude but genuinely asking)
  15. I didn't realize it had that feature. I though I had to click the space bar for each shot. Really though I was just coming up with way to fix the rapid fire accuracy problem and give the weapon style new name for people to recognize He was on earlier but didn't post anything. Did add a scoreboard to the Front page though
  16. Yep, it all depends on which target I am engaging, The other two ships that have the light version only have six per firefall shot so not as much damages is done but the Faithful MKIII has 1 SRB and 2 anti fighter missiles as back up and the Gideon has 8 anti fighter missiles. Each of their I-beams also have the additional hot key set up however due to there not being enough I beams on the Gideon of Faithful, I have to choose between firefall or 3 shots of two I beams Only salvation MKIV does not have the additional hotkey options AT LEAST NOT YET pics for the others will come later
  17. On, plus on the Eden Gunboat, I have the missiles also set to other hotkeys (each hot key fires in sets of two) So I can use the 14 missiles to kill 7 light targets or I can use Firefall (fires 8 missiles [eden and salvation]) on a heavy and still have 3 shots left for the gunboat (or two SRBs and 2 guided RCS/seperator anti fighter missiles for salvation)
  18. Firefall is not designed to be the primary weapon but a tool to assist the primary. If it kills it kills, but if I can weaken a ships defenses, then I can finish it off with a guilder SRB
  19. I was also just thinking Y'all know that Thor class Frigate from Battle of Laythe that was on hanland's side? How awesome would it be to trade out its missile for I-Beams
  20. Eden Class Gunboat and FIREFALL The Eden Class Gunboat was a complete accident (as are most of my designs) as I was simply building to see where my hands would take me. But with each new part, I new something great was going to be made. As I added the weapons I figured I had made a good ship for the donation box. Boy, was I wrong. It was with her that I discovered a new way to use I beam missile tech, thus FIREFALL was born FIREFALL The name Firefall comes from 1st Kings Chapter 18 of the Bible where Elijah ask God to send fire down from heaven to show that the later is the one true God to the Israelites who had turned from him and started worshiping the false god Baal Firefall uses Ibeams but I address two problems that I beams cause 1st: I beams are strong, but a single beam (or two) is normally not enough to kill heavy ships. Taking multiple shots to kill which causes the second problem 2nd: When multiple shots are fired, reliability decreases. Due to newtons law "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" constant hitting exactly where you want it to hit decreases due to multiple hits. Firefall deals with these problems by sending multiple Ibeams out in one shot and at the exact same distance. This allows heavy damage while making newtons law have minimal affect until after the damage is done. Imagine 8 I beams coming at you and all hitting at the exact same time. A 3rd problem Firefall makes up for is that (as we all know) I beams are quite light and SRBs are not, so I can stick a bunch onto a ship without adding a whole bunch of weight (Eden Class Gunboat weights ~37 tons, and has two nuke engines, 3 large 1 meter fuel tank, and 14 total I-beams) Should Firefall not acheve the desired one shot kill, I now have a huge hole in the targets armor to finish it off. The two drawbacks is that I only get one shot with it so I have to have extra missiles to insure that I can keep fighting and the amount or recoil is quite high on it I also set it up to use the Abort button so that I can use the rest of the action groups for other stuff. PICs First target: Derk MK XIV-I Second Target: MU Battlecruiser Currently, the Firefall weapon system is installed on four ships in to different configurations Heavy Firefall: Salvation MKIV and Eden Gunboat Light Firefall: Faithfull MKIII and Gideon MKIII
